Also, if I was so ready to bus Quin D1 and D4 why did it take me so long to vote him D5?
Don't give anybody credit for voting out Quin. He was a liability Day 1. No credit for anyone. Boo credit. Everyone remains a suspect.

At last, the day where Quin finally met his end. Day 5.

The push in the beginning is for ID, led by RDW, Epi, Speed, and myself. Then Nutella brings back the Quin wagon, wanting to give it an end once and for all. Marmot follows.

Quin restarts his case on Nutella. I follow, together with lapluie.

The Quin lynch then gains traction, represented by me, Sig, Kites, Speed, Gwilkers and Kyle, in this order. If there is any civ cred to be warranted at this point, the first ones deserve it more than the last ones, but don't put too much stock on it. Quin does a self-defense vote on ID. Epi does a Quin-defense vote on ID too. Bob and lapluie change their votes to Quin after the deadline.

This is the 3rd time out of 3 that I see Bob make an opportunistic vote on Quin after other people started lynching him.

I don't want to lynch ID that much after this, and I'm now suspicious that baddies may have tried to push a lynch on him to make it easier to night kill him later. Heck, the civs themselves would have done it. Then again, bussing is a thing, and bussing on ID at this point is not hard.

RDW still bad.

Also guys, analyse this post:
Epignosis wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2018 10:45 pm I have no reason not to vote Quin, but I'm going back to the Wizard of ID.

[VOTE: Iron_Dwarf] aubergine
"I have no reason not to vote for Quin but I'm gonna save Quin"

Epignosis, would you like to provide a linguistic analysis of this? Because I think it looks like a baddie trying to justify a bad-looking vote.
If I may criticize you, in a manner that you have similarly criticized me before, I would say that your analysis is treating this like there is one mafia. I get that you are (perhaps) looking for other mafia, but your analysis is weak to me because it assumes any vote and all votes that were not on Quin were to hide / save / whatever.

Quin has teammates. I believe Iron_Dwarf is one. His reaction to catching Quin was bogus. Hooray we caught a bad guy but fuck we lost a teammate and it isn't like his enthusiasm is translating into finding Quin's teammates.

The biggest mistake civilians make is assuming someone was being saved or that the lynch leads consisted of people of opposite alignments. Those are two huge mistakes rooted deeply in human psychology that I, as a gambler, take full advantage of.

I saved him from the lynch on Day 1? I saved anybody and everybody from the lynch on Day 1. I didn't care who was up for being lynched.

Regarding JJJ, I already admitted I am a donkey. If I am a bad donkey though, and I was concerned about his treatment of Quin, I could have killed JJJ instead of putting forth the effort of lynching him. Or, since I rarely kill JJJ, I would have engaged him and got him to vote somewhere else.

I don't care how I look. I'm cleared. If you don't agree, oh well.

I stopped the lynch to gain BTSC. That is one of the greatest advantages in Mafia, although I didn't know at the time that the people I would be teamed up with would not be confirmed. I pretended to care about how many votes I had at the time. I didn't care at all (though it is true that I didn't know if I would be around for the end of the Day). Stopping the Day 1 lynch was going to happen even if the entire Hand was going to be lynched and the game would be over and civilians would win.

idk. it's hard to say given that I have never played with him before, and he hasn't posted much (relatively) in the actual thread. He hasn't so much as peeked into btsc since he made his "teach me master" and "I am town" posts. I don't think he's even read my responses.

someone who's more familiar with him might have a better idea of how active he normally is in btsc. a civ mage kenway I would expect to at least come in and make sure we're not targeting the same players, but a mafia mage kenway might want to benefit his team by finding out my targets. I'm getting... neither of those.

Jack has told me a few times that our having a masonic relationship doesn't guarantee that we're both civ, but that's led to some confusion for me, regarding background powers, because if Kenway could potentially be mafia but also have btsc with me wouldn't that make his civ background power (in the scenario where he's mafia) also just a real power? unless in that scenario the btsc were only supplied by my huge wizardly muscles and he would just be the recipient of it. except I was told we could just start up our btsc as soon as day 3 began, which implied that Kenway already knew about our oncoming btsc, so it must have also been part of his role background??? right?? or else i'd just seem like some random dude messaging him

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Night 4]

Can we please lynch rundontwalk now?

The qualifications for being mafia are "He doesn't look good." :disappoint:

I don't have an opinion about either Wilgy or Quin. I will vote wherever sprityo votes.

I had a suspect, and he got lynched, and I am a donkey.

Had I been correct, I might have been more motivated, but I'm not, and it doesn't help that I now basically have three jobs.

To be fair, I suspect rundontwalk more than I suspect you, and Iron Dwarf has crept past you also with that loaded question of his: What was the point in asking me why I was "throwing away" my vote on a guy who 'looks" like a civilian?

What bothers me is that he basically threw the whole case away during Day 3 while he was using his energy to bring Jay down, now he's come back to me. It feels opportunistic.
I don't see how being the only vote against you and being the only voice against you is being opportunistic. It's decidedly not opportunistic.

I didn't say that there was.

I said DDL had no moral victory.

Dragon D. Luffy wrote: Fri Feb 23, 2018 4:42 pm My problem is that with Jay and Mac dead, the ratio of useful town players/useless load is at an all time low. This is how mafias win. Never mind that we also lost Dunya and got a less talkative player instead (no offense speed, but you don't lead the town the same way).

It was fun to tinfoil about Jay being bad, but now I wanna be more practical.
Yeah, no.

You don't get to have the moral victory here.

9/10 times I say I'll ISO someone I procrastinate it until the end of time

this.

what did you mean by moral victory?
Oh.

All I mean is that DDL can't call civilians useless if he's going to be useless himself.
