I explained needlessly why I was pinged by Quin, if you still thing my ping was unwarranted then tell me why he's town.
speed is another case. I just feel he's acting more like Mountain Mafia speed than Pirates speed. He was anti-town in both. I haven't played a conventional Town game with speed yet, thus it's harder to read him. I've read his previous Town games which have been really brief and not provided me with much meta or clues on how Town speed behaves.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 3]
also to give speed some credit, he was playing with a townie mind-frame, which he later admitted he regretted doing (in Mountains). But he was still independent.
That's why I welcomed other cases on speed. I don't want to be tinfoiling.
To accuse me of "pushing bad trains" is misrepresentation apart from the back and forth I had with Quin (which I'm sure you're not unfamiliar with, considering you do it literally all the time).

Quin - see below. Look what speedchuck does immediately after the flip. Does this make him bad?
speedchuck wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 10:34 pm The Sig lynch was bad.
Dunya is bad for starting it.
1. Sig is always wishy-washy
2. Waffley behavior is a textbook EZ suspicion to put on mislynches, when it can really go both ways. Town can be genuinely uncertain as easily as mafia can be nervous
3. Sig couldn't defend easily, and this is a mostly brand-new suspicion. That's the reason I'd rather have gone with a D1 case. Now we're back to square one.
4. Sig's lynch gained momentum too easily. If half the scumteam wasn't on it, I will eat a Kansas CD.
Dunya replaced in, and her first action was to go through the thread, pick the easiest mislynch possible, and drive it home while Sig couldn't defend himself and no better cases could be made. Screw that.

Your current thoughts on Simon? Any reads you want to give on quieter people in general would be appreciated.
My only prior Simon experience was in vocaroo where he mostly voted for his sister a lot. I don't remember his votes being relevant enough after Tink's death to be useful for analysis. He lived til the end and ended up with having a civ read only by process of elimination since it would be harder than usual to miss sending in a night kill pm when you actually live with the host, and also because Wilgy got jailed and there wasn't a kill.

It should be noted though in Mountains and SF: the two active scummies asked to be replaced very early in the game and the replacements replaced those players fist accordingly. A mod won't actively try to replace a player on Day 0- Day 1 as they might show up. Pirates was a different case, but Sloonei randomized it, he said.

yea.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 4:45 pm dunya, can you describe the similarities you perceive between SFII Simon and MK Simon? I'm looking at each ISO now and it's not immediately apparent.
if you look a little down in SFII, you'll notice very sharp, to the point posts. No natural progressive ideas, nothing offered on his own.
The town game you just sent me, was a weird fucking game btw judging by his ISO alone, but there were some comments in there that were given on his own merit, like Scotty asking "why SVS" and Simon responded then added something different and more without even having to.
"Scotty wrote:
Also, what's up? Why SVS?
I think she has the coolest name to be second-in-command.
I picked JaggedJimmyJay and Boomslang to fight because I think Russ is a good guy."
Here, and in SFII, you had to direct the question to him specifically or he wouldn't answer or give any responses to game development.
He even bullied you itt because of your "noob username". That was super cool and super out of character for what I think Simon was like in Street Fighter. In Street Fighter, he complimented MP...he buddied speedchuck. I don't know. I mean he buddied with speed in vocaroo too, but I'm leaving vocaroo out of it and speed, cos he's so impressionable.
I feel bad now for revealing this on Day 3 and he has time to change his meta easily, but that's what I got when I compared ISOs.

You haven't played many games with me, but I am and always will be a strong advocate of NOT lynching complete no posters until absolutely necessary, such as in POE phases.

Consider:
1) I thought the case on you was far better than the case on Tony and nobody was voting for my higher suspects at EOD.
I mean sorry, but like, your comment on my post indicates a little more than just "sig is just a better option than the Tony case"Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 4:24 pm"You know, I like you. I don't think scum LC would be so lackluster and so obvious about it, especially if he hasn't been mafia in awhile and had a big civ game and then rolled civ again. So I don't think we should lynch him today.sig wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 1:15 pm Some other quick notes Nutella is looking good right now, LC I'd say leans good, Mac is posting as he always does as both a civ and mafia member so I can't really tell yet, 3J and Sloonie have alot of posts which is a pain, but minus Sloonie's Wilgy's comment he seems okay same with 3J. Though I don't quite see the case on Jack yet.But only a real thug can stab someone 'til they die

Also I'd say strange is like somewhere between suspicious and null, like I should look into it more since it pinged me, but I probably won't.sig wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 7:08 pmI don't have many reads to give honestly nobody looks that bad to me yet I've had some minor pings, but nothing more. He gave a bunch of town reads including a dubious pass for Long Con, and the only suspicion he didn't in some way retract was "speedchuck saying he'd vote dunya is strange" -- the weakest of sauce. He was vaguely critical of Kyle and Sloonei, but didn't stick to either.
I think if I hear that fuckin' word again I'mma scream

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 3]
Then we can agree to disagree on our scum hunting and mafia playing strategies.Marmot wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 5:48 pmI believe the opposite. I'd rather lynch the no-posters sooner than later. They may eventually join and post, but the likelihood is low. The people who are here posting will continue to talk, so let them talk.
This was a more prime than ever situation to lynch a low-poster. The talkers couldn't even talk properly while the no-posters exhibited the same behavior.
