If anyone's wondering why Colin made the top of that list:
ColinIsCool wrote: Fri Oct 19, 2018 10:12 pm Ok, I went back myself and did quick ISOing. Between DDL and Luna DDL certainly seems to be laying low more and tonally I don’t feel good about him like I do Luna, so, DDL.
This after asking the thread to hold his hand through a DDL case makes me think he just wanted a reason to vote for DDL, the popular option. "Laying low more"? Yeah bro he said he'd be gone all day. Tonally you feel better about him than Luna? That means nothing to me. Might as well be French.

As an aside it looks like a decent amount of people gave Speedchuck their vote yesterday but I can’t recall if people said the same about me. I think I’m the end DH gave me vote #4 or something like that? We should probably make a chart for reference
I ended up voting for speedchuck. I avoided the question on purpose. I wanted to see who would ask me specifically thinking whoever did, may be keeping a spreadsheet. Are you keeping a spreadsheet?

Maybe its because I don't, but I'm not gelling with this line of thought. IDK. I'll have to see more from DDL to make a call on it but Luna's interactions with Eloh and etc makes me feel not so great about her.

In hindsight, nonvoters are less disruptive to this game than any other one, I wonder why sprityo held onto that directive.

This may have already been covered. My reasoning for finding skers is like “do they care who gets lynched?” or “are they trying to thread the needle between town and scum play to neither get nked nor lynched.” I don’t think the second applies and the first is pretty easy to fake.

General thoughts on this? If it’s alfrady been discussed, I’ll find it myself.

Im pretty okay with Speed or Quin having a flamethrower on a general level.

Pretty well disagree with Mac being burned if it was for not voting but that’s the problem with policy lynches. They seem like a good idea until they lock you into a bad decision.

Hahaha....some of us have responsibilities other than mafia. For instance, tine to start Histpry class. We are learning about the beginning of American Government...the kids are so excited!
I didn't like history when I first started learning it but my teachers made me change my mind fast. I think it was my strongest subject at school (except maybe English) and I'm an exact sciences guy.

I don't know how you are picking your curriculum but here is a tip that may or may not be applicable: focus on the politics involved in the events rather than on boring stuff like dates and names. Like, why the politicians did X and Y, who were the powers influencing each event, who wanted what in each period of the story. This makes the whole thing much more entertaining, because history is all about different powers colliding and backstabbing each other.

We use an awesome curriculum called Story of the World. I, personally love it. I hated History in school because of the very reasons you say to avoid. The curriculum we use is a classical approach to History which emphasizes the incidents rather than names and date. The only thing I could do to make it better is hire people to act it out rather than me read it to them. They did have fun with the Boston Tea Party, but that's only because they were familiar with the story from a Team Titans Go episode.

We should treat the flamethrower as an extra resource to get reads on the players, not as an extension of the lynch poll

This makes the whole thing much more entertaining, because history is all about different powers colliding and backstabbing each other.
lol DDL I can see Eloh teaching her 6 year old (or is he 5) about backstabbing
Isn't one of them like 10?

Anyway if this isn't useful now, it might be useful later in high school.

Hi poutanko! Welcome to the syndicate. I've recently updated my signature with a link to all my games if you're curious about my play style.
This post feels like avoidance. You could have explained your post to bunny but them you pointed out to a link instead.

Sure does. I would be surprised if Luna was civ. Everything she says seems so bad.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

Eh. The “Speed could be bad, wait, Speed could be good.” thing is annoying enough on a D1 where not much has happened and a DDL bandwagon seems to be leaving the station. Colin has been pushing weaksauce stuff against two people I’m kinda townreading rn: Speed and DH. I’ll put my vote on him for now, and perhaps move it if he elaborates on those feelings in a satisfactory way.
If you flip-flip more I might start thinik you are nutella in disguise.

I think the cases against Luna and DDL are interesting but still fairly weak. I’m poking around based on gut and seeing what happens, basically. Developing a possible list of suspects and feeling people out.
...you should start poking people around a bit earlier if you want to feel people out. You barely poked anyone Image
I’LL POKE WHO I WANT HOW I WANT, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

In your own words, what’s the difference between your civilian and scum game?
What's with this all caps post? I'm just saying you need to start poking earlier and I don't remember seeing you "poking" people around before your vote on Colin. You just dropped town read on Speedchuck, Dharma and me. Other than that you barely interact with other players. No need to yell like that or is it because you don't like me pointing that out? What's with this reaction?

My town play and scum play are very different. DDL and novase can tell you. It should be very easy to spot.
Eh no I don't think I know how to read you.

Heck don't even remember when was the last time I saw scum you.

Sprityo looks worse after this day. It's one thing to murder an inactive day 1, it's another to use that as an excuse to avoid scumhunting them posting a bunch of salad after you execute said inactive.

I feel like I need to explain my day 1 actions.

I didn't have any decent suspects yesterday morning, and I don't really enjoy ISOing people and forcing myself to form suspects because that tends to cause confirmation bias. So I just voted to avoid sprityo's flaming death. Then I went to my roleplaying table.

I admit my activity yesterday was turd and people call me an hypocrite regularly for judging people even though I'm not doing much but I don't let that keep me from saying what's on my mind.

@DDL, you word this like i didnt give everyone the equal opportunity to not die. when in fact that's not the case.

Youre presenting this like anything i DID do was useless.

Pray tell, would it have been better to follow through with my clear cut, easy to follow plan, then by chance lynch a townie? Or at the last hours of the day go "yknow, i change my mind, ill kill with the votes" or "ill kill whoever i want" and possibly lynch a townie?

youre taking a leap of logic i find insulting to my thought process, what i did was the best way to get the game rolling, and even then, we still had minimal participation. Nothing motivates more than fear :mafia:
