Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 7
Ahem, because Daisy is a very good friend of mine in RL, I would like to please direct your attention to this:
Speaking of, I thought the vote ended today; I got my day/night timeline all confused with the weird short night. That being said, I am going to take a break from the thread since it has been a bit tense as of late.
AP, how is your computer situation? I want to come after you next, but feel like you should be able to defend yourself.
And this:Captain Bunny Killer wrote:On that note, I feel that I should give some rl context, so that it doesn't get her into trouble. I knew what was going on with Daisy, because we live together. I saw that she was about to be replaced. She jumped back in, because I warned her about it. I don't have any info on her alignment. Just clearing up a potential unfair misunderstanding.
This seems to have been overlooked in the recent flurry activity.Spacedaisy wrote:So.... I owe you all an apology and explanation.
My co manager fell and hurt herself on the job. Which means I am basically running the store by myself. I just got a co manager trainee two days ago, and my shift leader trainee is moved up to a fll fledged shift leader. But they are both still so new and unsure of themselves it still leaves me with a lot of work. I am on Day 8 of a nine day run right now. And quite honestly, I am just completely run down physically and mentally. That is why I have been AWOL. I really don't want replaced though. So if you will give me a chance I would like to continue.

Boogs has not answered my questions. He posted a snarky post claiming that I didn't read the thread and that he did in fact answer my questions (which, no he didn't). Then he made several posts indicating that he did not himself read the thread very closely.
I think he's bad. Lunch is over in four minutes. I'm voting now while I can.

However we did get this sign of life on day 6:Boogs wrote:I did notice SnowDog was quiet, but I wasn't sure what was going on with it. I did not post my thoughts on it, but it did make me partially influence the decision I did not cast my vote on him to start with. My vote for Vompattii was to save myself when I noticed the poll was ending and I was going to be busy with friends and not sure if I could check.
I understand voting to save your own skin.
But I won't deny the fact I did trust llama's judgment on Vompattii even if Vompattii turned up civ because I trust llama in this game dispite that the last 2 lynches haven't turned up as everyone has wanted. I keep saying, we need to try for low posters and then 3 of them swoop in conveniently to try to get me near the end of the lynch... And that means you SpaceDaisy, Leo, and A person.
Umm, no. This is simply not true. If you look at my contribution compared to AP, we are NOT in the same category (me: 68, AP: 26). I have at leas I vote right after I get off work, but have been posting during my lunch break for the last few lynch posts (excluding today, it was after my Sunday afternoon nap). This is simply not true and a huge overstatement. Daisy also clearly explained her absence, if you have been reading the thread I'm sure you saw.
A Person wrote:Hi everyone, currently my computer is broken, so I'll not be able to check into the thread very consistently. If I am gone too long feel free to replace me if you have to, I don't know how long it will take to get a working computer

But I didn't try to convince others to vote for him. They did that on their own. And Vompatti did nothing to try to stop us from lynching him. It's as much his fault he got lynched as anyone's, since he was not contributing to the civ cause. I'd be surprised if he was even sending in his protection PMs. I don't really feel sorry for him. What happened is the inevitable result of making no effort all game.Captain Bunny Killer wrote:Shifting blame now?thellama73 wrote:That was a bad role to lose. I have been reading, I asked for specifics if you had them, not about just generally non-posters.Boogs wrote:To Leomatti- Here's one example where I answered your question. I also answered again today with Llama, have you not been reading any of my posts or do you just like pointing fingers at me?Boogs wrote:{/quote]
The reason I brought up Lizzy specifically was I was giving an example of someone who caught my eye because there's a lot of people barely taking and I think instead of going after the obvious choices, we need to look to the other direction. She's been quiet along with several others that go with the flow.
thellama73 wrote:And I am not a low-poster comparatively, a little quiet, yes, but that's just me and how I do. I think you're taking gentle prodding from me a little too harshly. Adding Leo and A person to that list of low posters i think are bad
Unless A Person offers some explanation for his habit of last minute votes without posting, he is rocketing up to the top of my vote list for tomorrow.

I'm kind of feeling Vompattii or Snow but I think some quiet people as stated like Lizzy and we seemed to have squashed all discussion that Daisy could have been bad and she hasn't been very talky lately. There's a start for me from those 4 to cast. I think the less obvious choices are where I'm going to find a Goblin.I said that earlier and therefore obviously agree. But I don't know why this automatically excludes Epi and llama. What is your logic in this reasoning? If I may ask for clarification. And what does Lizzy's input about Daisy have to do with us looking at her. That's like the point of the game, and people have been doing that all over the place. Why do you bring up Lizzy? Do you have any more specifics you could bring out? K thanks.

I'm not in favor of the low-poster voting, I'll just let it be known. Yes, baddies can hide and lynch people, but it's summer and people have been away and I feel like we're more likely to kill someone innocent.

I thought about this possibility too. I don't know Epi or his playstyle, but it did seem suspicious, didn't it.fingersplints wrote:I've been going back and forth in my head on this. Either, smaug is setting up Epi.Hedgeowl wrote:I am at a bit of loss where to look right now because while I thought Epi worth a look, Smaug killing Rey just feels like an easy set-up of him, since Rey was going on about Epi being bad. He's my top suspect for now though.
Or Epi is Smaug and thought we'd think that someone was trying to set him up by killing his most vocal adversary. I don't know Epi well but he seems to me the kind of ballsy player who do this sort of thing.
I think I might vote for Boogs due to my relative trust of CBK and her arguments and wariness of llama as of late. Maybe Boogs sees something I don't, but I can't commit to trusting the llama.Boogs wrote:I've got to decide now, and I trust Llama's judgement in this game and his play and he's leaning at Vompattii. I know BWT voted me and Capt bunny (big surprise) will vote me like he's said, so I'm going to have to Vompattii vote in order to prevent my possible lynch while I'm going to be busy before the poll ends at this point. I'm still watching my other names very closely and can hope one of them gets lynched if Vompattii does not.

The game will then continue to roll on. It's possible there will be delays of a few hours on host posts at times while I am in Norway, and I may go so far as to change poll end times, but I will try to avoid changing things around too much.

Oh, and I also hope that you are back to feeling healthy and like doing things! That's never fun.

Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Night 4
@DP: OK, fair enough for now. But I'll be watching you!

There is no guarantee that we'll run from the spiders and get away. Nor is there a guarantee that if we fight we will kill them/fend them off and get away unscathed. Why not fight?

I am a little worried about you to be honest. You have been verrrry quiet in this game so far. Why so quiet?DisgruntledPorcupine wrote:I'm alive. Don't worry.

Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 4
I am not yet dead. No need to call the doctor 'cause I'm not yet dead.
I was out of town, sorry for the lack of posting, but it was as promised.
Going with a former person on my watch list, which is a developed trust of llama. I respect the llama as much as the next person, but seems to have people either accepting his council or teammates possibly agreeing but pretending to waffle and then being "convinced". I'm sorry that I'm so behind, I'm sorry if I don't make sense, I'm late for and appointment and have to leave 6 minutes ago! Be back later!

Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Night 3
Checking in. Made it to Chicago last night but was not able to get to the interwebs to vote or read anything.
I didn't forget food and water, but I wasn't able to vote in the poll. Does that mean I automatically refused the hospitality? That's what I would have voted for.
The civvies are kicking butt, THIRD LYNCH IN A ROW getting a baddie! Well done all of you who voted Eloh. And nice job, Epi, for sniffing that one out. I tip my hat to you.
OK! Off to play some more. I'll try to read asap, probably no sooner than Sunday night.
