Nerolunar wrote:Illyria who are you voting for?
Not sure, I would like to wait for Lorab to defend before I make a call. One of the reasons I am considering her is because she has been quiet. She explained her playstyle is different now and no one who has known her as long as I have disagreed. Now there is a bit of a bandwagon, with Epis post-- which worries me that my gut has been wrong about her.

One of my worries is that I am missing something obvious. Such as the people who are waiting in the wings in my opinion Sorcha, you Nero, and MM are the three that come to mind.

I am going to wait to vote as I tend to do.

Linki: Hmm. I didn't understand the DF lynch train on Day one, and wasn't convinced on Day Two. EpI makes a fair point about two people dying that suspected him but it is not enough to make me put a vote there yet.

Llama. I can go either way on him. I should get home w abt 45 minutes before I have to head to the Bobbins' house.so I want to look at Llama in ISO as it is now called.

Re: Downton Abbey Mafia (Day 3)

Okay, I am here. Sorry I wasn't yesterday, I got dropped by a migraine and subsequent migraine hangover. The good news is I can check in during the day while I'm at work (gotta love warehouse gigs! ). Bad news is it will be sporadic and on my phone which makes multi quoting a nightmare.

So here are my thoughts, right now I have Dom and Matt as confused civs. Lorab, I get that you’ve been away, I do but your defenses thus far are making my gut feel squingy. I am not sold on the Daisy train yet.

LC, I just can't get a read.... and tbh I always think he is Evil...

MM and Netosomethingicantremember are new to me so I can't tell if they are always kind of quiet or if this is their jam in Mafia.

I am undecided about Llama and Polo.

That's all I can remember that I saw in the thread.

I was swooning over the test that EpI had to take not his linguistic analysis, which was lovely, but as an English lit major I would have LOVED taking that test. So sexy.

Llama is suggesting I am bad and sticking my neck out in order to protect someone I know is civ just in order to keep people talking about him. Which would be about the stupidest thing I could do as a baddie in this game. Numbers are not in their favor, they are not going to stick their necks out in such a manner.
You know, I had not been thinking about it like this. Which shifts my lists just a tad.

While I am not going to lynch someone who has been quiet just for that reason. I want to see if I can find people who have been "participating". What I mean is someone who has been posting with little substance or someone who has been posting with the crowd over and over. Does that make sense?

Step it up, gentleman.

I'm going to vote Illy for now in case we want to do a surprise attack on her, but I may change it in about 20 minutes depending on what happens with bea/bubbles and DF.
Well the bad news is you have also just voted for a civilian, and the fact that you are calling to take me out makes you not only wrong, but also contributing to the Mafia goals. What happened to Polo being in the lead? you flipped back to me with no explanation? When I called you out for your illogical stance on me, you came back with "you didn't understand me" not any kind of clarification.

With all of this I am still not voting for you, as right now I think you are simply confused and trying to survive not evil. This can change however.

So I went back and looked at the player list to remind myself who all is playing and I realized I am worried about LoRab. She has been pretty quiet, which is for me, disconcerting. I am putting a vote on her because I want her to know that I am watching. Closely. :eye:

I am not sure on DF, that one does not make a ton of sense to me. Bubble-- now Bea-- is for this post vvvvvv Sorcha started the bandwagon because of it, as well as Bubbles is a low poster. Others have found her replacement when votes started coming in as suspicious.

I don't. Not really. I do suspect you, tho, and earlier in the game I believe you were replying to Epi but you accidentally said "Llama" instead, I think, and since you have no experience with Llama, I thought it weird that you would accidentally use his name.

Also, before doing my big reread today, I read through the last page or so of the thread, and Llama seemed to be defending me, and I always question people who defend me in Mafia. I'm weird.

Linki - Uhmm...I didn't mention Black Rock, LC? Haha. Even if you did vote DF, do you think it's a good idea to let BWT slide in future games because he's been lynched early in the last few?
So.. you suspect me because in one of my posts I called someone the wrong name?? Or got confused because it was a massive multi quote post? Because no one has ever done that in the history of a Mafia game, not even in this one Why is it suspicious that I was replying to Epi? You're right. I forgot to answer your point. Perhaps BR unintentionally did this, but either way, she should know. If she is bad, then we should call her out on it and lynch her. If she isn't bad and does not want me lynched, then we shoud let her know that her words might be pushing others to do something different.

