I'm always happy to take one for the team. Even if my team goes on to win without me. Though I was a little bummed that it meant I probably wouldn't get to win with you. I'd still do it again in a heartbeat.

I know how hard it is to get replacements for baddies who are under suspicion, so this is all confusing.
Which is why I'd rather give both replacements some time to get into the game. It takes a brave soul to take on any role that's under the gun, so I'm going to look elsewhere today.
Actually, I didn't put Bea on the defensive immediately. She had a bizarre interaction with Devin which read as a major over-reaction to me. I reread it several times... found some glaring slip ups and asked her about it. She could have defended differently. In fact, when she was civ she DID defend differently. I obviously do not have magical Bea reading powers, and never claimed to. I saw something that pinged me, I had no idea that mentioning it would open up an entire can of worms... but it did.Matahari wrote:The only other player I can think of who has been suspected was Bullzeye. With Indi putting Bea on the defensive almost immediately, I guess we won't be getting any leads on who else to look at. If Indi had info, that might explain the quick jump before bea had a chance to implicate others (depending on her affiliation) but I don't remember her going after ajira, so I guess that's not the case. Maybe she just reads Bea really well. Or, sometimes.
Yes, I noticed the same thing about the "replacement card" and grouping herself with you.Kate wrote: First it seems like Bea wants to join forces as "new replacements" and defends against people going after either of us. Bea, in my quotes above, seems to be slinging mud and using the replacement card as a sword and a shield.
I agree 100%. That's exactly what I was trying to say. I may not have made it clear enough. Anyway, for me it's a moot point, as I've voted Bea today already.Bullzeye wrote: I do want to make a quick point about low posters, it's one I make a lot. Obviously with G.O.B and Ajira it's no longer relevant since they've been replaced, but I think low posting alone isn't a huge issue as long as their small number of posts shows they're actively trying to play and contribute to discussion. I know you've said you're not necessarily looking to eye anyone in particular but I feel like I say some variation of that every time low posters come up in discussion so it's basically a tradition. With that said I'll discuss them individually (and I do wish that those who've not yet been replaced would come in and play with us!).

but you feel baddie to me. And have for a while now.
I did mis-read you. You are right there. And I am sorry about that. I never claimed to "read you so well" once. I simply said I had seen you pull the "sweet Bea" act before. I was never certain you were bad before and I never said I was. In fact, once I read your explanations to me, I was happy to simply watch and wait. I wasn't gunning for you, nor was I determined for you to be bad.
Interesting that suddenly you think I'm baddie because I mention your name once you have a new role though. You never said that before when I asked questions about you or suspected you... when you were a civ.
This is not a defense to me. You're just trying to sling mud at me. Was I wrong before? Yes. I've said so many times. Me being wrong about you before has zero baring on the role you have this time. This defense makes me feel worse yet about you... whereas last time your defense made me feel better about you.
I'm not trying to sling mud at you. At all. I'm trying to say - you're always thinking I'm bad in this game even when I'm not. And not once in this game have you given me a chance to be good. Forgive me for being jumpy about the fact that the person who should know me best in this game has misread me the whole way through. At some point, I'm a fool to not think that the misread is not on purpose. What would you think about me if the role's were reversed?

If MP follows the story (so far he is), then the Plasmid to be gained is Telekinesis. The upshot of Telekinesis, despite the description of the Plasmid, was not throwing grenades back at grenadiers, it was bringing helpful items to yourself that were out of reach.
The downside is that I recall very vividly what went on in those dentistries (there were three in one section of the Medical Pavilion, not one), and that as soon as you picked up the shotgun you were required to use it... a LOT.

I'm rubbish with remembering names of previous games, but it was an HV game and it was quite a while ago. Good points there on Bea. Did a quick flip flop on you too, Epi. I know that opinions on players change throughout the course of a game, but that one is especially obvious and strange.
More good points on Bea. Isn't GOB brand new to mafia too, or did I just assume that because I've not seen him around before? And I notice "this late in the game"?? Isn't it like, Day 4? Now if it were Day 8, that's late in the game, but for someone who may be brand new to mafia we've only had 3 complete lynch cycles yet. That may have been the question I saw the other day and didn't have time to elaborate on. Nev just explained (pretty succinctly, I might add) the things I'm considering about Bea. I can go back over my posts and find a few to quote too - there were a couple really good points made about Bea during the posting contest madness. You're right though, Bea is a sweetie. I will never forget, however, the way she tugged on my heart strings during a mafia game (by talking about MY sweetie) and pulled the wool over my eyes. She CAN be quite convincing with her "sweet Bea" routine when she needs to be.Matahari wrote: I'm also wondering if indiglo has explained yet what the 'plenty of other good reasons' for voting Bea are. I think the case against her, at this point, is rather weak. I think the theory isn't as strong as I used to because Boo was civvie, although, Bullz is on my list for tomorrow though.

Nev, I think I tend to agree with what you said, but I'd still like to give myself just a little more time before voting. If I vote Bea or Boats it will not be because THEIR names start with B. Plenty of good points have been made on both of them - and I think it's kinda weird that Bea chose to focus on silly things people said as a joke rather (voting for the B's) than defending against the real reasons posted.
FH, fantastic question about the baddies. I remember thinking that in MOTU - that an absent baddie is less of a threat, but if the team is allowed to send in the night actions then we're really in a pickle. And I have a feeling that if we go for absent players we'll get a lot of innocent fallout. (Not like we aren't already getting that though.)

I agree with everything you posted minus the stuff about me. Really, all that was meant was that I was looking for why I was suspect at the time. At first all I was getting was vague "I think bea might be bad" comments. It's hard to defend when one doesn't know what they are defending against. Even now, the most people can say is "yes, there's the timing of the vote. Which I get, but is more coincidental than indicative of my alignment" and "tone." To me, tone is hard to defend against. I was wishy-washy with my posting, because I was honest and my thinking was wishy-washy. I was not pretending to be dumb. I truly feel dumb in this game. I think I have a little more to go off now in making a more informed decision, but the first 3 days, I was really really lost. Hell part of me wanted to be lynched because I was so frustrated at not understanding and being accused of being bad for it.
