He seems to know what a player salad is but doesn't know what TR means. Just seems odd to me. I don't know why one would fake it though but just putting this down since i noticed alot of his posts D2 are just asking about terminology.

Partially I guess, although there is some slight sarcasm in that specific post. I've had him as gth town and soft green in the wall you dissected. He'd be upper PoE I'm thinking right now when I get done doing my homework here.

no urgency in posting to get heat off them, takes game at their own pace

dunno who the player is or if this applies but I'd say it's still a good look regardless of who they are

good enough for D1

Noted that CBG has been a slanker D1 as much as D2. I only now noticed that half his ''D1'' posts are D0 and it inflated his postcount. I thought the pattern was

D1 - semi-active
D2 - notices people steering away from slankers and decides to lower activity

Thinking he's townier now.

I've been pretty shy about my vote and it's weirding me out. Not just my vote actually more like who I want to push or eliminate in general. I was thinking it's part of the anon/sockpuppet experience, it's making me kind of unable to commit in some weird ways even though I actually have scum reads lol. I'm all over the place in my head.

Kinda sucks so far that there is little vote movement but it's partially my fault. I think i voted 3 times the entire game.

Do you have a reason to townreads him? We don't do nulls here.
Bart Simpson wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2020 5:15 pm You clear him based probably on your own game behaviour which is wrong, you are unique in your way, he is also unique in his way. I disliked his play today.
Not really as I don't have a playstyle similar to him at all, and none of his behavior is something that I'd do. It's more about how I view it in the same way one views something as townie or scummy. It's I guess just a fancy gut read or more like a tonal one. Another way to put it would be like seeing the agenda or motivation behind posts. I don't town read all low posters or slankers, I try to the best of my ability to differentiate between scum slanking/lolcatting and town being disengaged or lhf. One way would be is that if the slank/disengagement is genuine or if that they're trying to sell that vibe rather than actually embody it. Sometimes I townread dumb post like some of the stuff he has done because I feel that it's unlikely to come from that scum pov. I'm not afraid to read people no matter how little content they have. Sometimes those evolve as soul read or wander the pit of the PoE lol.

Still though that doesn't mean I'm clearing him and that he's hard town. He's still in the upper PoE as I mentioned since the optimal one is 6 and I have stronger TRs.

If you figured out who I am, that's basically my MO.

I've explained my absence already, but to be more specific a family member is sick and my life priorities and time distribution are different from how they were at the start of the game, and likely will be for the foreseeable future. I will not be more specific than that given that you are all possibly strangers to me. I will be making time whenever I can.

I am asking about some mafia lingo as it comes up because this is my first time hearing these specific instances of mafia slang. You can draw whatever conclusions from that that you'd like to draw.

CBG sitting at 2 votes after half the game expresses suspicion on him and verbally agrees that he's probably the best vote for today is stinky. I think his teammates are trying to have their cake and eat it too by saying they scumread CBG so they get cred if he flips red, but in reality vote elsewhere so he doesn't die. LC was caught with this pattern in Grasslands Mafia. If CBG is town I'd expect the wolves to be piling on him for their free misexe because he's determined to make himself look bad. But all I see on his wagon are tumbleweeds.

Lisa especially seems to be going out of her way to cast shade on everyone but CBG. Grampa voted Homer over CBG after saying CBG was scummier earlier, and is tight-lipped about why.

I have to go do some stuff but should be back for EoD.

The push on me day one was bad, the push on me here is bad. Marge might be delusional. CBG and Lisa both look like wolves who are desperate to find a mischop to hide behind and salvage one more day.

Homer is just useless but could be playing a "I'll just glide to F7 if the town doesn't find any wolves and then read everything and heroically pop one in the small sample" game...there are Syndi-cats who buff their rep on wolf pops even if it costs town losses.

Otto is a never chop...so is Skinner for entirely different reasons.

Krusty, Allison, Bart, Grampa Hugh and Grumple are definitely not getting my vote today.

