He is able to attempt a kill on nights that he uses the ability. One person died Night 1, Drago. That wasn't Mac's doing.
Three people died Night 2. Mac didn't kill himself. Mac almost certainly doesn't kill ted (he was town-reading him). It's possible Mac and I both targeted Turnip Head. That'd be goofy, but it's conceivable and stranger things have happened.
I could also see Mac withholding the kill on Night 1 if he had it, but I say that without having gone back to inspect the strength of his reads at the time. Or he could have targeted somebody that was protected.

I do not know. In all honesty, I do not understand how the role works with only how it is written. Is it a commute+vigi every other night? A commute/vigi alternating? A commute every other night with a 1x vig that can only be used the same night as a commute?
