It's about building worlds. One generates a POE and then verifies the players in that POE can coexist and make sense. That's what I do in every game. There's a critical post that came immediately after the one Marmot asked me about, which you have declined to bring up and probably declined to even see:

I was experiencing dissonance with my Hally read around that time. That's when they were revving it up and improving their posture considerably. That's a starting point for what has become a confident town read.
