@Alison There's literally nothing towny about falcon. 3/3 things I noticed about him were scum indicative if anything.

I would greatly appreciate if you could elaborate what about him is towny.

Having a sense of humor is a towntell for him. Contrast with, eg. Bee Mafia where he was a lot more stiff and down to business.

I think the tracker claim is NAI. If they're scum they know they won't get soupkilled and can claim whatever they want. If they're town it's genuine. I don't see why opening up with a wacky claim is out of scum range.

I didn't like #60 from honey. Tone was contrived, and felt a little out of place and uncomfortable. #47 is kinda LAMIST, and also doesn't make sense as an opener if you're baiting a soup kill. (If you're baiting a soup kill, you want mafia to think that you forgot about the soup kill and are carelessly outing your role.)

Yeah, they can claim whatever they want as scum, but the claim isnt the reason i tr honey, its the fact that it is a strange way to open the game as scum. it instantly pulls attention to your slot & it's more importantly it's unlikely that scum thinks of opening like that in the first place.

I am reading mansnicks town primarily because his tunnel on Dolby feels like a villager who's excited to have nailed a wolf. There's a lot of small stuff that most scum players wouldn't think to fake that make the tunnel more authentic: the advance declaration of an EOD vote, the suspicion that an errant sentence was meant for scumchat, and the self-acknowledgement that it's a tunnel but going through with it anyway. Also to his credit is the fact that he's repping a pretty heavy tunnel on Dolby but has continued to solve and make posts about people other than him: one of the most common reasons to fake a big tunnel as scum is that you can just post about that person and nothing else and be relinquished of the burden of doing actual solving because you're "just too tunnelled to see the big picture!!"

Why's it unlikely for scum to think of opening like that? Especially if honey comes from a site where it's commonplace to claim hypos and N0s immediately, so both alignments do it as a matter of routine.

mansnick has been making reads (which is a low standard but we're only 80 posts in so its meaningful imo), maybe I just like his playstyle, but he is town for now.

Like look at the last game Nanook ran here, soup galore, townies were claiming even when people were yelling at them not to. Wolves cleaned up with 5/7 on the last night via soup.

If I thought I could bait out a claim and look townie doing it, or push for something to be revealed to add to the pool of soup you bet I'd be doing it.

soup kill is only ever used in role madness, where banning roleclaiming would just make the game painfully unfun, + most role madness has custom roles that can't share their results unless they out their function, therefore stifling host creativity. plus playing against banned roleclaiming as pr is frusturating
