I totally agree - I think each day has been different, personally.

And I know that just looking at the results like that doesn't really tell us much. But I'm curious if we saw the results in their entirety (including the complete layout of the entire lynch poll for that day and how many votes each person in the poll got) if we might not be able to spot something. Maybe we won't be able to spot anything helpful, but do you have any other suggestions? (Besides just randomizing?) Because I'd love to try to head off in a direction here, I just don't see many.

That's AWESOME FH! I don't know if it will help, but what if some days they slide down 2 positions? Or up 3 positions? Or who knows what else? I mean maybe it will at least be a starting place to work from. Maybe not, but it's better than randomizing (I think LOL).

I'm happy to help if I can, because I do think it will be (or at least has the potential to be) a somewhat tedious job.

I don't know if anyone has screenshots of every lynch poll (because I know I sure don't) or even just perfectly accurate records of how everyone was listed in the poll, and how everyone voted. But here was an idea that I had - we don't know if votes shift down 1 person everyday, or anything, actually.

But if someone has screencaps of every poll, or an accurate representation of the poll in their game notes I was thinking we could go through them and compare them to the lynch results for that day. Maybe we could decipher if the votes always shift down 1, or if there is some kind of pattern to the lynch polls. If we could possibly figure that out we might have a shot of cracking the lynch poll wonkiness on tomorrow's poll.

If anyone has screencaps (or even perfectly accurate notes) you could post them, and then I'd be willing to help (along with y'all, I'm sure) examine them and see if we can figure something out.

It's a long shot I know, but I know some of you are super organized mafia players, so I'm putting the idea out there just in case.

I wonder if BOTH mafia teams know about the lynch poll deals each day? It seems pretty clear Horde knows about it, but I wonder if SM has known about it too? If so, that could have possibly affected their hexes each day - like they really wanted a vote to go to a different player, so they chose the corresponding player so that with the vote shift the vote would go where they wanted.

I dunno, just a thought that popped into my head thinking about today, and who the hexed votes are actually going to. (Assuming there are hexed votes going on today, of course. But I think it's likely.)

FWIW I support BF's lynch idea, and I think we need to really organize ourselves to get it done. I also think this means that everyday some new stupid shit is being done to the lynch poll, so after today there is honestly NO WAY we will know who we can kill - which sucks. It makes no sense, and has given so much power to the mafia we are basically sitting ducks and can't do anything or lynch anyone. Ridiculous. Seriously. It really really makes me want to stop playing, but I'm going to try not to give up BF. (Even though there's no way we can possibly know what will happen to the lynch poll tomorrow, or the next day or the next.)


I also think I know why Spaghetti is fighting against BF's idea so much. S/He doesn't want to be exposed, as I believe their team is almost 100% exposed. But now, it sounds like they've made some sort of truce with Skeletor. Personally, I also support FH's theory (I think it was her) that we're looking at a MoPi/Spaghetti/Stormcrow trio + 1 more Horde and now + 1 more Snake Mountain. Not sure who those 2 people are, but I definitely think we'll find Horde members in the other 3.

That being said, I'll be sticking to my guns with my vote today, because I'm trusting Timmer less and less as the game goes on. Naughty Timmer is naughty.

That's what is frustrating. Honestly, that's too much lynch manipulation - even if the deaths WERE mafiosos. When the lynch votes have virtually no effect on the lynch outcome, that's going to be frustrating. And that's what you're seeing here.

Oh yeah, NO reason to feel frustrated in this game. No reason at all.


On a side note, I'll be out of town this weekend, so I won't be here to play. I'll have to vote in the poll early-ish so as not to miss it.

The fake stinky is perplexing, but maybe it was as he said.... I have a reason for thinking he might not be Horde based on certain events at work this Day and his voting record says probably not Snake Mountain. So, it is very possible he is not mafia.

Epig could have stopped all this if he had just said "there is nothing about number of posts in this game". As a civ, my lynch vote is the main power I possess. As such, I take great pride in using it as I best see fit - I can use it to (attempt to) kill a mafioso, send a message, express myself, or simply because I enjoy clicking circles in polls.

Today I have chosen to use my vote to send a message. I believe the message is clear. Timmer, do not try to lead me astray again, for ye know not what ye hath wrought in so doing.

Kate, I would like to help you with your posting stats. I agree, DF likely was able to grow a pretty decent network of civ BTSC, as BF posits. So I think perhaps this act of discussing folks is probably going to be helpful!

2 - When I voted for someone yesterday I thought was mafia, a civ died instead. So maybe if I do the reverse, a mafioso will die! Logic, I use it!
