Generally, as long as they do not do anything related to role-hinting or info-dumping, it's okay to talk about things such as why you voted for a person or how you felt about them in a previous role. Now if, for example, you had a night power that you used on someone and it led you to believe something about their role, I would probably not discuss that. Because then you're getting into a grey area. Make sense?Dana wrote:Is Snow Dog 2.0 allowed to talk as or give explanations for Snow Dog 1.0? I'm kind of actually really confused about the people replacing that were already previously in the game. Of course they get new roles and such, but they're still the same person with the same play style and all of that. What are the rules for this? As in, what are they allowed to do or say or talk about?Snow Dog wrote:Good one.Hedgeowl wrote:Welcome back Snowy! What are your thoughts on the last lynch?
I think I was surprised. But more thoughts later on how it went down and the reasons for my voting pattern.

I don't feel like making Rob vote the same vote for a third time, so I'll just kindly ask everyone to make sure that nobody votes for Rey. I accidentally left him on the poll even though he's no longer in the game. If you vote for him, your vote will be held as missing the vote in this lynch.

Night 3: A Madman with a Box
The civvies had made a mistake once again, and lynched yet another one of their own, thus leading to terrible consequences and obstacles to follow for the following day's lynch. But they would have to make it through the night in order to see what the following day's events would yield.
The Daleks were more determined than ever before to ensure they successfully exterminated someone. By force if necessary. The Emperor Dalek warned them, "There can be no mistakes this time. Everything must go according to plan." Someone should quickly pick a letter between the options of k, j, g, or w if they know what is good for them. So with a much better plan in mind, they set out to stalk their prey. The Master was also hard at work. This time not because of the drumming, but because he was bored and decided he just felt like murdering someone who wasn't worthy of being ruled. Most of them were insects underneath his power and intellect anyway. So one more squashed bug didn't really mean anything to him.
Fingersplints was sitting in her room, wondering where keys had run off too and thinking of whatever things wives think about their husbands (Hey, I'm not married. Don't judge. :P) She was lost in wonderful daydreams. Wonderful enough daydreams that she never heard the Daleks break down her door, barge in her room, and vaporize her before it was too late for poor Splints.
Rico....sorry, Enrique, was sitting there trying to decode another secret message. "So if I put a K there, and add in an E....no, no, NO! That's not right at ALL!!! Dammit, I need to start over AGAIN...", he said exasperatedly. Little did he know that The Master was crawling through an air duct waiting to surprise him. Unfortunately for The Master, little did he also realize that Enrique had added in extra protections by booby-trapping his room. The Master turned a corner in the rather enormous vent system inside the TARDIS and came face to face with....a .30 caliber machine gun! It immediately detected his presence and began to fire. But The Master was more than quick enough to dodge the initial spray of bullets and make it back to safety in time. He realized he would have to consider a more careful, delicate plan the next time he decided to murder someone. So he went back to his room and quietly spent the rest of the night plotting. And trying to ignore the drumming in his head that was starting to get louder again...
Fingersplints has been killed by The Daleks.
Enrique has survived a nightkill from The Master.
It is now Day 4. You have 48 hours to lynch someone. Remember, all civvies start today with a +1 vote.
Also, Snow Dog is now replacing in for Bullzeye. Unfortunately, Bullz was too busy to be able to continue, so wave good-by to Bullz, and welcome Snow Dog back!

Can a mafia team target a member of their own team with a kill, and have it fail on purpose?
Yes.
As a side tangent, I've done it before when I was on an indy team. We targeted DP and blocked our kill on the same night, after he had survived a NK from both baddie teams as well. He got massive civvie cred for it and we ended up winning the game, in large part because of it. Well, that and recruiting Roxy, who was about as close to a confirmed civvie as anyone in that game was. :P

Night 2: A Change of Fate?
In a rush of flurry and fury, poor K-9 had been put to the gallows. Everyone took this lose quite hard, but little did they know that events that coming night would offer them a reprieve. For now at least.
As they all drifted off into an uneasy sleep, the Cybermen were stirring. They were trying to decide who would be the most worthy addition to "upgrade". After much debating, they decided that MP was a very worthy candidate. Almost the perfect candidate, in fact. They slowly, but methodically, began searching for him high and low. At last, they found his compartment. They managed to open the door without causing too much of a disturbance, and found....nobody inside. MP was gone. Cursing themselves, they decided that, perhaps, there was somebody else more worthy of "upgrading". So they retreated to hatch further plans.
The Cybermen weren't alone in being awake and having murderous thoughts. Strax was also awake. He felt that even though Madame Vastra forbade it, it was time for him to once again take up arms. "The rest of my friends are counting on me to help them!" he thought, "By avenging our fallen comrades and annihilating the vermin scum that hunt them! I shall begin at once!" He set out looking for someone, anyone, who looked guilty enough to atomize. The first guilty individual he came along was Elo, who was unaware of his presence. Strax proceeded to aim his weapon at her and pull the trigger. But the weapon jammed. He clicked several more times cursing under his breath, but no luck. "Curses! I will have to find a more efficient way to murder the worthless vermin...I mean avenge for justice! For the glory of the Sontaran race!" He struck off, determined to do such a thing.
The travelers arrived on Karn, immediately noticing how wet and rainy it was. As they disembarked from the Tardis, they were approached by several members of The Sisterhood of Karn. Their leader, Cassandra, spoke to the group, "We know why you have come. You come seeking the Elixer of Life. But we will not help you, for there is evil that walks amongst you. Quell some of this evil, and you will be rewarded. Kill an innocent, and suffer severe consequences from us. But it is up to you to decide...
No one has died.
You have 48 hours to lynch an evildoer. But be careful. Lynching a civilian here could prove to have disastrous consequences...

