Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {NIGHT 2}
I can't believe that you of all people would have the gall to complain that there's not enough information/discussion during any phase of this game. If that's what you're doing. That's what I interpret from you calling endphase chicken-feed.
My only criticism of you in this game has been that you were specifically restricting yourself to OMGUS suspicions. If you want to criticize the rest of us for not doing well enough, then start doing better yourself. Good night.

Oh yeah, that thing. I haven't seen Blue Velvet, but someone (RIP G-Man?) mentioned a roleclaim in this. Are you roleclaiming a daughter whose parents have both been killed in this game? It's right over my head, because I don't know the characters.

I was a guy who could pick his alignment.
You didn't get me exactly anything because I hadn't chosen a side, and I didn't do exactly what you said I would do. You said I would side with the Reapers and pretend to be a civilian. In fact, I sided with the Reapers and blatantly told everyone I sided with the Reapers.

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 2}
I think G would be less likely to self-vote as a baddie. He wouldn't want to let down his team.
nutella looks good to me. I don't think her vote on Epi is exactly where a teammate would vote. And if Epi were good and nut were bad, I think she would steer clear of the Civ-Civ fight.
Llama is being sketchy/lazy, which is a bit annoying, and not really helpful. I feel like he has been 90% Rico-focused. Also, he was one of Sloonei's only suspicions.
Dyslexicon could be bad, I don't really know her well enough to judge. I have the feeling she's difficult to read even for those who know her very well.
Spacedaisy, no read yet.
timmer... can't nail it down, I'm going to have a quick reread of your posts.

Then I must be psychic I guess.Epignosis wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2017 1:55 pm As of Day 2, Long Con, you were wrong about me. You are making stuff up. I chose to join the bad team after Day 3. By Day 2, when you kept calling me nervous, I hadn't made up my mind, and had no reason to be nervous. I would have joined the civilians had one more Reaper been lynched by Day 3. It is inaccurate to say you were right about me on Day 2, because I hadn't yet chosen a side.
You misunderstand again. When I said you're phoning it in because you're playing like Mass Effect, I didn't mean that you were phoning it in during Mass Efect. I meant you're phoning it in now because you're doing the same tells as in Mass Effect. I don't want to imply that you phoned it in during Mass Effect, you played a fine game during Mass Effect.I don't see how I phoned in Mass Effect unless you mean after Day 3 when I had chosen the Reapers and had fun channeling my inner SHODAN. If that's the parallel you are drawing, then I don't know what to tell you. During Day 2, I was playing my ass off.

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 2}
I'm "making up" that you're nervous? How can I do that? I am observing your behaviour, and making conclusions based on it. I understand why you'd want to position it as "making it up" in everyone's minds, but we both know that's not an honest way to describe this kind of analysis.Epignosis wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2017 1:08 pmThat's very compelling evidence against me.Long Con wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2017 11:42 amThanks for bringing up Mass Effect. Let's compare.
Mass Effect Epignosis:Blue Velvet Epignosis:Obvious parallels. Attempt to discredit your accuser as a method of avoiding suspicion. This is a proven Epignosis baddie tactic. How else can you discredit your accusers? Maybe rolling your eyes at them?
Mass Effect Epignosis:Blue Velvet Epignosis:Just like in Mass Effect, you are getting nervous because I am questioning you. You try to hide it behind condescending bluster and bravado, but your tells give you away (" "), and your meta seals the point.
You are bad, you're phoning it in, and you got caught. I understand that's not something you're wired to accept, but it's happening. I couldn't close the deal in Mass Effect, and you ended up winning as a baddie just like I was screaming you would the whole time. I don't have a lot of faith that the other players will see it this time, because you're historically really good at the manipulative talk to avoid your own lynch. But I saw through it then, and I see through it now.
You need a new shtick. Vote Epignosis
Except I was not bad in Mass Effect. I was a neutral independent at the time you said I was nervous. I was never nervous, and I certainly wasn't nervous because of you. I was the one holding the cards Day 2. I used my fake claim brilliantly to draw accusations from someone who tried to kill me and assumed I was the bulletproof guy on the other team. It worked. I regard my Day 2 Mass Effect play to be one of the best things I ever accomplished. I was not nervous then, and I'm not nervous now. You are making things up.
And I understand you want to see your history in a certain way. The fact is, I was 100% right about you. You chose to join the bad team - as I said numerous times, it was by far the most likely choice for you since Day 0 began. It's not that you're predictable or something, it was just the best choice for your own survival and win. That was easy for me to see, and it was easy for you to see. Obviously, since it's what you did. So don't give me a bunch of crap about how you were "neutral independent", because we both know you were bad from the get-go, with a plan B of joining the Civs if your team ended up getting slaughtered early.
Actually, I'm pretty damn sure that you are.I'm not bad here either.
I understand that you're "participating as able". That's fine. I don't contest your real-life busy time. You're phoning it in because you're doing it the same as you did in Mass Effect. You're phoning it in because you're not being careful about your tells.Nor am I phoning it in. I am participating as I am able.
And I am right about you. Just like in Mass Effect.Again, you're making shit up about me because you have nothing on me. Just like you did in Mass Effect.
Yeah, you're right, I mixed up who won that game. I just glanced at the blue host-post in passing and saw 'Epignosis' and 'Reapers' and my mind made it the victory endgame post (which was actually lost to the void).To prove how delusional you are, and that you believe bullshit, let's examine an easily verifiable claim you just made.
Huh. I don't see the name "Epignosis" there in the host's recap among the winners.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2017 4:31 pm Since the latter portion of this game was lost in the madness, the winners were Cerberus-aligned:

I'm sorta tempted to vote for Rico because I'm pretty damn sick of the annoyingness, but Epi's pushing me to reconsider since I don't really think Rico necessarily looks like/is behaving like a baddie. Like, he could be "hiding behind" the singsong bullshit and the no-u pattern, but I don't have a particularly strong reason to think that. But the more he's getting pushed on it and remaining stubborn, the more I'm doubting his innocence... idk. WIFOM and all that jazz. If I can't make up my mind on Rico I might join DH in voting for G-Man -- the points there don't feel like much but it's more than I have on anyone else.
It was a question I asked nutella, one in which I am still awaiting a response, because she used a much stronger verb than I would have expected given I only ask a question about why people were voting Ricochet. I wasn't "pushing" anybody to do anything. I want to know why she said I was.
But spin things how you want. Apparently my questioning of nutella is supposed to prove I've been busy.

