Does anyone have any actual idea how to play this game? I don't even understand what really is happening... mechanics are not my jam.

Well the issue is we don't know what happens to people. Are they just brought up a level with multiple lives? Do they die? Etc. Me and Colin moving up here kinda lends credence to the brought up a level part imo which is strange and kind of leans towards this being a less of a kill based and just removing all the scum at the current bottom level before they reach there. Or just once it reaches the bottom, the remaining scum and town duke it out for who wins? My issue there is that all the people left behind don't matter there.

Is there anything important about the bottom level? There's too many pieces missing to fully put together a proper idea.
