Which makes each case of scum hunting a completely new affair. It's like if you played a game with 3-4 survivors you had to kill who all knew each other but didn't actually need each other. You can't really build many connections between anyone)

Getting themselves even more town cred. Because even if some town finds out a scum after their numbers diminish it's not like they can out it)
