I do it if I'm not familiar with a player or if someone mentions that some ones behavior is showing a pattern but I don't do it a lot. You're right, it takes time and I don't always have that.
Yeah, I've thought about doing that, but it's just never really worth my time. Not a bad idea though if you have time to spare and get a lot from reading old games.

Nova calls for 2 town reads, 2 scum reads:
Sloonei reiterates luna an nova as town
Dunya says everyone is town except 2 of Julie’s, Mongoose, Colin, speed

Mac says he will follow dunya to heck (this may have been a joke as opposed to calling her out as town)

Sloonei leans town on Mac

Juliets says Sloonei reads town.

Colin thinks Sloonei is town based on his Day 0 reads.

Colin says he doesn’t have any suspects at the moment but doesn’t think Julie’s or sloonei are bad and Luna is “probably good”.

Mac calls Colin town.

Dunya reads Mac’s “I AM TOWN” as town.

Sloonei reads nova, dunya, Luna and Mac as town

Colin reads “probably town” on dunya, Julie’s; reads lean town on Luna, reads town on Sloonei

(The sequence here is a little confusing because he had just voted for dunya)

Juliet reads dunya, Mac, Mongoose and Sloonei as town.

(Mac changes his read of Colin to mafia)
I applaud the handywork but I wanted people who were actually arguing with scum reads not just unsolicited town reads. Like "I disagree that this person is Mafia".

It doesn't look like you understood what sloonei or I were trying to get at after all.

You got any first impressions of any of these fine folks in here?
See my post above where I go through a few of these. I was reading this thread as fast as Cruella de Ville drives (so please forgive me if I ask or say something that the record would reflect), but I was kinda shocked to see the Colin vote. If the vote did end tonight instead of tomorrow, would you comfortable leaving it there?
I totally overlooked this question. If the vote ended right now, I'd be more comfortable with a Colin vote than several others, but he would not be my first choice.

My vote early in the phase is never ever final. I usually change it about a hundred times per day just to feel things out.

I liked his post where he gave everyone grades, shows he is approaching the game analytically, and I like the post where he asked everyone to get moving and vote. Voting early is not really my style but he convinced me it was the right thing to do. I won't be putting a vote on Sloonei today unless something big happens to convince me he is bad.
I liked that a lot too. I felt it was brave, as something like this isn’t without its risks.

Trying to catch up as quick as I can.
What are the risks involved in posting the way I did early on? I'm unclear on whether you're referencing my "report card" post or my plea for votes.

I didn't like his post about Mac "emulating" supatown Mac and his explanation didn't hold water for me. I also don't know what he's talking about re: my behavior in World Asunder. I was asking questions early on in that game, nothing anyone said changed my behavior. I also didn't like this post:

Not a good look madam
Mongoose's comment "Third time's the charm" sounds just like something she would say. It's talking about her history here since she's been back. I don't think it's a bad look at all and it seems like he's nitpicking.

So, all that keep him in my POE for now.

Are you talking about the lists I compiled for Mac? I was surprised there weren't more people challenging others mafia reads. Nothing struck me about the few instances I found. On the people who declared others town early in the game I expected to find what I found. People were throwing around names for civs early, and people were asking for reads so I'm not surprised there were civ reads. I don't really know why Mac wanted me to pull the lists together, he never explained.

I have denied the similarities. I have no idea what you are talking about in World Asunder. What was said and what did I start doing? It seems like something you're just throwing out there knowing it can't be verified.
Not so at all. This reads like an accusation. Is it?

Here's what I'm talking about RE: A World Asunder:
G-man was the first to call you out Day 1 here:
G-Man wrote: Sun Dec 09, 2018 11:07 pm Juliets spends most of her time responding to people’s thoughts and stances on other people without offering many of her own thoughts on anyone. I feel like this is normal but it’s also easy to fake. Her post count is high but it is, as she admits, all over the place. Is she being a sponge or just feigning a somewhat active appearance?
I followed that up with an ISO here. To paraphrase the key points made against you in this game, G-man and I were both concerned that you were spending a lot of time poking people with questions and responding to what others had to say, but you were not offering your own reads. You responded to these accusations by posting a big long list of reads the following day.