Stop trying to control the conversation. I addressed you because I looked at your ISO and found it lacking in player opinions. And now, instead of giving some player opinions like I asked, you're trying to steer the conversation away from that. I'm not interested in discussing times in the past when you might have laid low. You're doing it now, that's the concern.
Looks like Rico is going to be lynched. You think he's Civ? 'Cause your efforts to save him have been pretty lacklustre - who should we lynch instead? Dyslexicon? Long Con?

Hey, if you want to PM me this revelation, I will not open it unless you die. It will stay in your Outbox, as "information insurance", and if you live through the night, you can just delete it without me ever seeing it. BUT, if you die, then I can bring it to the thread.
You can even tell someone else that I have this. Then, you don't have to worry that I'm bad, and will mess with the info.
In fact, you could also work the same deal with another player. PM them, they do not open it, except to verify that I go through with it in the event of your death.
Or maybe I'm just too paranoid. I think that's pretty solid though.

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 0}
So... what does it mean to vote someone for protection? You think they're Civ? You just want them to make it further?
DharmaHelper and speedchuck voted for nutella to be protected last night. Contrast that to Sloonei's instant vote on nutella today. I'd like to hear you gentlemen talk that out a little.
G-Man and Long Con both voted DH for protection. I gave my reason, but I haven't looked back to remind myself of G-Man's. I want vote-order to be part of our polls again as well. I'd like to easily be able to see who voted for someone when it was clear S~V~S was winning, if that happened. You know, that kind of thing.
Sprityo self-voted. Kind of tragic.
Timmer, Spacedaisy, and Epignosis voted S~V~S, and Epi cast the "deciding" vote. Given that I think Epi is bad, I would say that makes S~V~S look a little better, because I don't see why a baddie would vote to protect a teammate in this situation. The situation being that baddies don't need protecting because they're the ones killing.
S~V~S, nutella, Llama, Rico, Sloonei all voted one-offs.
Ok, Sloonei, I have tried to set the stage for using this as a scum-hunting mechanism. Perhaps some of your ideas on that front will be easier to process no?

Let's get through one more lynch and see, sounds like Wilgy was a special case.Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2017 7:27 am Serious question - Flips don't show alignment and role? How am I supposed to make sense of this game? Is this normal? o.o

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 2}
First two to PM are selected?
I don't know what this mutiny entails. I'm going to sit back and watch. I don't doubt DH has already done it.

If I don't see some suspicions from Poppy that are not OMGUS/No U, then I will vote to lynch. Annoying is one thing, but annoying and wilfully unproductive... that's an ear of a different flavour.

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {NIGHT 1}
Voted DH for protection to help him on his quest to reach Phase 2. Voted "Everyone Has 2 Votes On Day 2" because that's fun-cool.

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {NIGHT 1}
Mutiny. Mutiny requires someone in charge. You remove them from being in charge, and you take charge. I agree it sounds fun. But gimme something you think it could mean.DharmaHelper wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2017 12:36 amI know what all the other poll options will do. Mutiny is fun and mysterious and it's mutiny for 2. Twice as fun and mysterious.
:o I was just trying to help. I thought it was a cool plan.
Thanks, nut!

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {NIGHT 1}
RIP Wilgy!
Spacedaisy, thellama73, speedchuck, DharmaHelper... you all have voted for mutiny.
What do you think will happen? It sounds interesting, but mutiny is generally a negative kind of thing.

I haven't had any BTSC contact with Wilgy.
Wilgy, what's going on? Something you wanna share?

Who wants my vote for Night 1's protection-that-really-isnt-a-protection-because-only-a-doofus-would-try-to-kill-someone-with-a-public-protection.

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 1}
Ok, I just ISO'ed everyone, while it's still easy enough for a lazy guy.
Dharmahelper - circled around with mostly quips and jokes until he zeroed in on nutella. I like his points on nutella.
DrWilgy - total jokes. I know it's Wilgy, but if he wants to make it all jokes, those jokes should start getting meatier with content. 5 posts right now.
Dyslexicon - No idea. Pass.
Epignosis - My opinions regarding Epi's behaviour during Dealgate are already known.
G-Man - A little light on the usable content, just a smidge. I thought this post was wishy-washy.
Long Con - Does this guy have a brother? Back off, ladies - he's taken!
Nutella - Not a bad response to DH's case. I was surprised she had three votes earlier.
Ricochet - I don't know why this schtick stirs such anger in me. I'm trying to control it and give Rico a chance.
S~V~S - Dove right in, good content.
Sloonei - No real criticisms of Sloon's posts, my suspiciometer needle didn't move
Spacedaisy - a little invisible for my liking. Writing a prescription for more content.
Speedchuck - He's a good boy. Goooood boooy! Why not try to call him?
Sprityo - Content-light. He kinda wants to lynch Rico and I think maybe he suspects Llama?
TheLlama73 - Pretty low-laying, just a bit of Rico action. Not very impressive. Now he's the one with three votes.
Timmer - Solid contributor. One of my greenest reads.