This is roughly where I'm at I think

Skinner
Bart
Allison
Otto
Marge
Homer

PoE -

CBG
Grumple
Grandpa
Mr. Burns
Krusty
Lisa

I'm treating Skinner as a mod-confirmed slot seeing the absence of any CC, so he's blue in a 2 color rainbow. Marge dropped a little bit, I think 24 hours ago making this rainbow she'd have topped it (outside Skinner). I feel pretty confident about the top 4 if I'm reading the game anyway close to correctly. Homer over CBG and Grumple was pretty tough, they're all in the same ballpark of gth town. I'd say Grumple looks the best from an objective stand point with his content from D1 but I just have a stronger feel for Homer. The gut knows best I guess. Anyway both are in the PoE 'cause it requires 6 names and they're the weakest links. I've somewhat mellowed out on Grandpa although I'm still waiting for some active content that doesn't revolve around low posters.

Hugh, remind me again what your case on Krusty was? And does Otto (a strong townread of yours) having locked him town based on (presumably compelling) meta reasons change your view of Krusty at all?

Allison Taylor wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2020 6:53 pm CBG sitting at 2 votes after half the game expresses suspicion on him and verbally agrees that he's probably the best vote for today is stinky.

Interesting take. Also pretty fair I think, he's been somewhat of a consensus scum read which you'd expect to be running away with the vote. Counter point would be D1 with Mill who was pretty similar to CBG and the wagons were tied until an hour before EoD. Not sure how long exactly before EoD the suspicion on Mill materialized though.

Maybe the wolves aren't in danger? And weren't in D1 :ponder:

After CBG it's a bit of a shitshow with high jass and his death by paperwork routine, lisa, Marge.

Then there's the tinfoil open wolves which I'm just gonna keep to myself
Why am I there lol? Come on now.

Talk to me about Lisa and Marge. Especially interested in the latter since she was my top TR not too long ago but has been absent for a while now.
It's the death by paperwork factor. Tough day at work making me begrudge long reads.
Lashing out for your reaction as well.
But you're just chilly chill.

CBG most likely. It's the disingenuous nature of his posts.
Just fluff and glib commentary.
Drops reads without justification.

Aiming for twtbw is crap. I don't like his style.
What do you think about Homer? I don't like CBGs PoE of 6 players, it's way too much scattershot, but I also am wary of Lisa rubbing his nose in his list & where they're voting
I'll dive into homer when home from work.

He's a temp lock. It's got a timer.
My dude has fooled me before, but he's looking as close to lock town as I can ever give him.

I have reservations about CBG. On one hand you have Marge who says that wolves would want to be active, not aloof (but definitely awoof. haha get it? hahaha guys why aren't you laughing?), but then on the other hand there are players who suss the aloof approach. Outside the Simpson family (excluding me), people haven't liked Homer's posts, so why would Wolf!CBG take on the Homer approach when that's only sat well with a minority? But then if Marge really is right, Wolf!CBG would regress a little to not attract attention, and that would fit here

Except he IS attracting attention.

so it's bad play, but I can't fathom a reason why a wolf would do it when D1!CBG was more town-read and the switch has caused him to drop into the "might be a good choice today" POE

Homer has been consistent, CBG has changed, and I don't know if I think the change is wolf indicative
I won't exactly cry over a CBG chop if it happens, and I will probably join the wagon if it ends up being a tight race between CBG and someone who I think is townier

Idk, I think Homer has a better chance of flipping wolf of the two, maybe

while typing this reply I remember that someone mentioned something about CBG that impacted their read, something about pregame, I need to go find that

please hold, your call is very important to us

CBG's first 7 posts are D0, but after that it's a pretty even split between D1 and D2

On review, Lisa is right: CBG's D2 is almost identical to his D1. I was thinking he'd offered more in the beginning but it looks like I misremembered. The reasoning for reads is about equal in effort across both days. In other words... my assertion that CBG was different D1 is wrong. This is just more of the same CBG.

For Lisa this makes him townier... for me that makes him closer to Homer, who I just don't buy as a chilled-out townie villager
