Re: Occultism Mafia - Day 8
I missed last vote, but would have voted for BWT (nearly process of elimination at this point) and also to save Vomps.
Imma go ahead and vote because this game I can't trust myself to wait around close to time. Feel free to follow my example. I feel better about this vote than say, voting for MM, and I feel way better about this vote than voting anyone else I've not yet named in this post.
I hardly ever do this, but I encourage you to follow my lead.

I'm still leaning towards MM being civ, so I'm not sure I want to look there. Vomps is one I would consider though. Given the way the lynch went down, I could possibly be wrong about him. Not to mention that once he was un-insanified, he didn't bother explaining his vote for INH. Or any of his other posts for that matter.
@Vomps: Are you still reading the thread or not?

That's a good point. You can communicate pretty clearly through haikus, horoscopes, and weather reports. That does seem a bit like "One of these things is not like the others."Hedgeowl wrote:Mongoose wrote:I think this is for the best. Re: Occultism Mafia - Day 5
If SVS is right about the indie not being able to kill until the baddies were both dead (or maybe the baddie killer was dead), this would give this indie a serious motivation to become the world's best baddie hunter (and thus look like Mayor Civ).

Sorry mate.
With Pluto (Jeanne Dixon rocks it old school, once a planet, always a planet) in your house of Violence, there may be danger ahead for you, but there does not have to be. If your adversaries have Venus in their house of Suspicion, they might see that a lone baddie Mongoose would not be likely to make bold statements. The upcoming influence of the Weasel constellation might also lead them to see how you may have jumped to the conclusion that you did.

Good lord Johnnie Cochran got all up in there. Thanks, man.
BTW, sorry I didn't explain this, I don't realize how many British idioms I use sometimes (I think the Australians use this one as well). It just basically means:
Used other than as an idiom: see lose, plot. [quotations ▼]
(idiomatic) To cease to behave in a consistent and/or rational manner. [quotations ▼]
(idiomatic) To lose sight of an important objective or principle; to act contrarily to one's own interests through concentrating on relatively unimportant matters
And I don't think it's derogatory in nature or obviously I wouldn't have used it.

Re: Occultism Mafia - Night 2
This is my magic circle. The user can stand in the middle of the large circle, or use any of the golden centers to "recharge". There is an extra layer of cushioning protection orbs all around the outside of the main circle. The green arms are used to maneuver the circle around, and can also be used to deflect an enemy's attack back at him/her. The green arms can also absorb an enemy's attack, and then transfer that latent energy back into the golden charging centers.
The color of the main circle and the outlying protecting orb wall are both colors of blue because spirits are confused by blue. In the French Quarter, many people paint their front doors "Haint Blue" in order to confuse the denizens of the dark. Spirits think see the doors and do not enter, because they process the blue color as water.

I'm having a hard time nailing down suspicions because it is a small game and still early, not much has happened.
We'll see though. You're still currently my main suspect, but we're still well off a Day 3 vote. So I have time to make up my mind one way or another.
MM, in rE: Vomps -- he is a special player, but he definitely seems more on point this game. Maybe he is in it to win it.

I promise I'm not being intentionally obtuse, but I gotta hold back a bit. Generally, I analyzed how Night 1 went down (no deaths) and filled in the blanks from there. There are other explanations for it, of course, so I could be very well wrong. I'm not at all "Super Sure" but am in the category of "Definitely Suspect" though.S~V~S wrote:It would explain so much if you could elaborate on why you think that as well.
Even without my annoyingly cryptic explanations, I think his actually thread behavior is odd. That in of itself isn't maybe ammunition for suspicion, but it's definitely eye-catching.

Re: Occultism Mafia - Day 2
I agree wholeheartedly about Hedgie. I've never seen her as driveby voter.
I need to be very careful with my words, so that's why I didn't post more last night (also my boss was hanging around foreevvvver), but I'm home now and I have a bit more time before my work is throwing me a going away party tonight!
Let's see how cogent I can be about this - I am definitely examining Boog as much as anyone else (who is such a lovely human being/cat by the way), but I was hesitant to take Sock's word for it. I found his post drumming up support for a Boogs vote to be fun and funny, but weird: http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 434#p72368
I'm examining why things went down the way they did last night, but I think it could very well be Sock. I would hate to push him out so early (he died so early in last game, but at least he really was bad), but it explains a lot if he is Aleister Crowley. And yeah, specifically Crowley, not just a bad hoss in general.
