Why do you think that? Also, was the original Raifiki role town?

From a mechanical standpoint Hyena's role would make more sense as a town role and be almost entirely protown. It would be possible to use such a role in a way that benefits mafia but in general it would benefit town a lot more.

a role mechanically benefitting town is a good motivation to make it mafia-aligned so that people townread it, just like you are wanting to do . there's your mafia benefit to the role

(im not saying hyena is necessarily scum for that role but i think townreading the mechanics of the role is a mistake even if he's town)

I don't think the hosts generally make pro-town roles mafia aligned for the sole purpose of messing with us. I think I was probably just wrong.

Also from a balance standpoint it would be really scumsided to have 2 scum teams and a hostile 3p.

No I'm just questioning how you were able to make that observation since we don't have a lot of experience playing together and we've only played together in very different types of games. I'd say I don't have as much of a sense of urgency this game as in a turbo or a mash since I have a lot of time before I have to decide, but I'm definitely interested in solving this game.

In Shadow Corridors (when Falcon was town friendly 3p) he was obvtown (well, obv not mafia) pretty early on and he was aggressive in his pushes. Him pushing MR and Nanook here kind of feels like an imitation of that aggressiveness but without the prodding and more thought out reasoning he had in Shadow Corridors.

I remembered being suspicious of him for sort of imitating aggressiveness so I chose to ISO dive him and found him more suspicious on ISO.

I also kind of feel like MR is scum because of Nut's read and the "suspected for the wrong reasons" feeling I got when he was under suspicion but I haven't done that ISO dive yet so I can't articulate that read quite as well.

Okay this interaction I found suspicious for MR. It reminds me of a wolf omgusing on a target that doesn't actually make sense. I find it hard to believe that MR genuinely wolfreads Nutella considering how clearly town she is today, I think he's using his annoyance at being treated unfairly to make a push that sounds more believable since he has real emotion behind it. I know I've done that as mafia even when my target didn't make sense and I know others have done that.

I saw you had some read that he and falcon were teammates but I didn't follow your logic. Falcon seemed to dig pretty deep into the push there and I'm more inclined to think he's town with a good read.

I don't usually make teammate reads but the way they went at each other for a bit then just both went their own ways feels like distancing.

These players will be among the first to die. The mafia will tend towards reading players who are hard scumreading players outside their team as town, and will tend to not mess with those players.

But I would expect wolves to keep a relatively low profile too in order to avoid an NK. I definitely forgot it was multiball a lot of the time (like with my MR push reasoning that he's faking his Nutella read, I'm not sure how valid that is if it's multiball) and it's easy to revert back to autopilot. I actually thought the opposite, that town would be sticking out and hard pushing wolves while the wolves would be more in the background trying to avoid an NK since they're more keenly aware it's multiball.

As far as faking reads being NAI, I disagree with that since town has no incentive to fake reads, but mafia still does because they have to fake reads on their partners and they might strategically tweak some of their reads to fit their agenda. I think if someone fakes a read that person is likely mafia, but faking reads is less common than in other mafia games.

I'm saying in logical terms: If someone's reads are fake then they're probably mafia, but it's not necessarily the case that if someone's mafia then their reads are fake.

This is one of the more well constructed arguments I've seen in the game so far, and yet MR only got support from one person and seems to have caught a wagon of his own after having pushed it. Doesn't make his voters look good to me.

The wagon formed before he pushed it, and I think that does look a bit better for him. MR pushing 112 for her TR pretty much rules out them being teammates imo and I feel like scum!MR would accept a townread from a friend who hasn't been widely suspected.

I'm feeling a bit less confident on Falcon wolf than I did then because nobody agrees with my read but I still feel like he's playing differently than the one time I've seen him in a wolfy way.

I mean, it was probably 10 % serious. Her post made little sense to me. She usually makes sense. Also: "I think if someone fakes a read that person is likely mafia, but faking reads is less common than in other mafia games." I'm saying in logical terms: If someone's reads are fake then they're probably mafia, but it's not necessarily the case that if someone's mafia then their reads are fake.

I decided to call Mac mafia for absolutely no reason. Pure "reaction testing" as we call it. Thunal was the only one to pick up on it, asking me why I felt that way. My response was deliberately goofy, meant again to elicit some sort of reaction. Except... Thunal didn't react at all. Thunal was still active in the thread at the time. It is possible she missed this post, but I made it provocative on purpose and got no response. That is not exactly cromulent in my book. I can read it as a player who recognizes a reaction test and retreats from it. Or she just didn't see it.
Honestly I thought that was just a reaction test for Mac or a joke.

I wasn't actually thinking about reaction tests when I wrote that, I was thinking of fake reads that aren't rescinded or revealed as fake.

Why didn't you scumread me on my tone earlier? I'm leaning towards you being town confbiasing but you said I didn't have a solving spark which motivated me to solve, and now you have another reason to scumread me that I think you would have noticed earlier.

As far as Falcon, I'm not as confident as when I first had an aha moment reading through his ISO because people who have experience with him disagree but I still feel like he's been more blending in and doesn't have the town energy he had in Shadow Corridors.

I kind of understood his point about why it came across as scummy though. Like he painted my reply to Michelle as one coming from a scum perspective and I can see how he got there.

If Radish is scum, is 112 town or scum? Because if they're w/w Radish just went against 112's townread which I feel partners wouldn't do, and if they're w/v Radish just made a CDC buddy a wagon and if 112 flips town there's a lot of blood and responsibility on Radish's hands that imo is unnecessary.

this seems like a nitpicky discredit? is it not reasonable that dya continued to take issue with your posting style

I agree with them that you seem sorta stiff

I have no idea why I seem stiff and I was a little surprised at that accusation. It felt like dya was already in the mindset of suspecting me and wanted to come up with new reasons to justify her feelings of suspicion when the first one didn't work.

Like I said if it's multiball it's possible scum radish genuinely thinks 112 is scum and he'd get credit, and maybe she is. I don't see it though.

That's actually a good point. I voted 112 literally to see how Radish reacted to her being top wagon and he's being almost complacent about it. Do you think town!Radish would try to get more votes on 112 here?
