Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Night 2]
I'm serious about this.
If you want me to answer a question, don't mention me with a tag. Just ask. I'll see your question as I read and get to it eventually.
It isn't a game-related thing. I hate the tags (for mafia games), because I can't reply to them. Please don't mention me if you want to hear from me, because I have to quote your post if you want me to respond to you, and quoting a post with a mention tag in it is nightmare for me.
Quin, I did see your question though, and I'll respond when I can.

How is switching votes around a bad thing? What do you think makes a mafia more comfortable: A static lynch or a dynamic lynch?Iron_Dwarf wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2018 7:05 am Other points:
- The end phase was as someone else said a hilarious 'clown fiesta'. So many people constantly switchting votes around.
- This makes me suspicious of Epi. He was one of the main instigators of this. He switched a lot. And he had some sort of theory on DDL and Dr. White but then not really sticking to it.
- JJJ was also constantly switching around to low hanging fruit, people who have few posts which can be related to anything (such as this thread having 85 pages now)
- nutella remains her opportunistic self and follows whatever vote seems fashionable.
My theory on DDL and who now?

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Night 2]
Dear Quin,
I commented on lapluie already, that MK had a substantially lower rate of posts than this one, and that she had civilian BTSC in MK, which, in my experience, encourages activity.
I understand that lazy cases can be right. When I say lazy, I mean that there was little thought put into the accusation. For example, this game will eclipse Mortal Kombat's post count by Day 3. It shouldn't take much to consider that keeping up with 424 posts per phase is easier than keeping up with 1,160 posts per phase.
So when I say 3J is being "lazy," I mean it looks like he's putting a lot of effort into suspecting people, but so many of his points can be dismissed with easy counterarguments. And he's gunning for what I consider to be lynches hardly anybody is going to argue against. I find that problematic.

Objectively foolish? On what grounds?JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:54 pmThe problem with your mindset is here.
I understand it; I don't fault you for it; it's okay.
I didn't see a single juicy case on Days 1 or 2. The juiciest case I felt existed was my own case on Dr. White, until it was no longer juicy. I maintain that Day 2 was barely better than an extension of Day 2. No lynches are garbage unless they provide conclusive alignment intelligence on the player who didn't die. Y'all can exchange your juicy cases as much as you like, but I think they've been crap. I am now being subject to one of them.
Civilians are bad at this.
This game has been, until recently as I have faded to the background and dunya was replaced, a hurricane. Mafia members can't keep up as easily with a hurricane as civilians. So lynch a slacker. I say it every game these days when they move anywhere near this quickly. Nobody listens to me. I've nearly always been right. Mortal Kombat was an arguable exception, though the civilians were blind in the end of that one to some obvious tells anyway. Because they're bad at this.
Easy targets? You're damned right. That means nothing about alignment. Lynching me instead is objectively foolish under these conditions when such a long game is ahead of us for various other possibilities to show themselves (I manage to clear myself as I often seem to, the mafia kill me for you, or a mafia flip qualifies reads on me beyond terrible meta reads which have no bearing on reality). If I had more fire, I might argue it harder. I don't.
Later in the phase I'll give more useful reads. I'm letting this day phase develop mostly without me.
Why are you objectively preferable for getting the civilians the win than anybody else? What does the long game have to do with it?
Why can't I judge you on the basis of what you have done?
Your cases are weak.
Your cases are against easy-to-lynch people.
Your case against me was half-hearted and looked like a pointless exercise.
Your criticism of my exercise was not genuine (you said it had more than one potential uses, and yet you, on your own, never talked about those- instead you criticized mine).
Also, I am not interested in a single emotional plea you have made. Not one.

I don't blame anyone for making the point. Earlier I said that lapluie is using her struggle to get involved in the game as a crutch. Someone please explain to me what "even/odd/even night" and "odd/even/odd night" means.Scout - Each even/odd/even night, you may track a player.
Harasser - Each odd/even/odd night, you may misdirect another player to a random player other than you, your target and your target's target. If this is impossible due to only those 3 players remaining in the game, you will misdirect your target onto himself.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 3]
I was amusing myself on the timing of your post. I'm self-centered.
A civilian JJJ does not have to burn himself out. He would still not lie down and take this.
He is bad. He is going mum. He is a big voice until someone challenges him. People give JJJ free reign over the civscape (ooh, did I just make a word?), but they never challenge him until it is too late.
I don't have a problem with him feeling burnout. I'm feeling burnout myself, and I'm a civilian. This isn't about that.
JJJ's cases have been shit. His treatment of my exercise has been shit. He is not a civilian. Lynch him.

That's what I do when I'm bad.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 10:10 pmI don't know. There could be. I have no reason to assume that. I don't have time for maybemongering.
WEEEE TIES ARE FUN.![]()
I am trying to use gwilly's role to its fullest potential. If y'all can't even recognize that opportunity then please bloody lynch me. Get me out of this headache.
It isn't the only role.
And you are acting like it is.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 3]
You are encouraging this lynch to hinge on the nature of a single role. You are even throwing an all-caps battle cry KEEP THE TIE out there.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 10:17 pmIf the mafia team has some extra vote and they want to waste it on Day 3, then they be my guest.
If you are a civilian, you would have acknowledged that other forces are likely at work, and that a civilian could be lynched, nobody is cleared, and even worse, people may make untrue assumptions. You would not have conceded so easily that a tie is in the civilians' best interest.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 3]
1. I am not making an incorrect perception of what you would do under whatever conditions. I am calling your cases weak and poorly thought out. I don't care about your post count or your burn out. What you have posted, in my own judgment, is phony to me. That doens't require circumstance or conditions- it's my judgment, and that's how this thing works. I am but one vote, however.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 10:30 pmNo. One thing civilian JJJ doesn't give two shits about is pointless conjecture. You are making two bad decisions at the same time:Epignosis wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 10:25 pm If you are a civilian, you would have acknowledged that other forces are likely at work, and that a civilian could be lynched, nobody is cleared, and even worse, people may make untrue assumptions. 1. Read JJJ with iron confidence given an incorrect perception of how he'd play under whatever conditions.
2. Refuse to acknowledge the validity of a strategy because of conditions which have no objective existence in this game. They are cans and coulds. It's also possible one of the mafia members is a fig newton. Who cares.
Defend your logic if you want. You'll know soon enough at least that I really believe what I am saying to you. Nobody can tell me I didn't try.
2. This is not pointless conjecture. There are votes that count. Votes that count twice. Votes that don't count if this or that. That isn't conjecture. Those things or variants of them exist. If they don't, a number of people are lying. That you think you will advance the civilian win condition by mindlessly setting up a tie because of one role makes me think you want a tie for evil reasons.
