based on...

1) tutuu heavily implied she was going to murder the entire playerlist because we claimed too much. but we have already seen strong roleclaim restrictions from 3 players, as well as 2 mafia members with abilities that punish claiming. Does it make sense to also have a 3P that could wipe out everyone in addition to that? like there has to be a reasonable limit on how many roles exist purely to punish claiming

2) if juliets was not roleblocked, then her ability guarantees that tutuu is town because it wouldn't have gone through otherwise (I know it went through because I was stuck in a lift). but if juliets was roleblocked, then she would have been notified and her shot refunded (this is why I mentioned that juliets was not notified earlier)

3) there are still 3 mystery roles (mac, oddmerta, spf) on the table and there is no way for 3P tutuu to be confident enough to claim scum when she has no way of knowing if those roles could have stopped her from doing what she wants. there are some wordings of a theoretical 3P role with a mass sopukill that would make this unlikely (eg. if it was worded as a passive or something) but still, why risk it? just wait an hour more and avoid throwing

4) the way tutuu danced around the topic of who the last scum was made it look like she was trying to fish for their identity and didn't actually have a night chat with them.

5) as mac and nanook have mentioned, it would be pretty awful from a role balance and game design perspective to have the 3P be able to win that easily while screwing everyone else over, despite how well the rest of the town did.

I think my decision is that if we have a red check (eg. someone is tracked to wilgy, or PC detects ted was lying), we'll pursue that, and if we don't then we exe tutuu to guard against the possibility she really is 3P.

really horrible situation and if she is town I hope she learns to never make jokes like these again. it's totally fine to joke about being scum but make it clear that it's a joke and don't lead people on into thinking it's real.

I did put my protect on Wilgy last night as planned so he wouldn't be role blocked but that doesn't do any good in the face of a kill. I feel like I wasted my action because as Dizzy pointed out Wilgy couldn't even track unless it was one of the random abilities.

I don't think a protection action on a player is a waste. It shows you had good instincts and that there is some more missing info.

tutuu I love you to death and I want to believe you about night 1 but I had never thought about the fact you could have blocked me. In your favor though Alison did say she was stuck in a lift and her results were delayed and I don't believe she is mafia and faked all that. I just don't understand why you made the 3P claim but maybe I'll feel better about it in the morning.