This isn't too bad of a catch-up honestly! Bea did a lot of the dirty work with all those PMs, so I can blame her for almost half of them. :P
Anyway, I'm finishing my reading catch-up, but I took the time to update the roles on Page 1.

The poll ends at 11:30PM EST tomorrow. If you do not vote before the poll itself ends, please bold your vote in the thread and color it red as well.
Also, if you guys happen to solve any of the secrets in full for any role, I will post it in full on the first page.

Roxy was kind and honest enough to point out another error I made, because she is awesome. I forgot to include her on the lynch poll by mistake. I have gone back and added her in. Enrique and metalmarsh, I made some notes about your votes from before (Enrique had voted for Epig, and metalmarsh had self-voted. If you do not re-vote or change your votes by the time the lynch poll ends, I will leave your votes as they are and count them as they stand.

To the info part, the only responses I'm okay with are 'yes/no' responses. As for any potential results, I would have to say no on that one.MovingPictures07 wrote:Also, since I didn't see it asked:

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2
To be honest, I actually DID mean to write it into the night post that all of you were travelling to the planet that one the night poll. That was a mistake on my part, and I will be sure to correct it in the future.Metalmarsh89 wrote:I didn't mention it, but the fact that nothing has happened makes this all the more suspish. We went to the planet he wanted, seemingly, (he even says so here) but nothing is happening, nor have the hosts made any indication that we have visited a planet. It did seem that he had info, but it looks like a bluff to me. Either it was a lie (intentional or not) or this is something that might benefit him, but no one else, and not in a good way.Bullzeye wrote:I feel like he probably (read: blatantly) had info on the night poll. I don't think if he was bad he'd be so pushy about it though, which leads me to believe he's civ. What I do take issue with though is the 'avoidance of responsibility' line. This is only a game, people here don't owe each other anything.
Linki: Not that I know of, but it does look like there may have been info flying around last night.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2
You are now free to post. All PMs should have been sent. If you did not receive a PM, please let bea and myself know.
The contest entries will be submitted to a third party individual to judge them. Winners will be notified at the end of Day 2 as to what their prize is.
ALSO, you have until 11:30 EST on the 29th of September to vote for someone. I'm using it as a way to get the polls to a time that works much better for my schedule. Please try to vote by the time the poll ends if possible. But if that does not happen, then please bold your vote in the thread and color it red, and bea and I will count it.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Night 1
birdwithteeth11 wrote:Night 1: Everybody Lives? Fantastic! No, Wait. Everybody Dies.
Amongst the deaths of a hosts, as well as River, there was much chaos and confusion amongst everyone involved. Many fingers were pointed and accusations made, but all agreed they were much too tired and would decide on further action in the morning. Some, however, would not come to see that next morning unfortunately.
One of the Daleks, restless at not having murdered any sentient non-Dalek beings for well over 24 hours, was thirsty for some blood. He snuck out of his waiting chamber late at night and was patrolling down a corridor, looking for something, anything to blast. The first few doors he tried were locked. The first door he managed to open, however, happened to have Turnip Head inside. Turnip Head's last unfortunate moment involved him being awoken by someone bashing down his door and crying out, "EX-TER-MIN-AAAAAAATE!"
The Dalek wasn't the only being still awake. The Master was lying in his bed, completely unable to sleep. A faint drumming noise he had been able to block out earlier had now increased in volume inside his head, and he couldn't ignore it anymore. As he descended into madness, he knew that only one thing would help calm him down. He too left his room and began wandering random corridors. In the thread today, dedicate one post to your hosts. Say something really nice about each of them! The first person he stumbled upon was Mister Rearranger, returning from a bathroom break. MR never noticed it as someone creeped up slowly behind him with a knife, as was literally torn to pieces from how fiercely his adversary hacked and slashed and stabbed. After all that was left was a bloody pile of goo, The Master simply stood there, with a great big, evil smile on his face. All he was concerned about was the fact that the drumming sound was gone.
The Doctor was awoke suddenly, and noticed his hands were glowing. He suddenly had an idea. A great idea in fact. But, would it work? Would he know who to trust? Of course he would, he thought to himself. I'm a bloody genius after all! Knowing his plans for the following day, he drifted off back to sleep, satisfied that he had a rather cunning plan to catch those dasterdly Daleks and Cybermen. And possibly find The Master.
Turnip Head has been killed by the Daleks
Mister Rearranger has been killed by The Master.
It is now Day 2. You have approximately 50 1/2 hours to decide who to lynch.
