I think Llama makes some fair points about DharmaHelper quashing discussion, though from my point of view it just seems like it's in DH's self defense that he does so. Llama's participation in this game feels a little bit... different than in other games I've played. I can't quite put my finger on it, but maybe I can elaborate more when my vocabulary ceases to fail me so.

Not to undermine DharmaHelper's intelligence in any way, but the first thought that comes to my mind is that with him being the near-only worker on His Royal Anus's clues is that it would be the perfect way to cover up that he might be one person who has a secret role. Perhaps he's intentionally flubbing some missed translations on purpose to add credence to his innocence?

It absolutely is different. I had a very busy couple of weeks and lost track of what was happening in the game. I'm more comfortable now that I've done a couple of rereads, but am not as confident as I would have been if I had been keeping up all game.

Loads of back-and-forth between Sherlock and DH, as far as I can tell, and little else of interest; please correct me if I'm wrong. Going to watch the Grammys for Paul and Ringo, so I'm mostly just posting to show off my brand-spanking new signature.

Media possesses a sliding scale of powers based on the combination of votes against her and direct mentions of her player's name. If she votes for herself, it does not add to her scale. Wow, yeah this definitely looks like Ok Computer was Media. That is a hard role to pull off, but makes a lot of sense as to his program gambit.

DH thank you for doing all this work on the code. I sadly have not had the kind of time today to devote to it and would only get a few words in the time you have solved many.

I am still thinking about bea and BWT. We did not have a minion kill the last two nights it seems? Although there was some speculation that on the previous night there might have been one correct? Definitely want to compare who we voted on both nights and see what comes up.

When he does not find Jack, he can send a proposal to that player the subsequent day period via the host, offering them the use of a night kill. That player has the remainder of the day period to respond to the offer. If they take the offer for the night kill, they will send in a target via PM that subsequent night, but in reality, Delbert will choose the real target, and Delbert's target will be killed. Every time Delbert successfully executes an "offer" kill, he gains one lynch stop. must kill every other player to win (except Jack, ~~ ~~e~ ~e~~ ~~).

I don't think DH cracking the codes is necessarily indicative of his civviness or baddiness. He's one of the best mafia codebreakers I've ever seen (along with Long Con), so it doesn't surprise me that he's done so much and gotten much further with them than I probably would have in a week.

I can see where llama is coming from with the over-defensiveness somewhat. On the one hand, it was only Day 1. But I thought it was odd at the time and I forgot about it and had moved on to other suspicions. Might be worth checking out though. I'll have to think about it.

And in terms of Epig, I would say I'm still suspicious of him but trying to consider the possibility of him not being a baddie like I think he is. So probably a mild suspicion for now.

Can tamper with the night posts every night, addinng in one occurrence of his choice that didn't actually happen. As a being of ~~s~~~~l presence, he can continue to do this even from beyond the grave. additionally, as long as he is alive, the killer on his team can kill twice every time instead of once.

If I understand the question, no.

I'm finding the secrets fascinating - if there's anything left not decoded tomorrow morning, I'll take a crack at what's left.
But good work DH!

It might explain a lot actually - not just the role-checks (and that does make a *lot* more sense than MP 'randomly' describing both me and lizzy as baddies).
It also would explain a head-scratcher I hadn't figured out. Some of the failed NK attempts *may have been faked*.

Here it says in the bottom of the post that Nev survived (also says so in the recap on the front page)

It makes no mention of the other attempt on Nev however, leading me to think that one was faked.

The first kill attempt being real makes more sense too - we know that at that time the Manipulators had two kills (because of the secret power of the exaggerator).

We know the Lizzy one was wrong. Looking back, i have seen no evidence of Homestar Runners game show, so that person may be dead, or very, very subtle. So either of those could be faked. I could see fewer reasons to say someone was bad than someone was good (it's a secret role, the baddies could not have known we would get the secrets revealed), but it could go either way. Cred vs. framing. This is actually a very clever role~ kudos to the host who thought it up (INH?).

Linki~ thanks :D And those faked NKs were on the night Moriarity did not check people?

The reveal was always accurate in Sherlock mafia. But his role became useless once Lizzy posts her list.

N2 and n4 had moriarty reveals with too many targets, and n3 was probably the failed nk on me..
But what about n1? I don't see anything that could be fake except the other nk attempt, but that one seems more legit.

Still cracking at this one but it solves the Mycroft Mystery.
This leads me to question how Epi was so sure about the kills showing up that have now been revealed to be form an Indy source which can potentially get a kill if he finds Jack...
Epignosis wrote:I do not think "Alarm Clock" is a Night kill. I think that has more to do with affecting a Day / Night phase (i.e., time). I believe BB got a kill the same way Mycroft did.

Interesting that bea survived a kill from both a civilian and a villain.

At this juncture I think it's clear that Zodac is manipulating the Night polls, probably in the same fashion I have illustrated before. Beware.

AceofSpaces is off the poll.

Hi everyone,

I have a very busy week ahead, including being out of town Thurs. and Fri., and my computer is in its death throes. I'll try to be engaged, but if I don't, that's why. Just fair warning.

I'll probably catch up and decide who to vote tomorrow evening, because I'm tired and frustrated right now and I'll be busy during the day tomorrow.

Zodac cannot be night killed. Whenever players are voted on during a resurrection or an unblockable kill event, Zodac chooses among all of the players, and his selection is ressurected or killed, whichever is applicable. During an unblockable kill event, the player of Zodac's choosing is killed, regardless of any ability or condition that normally would protect the player from night kills. Zodac is ~~~~~e~ every night ~~~~ ~o~ ~~n~ players are still alive in each faction (civvies, each baddie team, Independents). Additionally, Zodac decides who is lynched in the event of any ties. Can win with any team.

Up yours, aspie. Some of us have actual jobs, ya freebooter.

At this point, I'm all but certain of Dh's civvieness. He helped with the Caesar code bullshit from Avant Day and now he's openly translating Sherlock's code. If he were bad, he could keep all that info to himself and unravel the codes via PM's to the host. instead, he's openly disemminating the information. Granted, there may be the SLIGHTEST of possibilities thatg he's mastermining an elaborate and ballsy baddie agenda but I don't think that is likely.