Compare that with this game. dunya kicked off the suspicion by saying that your behavior was " in direct contrast with her usual day 0 conduct where she digs in and asks people for elaborations or some such." You responded to this and similar criticisms by digging into [url=http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 38#p520538]things.[url]

Now this may be a little unfair as an accusation, since the premise is that your behavior was missing something it should have had, and if you're town your natural behavior should follow on its own. But the observations I've made are that A) in your most recent scum game, you responded to accusations by doing exactly what you were accused of not doing and B) in this game you've responded to accusations by doing exactly what you were accused of not doing. This does not need to mean you are bad, but it's something that I am taking note of.
The only problem with this is you are making assumptions that I am behaving and behaved according to my meta because someone brought it up instead of it being a natural evolution of my game. Look at ANY of my games where I was civ. I prod and poke people with questions and I respond to what other people say. Remember, in Asunder I was hunting just like I do when I'm civ because there was another team out there and I was looking for them.

I am weary of this argument. We need to just agree to disagree.

After looking at him in Community and Asunder (he only had 4 pages for 7 days) I'm inclined to heed your point and not vote him today.

I got a lot more work rolled into my job today and I am going to be a wee bit occupied. (Also I’m not getting a raise if you were curious. :slick: )

But I will do my best to reassess the thread and get better reads before EOD. I see many of you now believe I’m just regular dumbass Colin so that’s a relief.

I will be at work today until late this afternoon. I put a vote on sprityo because I don't like the way he entered the thread and speed before him didn't do anything.

If you are considering voting for me because you think this is my baddie meta I beg you to go look at a game where I was civ. My behavior in Asunder was my civ behavior because I was hunting another team. You will see in other games that I question and prod and ask opinions because as I said earlier, that's the way I assimilate the game as well as hunt. I don't always do something right away in the thread with the information I glean but every answer I get informs my opinions and next steps. This is just the way I play.

Ok I'm off for the day. I should be back before EOD but I won't have much time.

The report card - let’s say you are right in the money about one or more of the mafia - that could make you an N1 target. Or if a civ is overly defensive about not having the right analysis attributed to him or her, it could make you an easy target for D1. Brave just because these are (I imagine) initial impressions since we are still in literal D1.

There's absolutely no consistency or development there. It's a bunch of nonsense. Some of his posts in between are missing, he went from the "lynch with enthusiasm please" to what I assume is town-reading him in the turn-o-metre exercise. The second quote comes immediately afterwards, when Sloonei made an iso of Colin calling him the safest player in the game. Then we're back to null with a 50/50 on Colin, and describing his play from both possible alignment which I don't care much for at all. And we finish with Juliets and Sprityo being his Mafia team, while his vote is still on Colin lol.

no. again, you're really downplaying what i'm saying. i'm voting for you because i feel like you're buddying juliets and misrepresenting the points sloonei and i made against juliets. you're brushing them off like they're nothing, but a civilian would be more paranoid than that because they would weigh the evidence and take their sweet time to determine whether or not the points add up against her.

whether or not i still believe juliets is bad at this point is irrelevant. how you treated juliets (and me and sloonei by extension, by reducing our case against to juliets to "you are expecting her to post x-amount of posts in x-amount on time she was online and ask x-amount of questions") makes me feel you're bad.

luna's reaction, on the other hand, was one of genuine curiosity. it makes me feel like luna is considering what is being said in full and not brushing it off easily because she can't be 100% sure of anyone. if you're scum, on the other hand, you can be 100% sure juliets is not.

i'm sorry, i can't say "i'm not voting for so-and-so" because i enjoy playing with them as much as i wanted to in the beginning. this game is over after 2 mislynches and i don't want to hurt my team.

i do genuinely love playing with you, mongoose. and i feel bad i'm voting for you for this reason.