Oh my. I certainly wasn't even thinking of this game when I said "sneakier". Thank you Epig, for understanding me. I didn't feel like that should be taken as an opinion I had regarding this game. I don't mean to be rude, but I barely understand what you are saying here. Can you translate this into non-game terms because I think you are using terms I am not familiar with.
I thought that was just me! I feel like I need a dictionary, ahh I see that this is other site lingo. Got it.

Okay, Dom here is my first question. Has your game play changed significantly do you think?

Also, can someone please remind me how we multi quote here? I will go hunting in just a mo but figured maybe I could get a faster answer in thread.
You can't really multi quote. I just go back and forth between Windows and cut and paste.

Dom'splay is basically the sameness more mature. He is less hyper puppy than he used to be.[/quote]

I am not sorry about that either. Love you kid, but you wore me out. :p

From the last time you saw it? I wouldn't say significantly.
Since the last time we played together a lot? I'd say so. But feel free to ask other people from LP/TP too!
I can help with my opinion. For the most part yes. He's much more sneakier. Sometimes I think he falls back into habits but no one believes me when he does.
Huh. Okay good to know, thanks BR.

Okay, thanks. I will. :)

Believe me, I am WELL AWARE of Spring Awakening. I have yet to see it, but if it is anything like Big River which was the same type of show (casting actual deaf people, ASL worked into the choreo, etc) I am sure it was mind blowing.

Llama, yes. I basically sit around and interpret that they are misogynistic bullies who won't pay the women the same amount even though they brought in more money. Then I flay them while they are alive and all "no, stop please leave my skin on it hurts!" like the babies that they are. It is a full days work and OBVIOUSLY takes some time and effort. You can't rush a flaying, it takes craftmanship and patience. :noble:

Illy, the Chaos Wizard was in the sequel, but didn't make any waves due to being piloted by quasi-inactives.
I am in the middle of getting caught up, so I just wanted to respond to this real quick and ask one question.

THAT WAS MY BEST DEATH OF ALL TIME. I am sad I missed them as well, I have always loved playing in your games. It is so good to see your name pop up. Geez y'all are making my black and scarred heart feel all funny.

QUIT IT.

:D

There is one other thing that I forgot to do last night. For those who do know me, a gentle reminder-- for those that do not, an explanation--I have a job in which I do not use the computer-- at all. So that means I may not post until I get home from work, or if I am lucky enough to get a chance to play on my phone when I am at a gig.

Yes, Vanilly, you were. I say that with love. And you weren't the only of our teammates who slipped. We were a horribly playing team of good players.

My own worst baddie game was LOST on LP--I attempted to role claim a civie role that, it turned out in the end, was actually part of a baddie secret team. And that may have been the game in which I accidentally posted a message to my team in the shoe thread (this was pre-chat-room use days). Ah, memories.
We were a HOT MESS that game.

Also, HAHAHAHAHA I totally forgot that you did that!!! :haha: How are you??

I just went back and read the rules... and I realized why people were doing the memory thing.

So I guess here is one of mine....

A cherished childhood memory for me is of me running around the house and grounds of our family home, Ridgeway, (which we had to sell this past year and it it still hurts) BUT the way the air smelled, and how the earth dipped under your feet as you ran with the cicadas calling, playing on the family gravestones, sitting on the screened in porch eating dinner watching it get dimmer, then going back out to catch fireflies until you were called in for bed.

Good times.

ETA (is that still a thing. geez I feel old. )

SVS thank you and DOOOOMMMMMMMM!! OMG, how are you cutie?

I am all for baddie teams fearing me. :srsnod:

I am sure other people can tell you better than I can my playstyle (if they remember).
Well, how would you evaulate your town and scum plays?
I am sorry, I don't understand this question. Do you mean historically? I am a good civvie, not so much good at being a baddie, and a decent host. That help?
somwhat.

let me try ti this way:

if your a baddie what is your general plan and play (ie what you do for nk, how you fake your reads, whats you do to players as in budding or distancing ect)

if your a civ, whats you gernal play (ie how you scum hunt, are you obvious civi, times right vs wrong, ect)
I tend to be a pretty obvious civvie, my hunting is based on me knowing the players well, so this game will be tough for me with so many new people and personalities to learn and disseminate. I look for evidence, once there is some, to build cases when I need to do so, and tone is a major factor for my instincts.

the best game I ever played as a baddie that I remember was I think... LOTR on The Piano? I stayed alive for a good while, "leading from the back" as BR put it I think. I thought that was just the best compliment. The worst was actually also on The Piano the first game ever played there the LOST game. Great Muppety Odin I was terrible.
