Alright. You may or may not be bad, but according to the new law, you do need to be dead.
I'm not exactly a fan of this development either. It won't be easy to lynch all the Cylons.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Four
Everyone, before you pile your votes onto Lorab.
We should hang on for a bit first. We've got 48 hours in the day. Also, there has been resistance to "Mass-Cylon-Claim" plan. If any of said players are Cylons, we could effectively force them to use their amnesty before falling back to Lorab.
Just a thought.
Linki w/ Silverwolf: agreed.

I think you're not on the baddie team, but I still think you should participate. I'm ok with Epignosis not doing it because he's an outed Cylon already, but I hope that every other player will partake.ObscureAllure wrote:Nah it's easy - everyone but me just make the claim. It relieves the playing field.
If there are Cylons who are pro-human, I hope that they will sacrifice their own amnesty in order to negate the amnesty of the anti-humans. Why? Because if a pro-human Cylon does need to utilize their amnesty at a later point in the game to prevent being lynched, they're likely to be lynched the next day and waste time anyway. I think we're better off if everyone levels now.
I know that's a difficult thing to ask of 25 players, but I hope everyone can see the benefit of it.

You can go before Epignosis.Ricochet wrote:Fair point and oversight on my behalf. I rescind my first point.Metalmarsh89 wrote:There are several players who can't have amnesty tomorrow, as Matt has highlighted. Lorab is one of them and likely to be lynched.Ricochet wrote:Well two things:

The plan is manipulable. The Cylons could blend and then maybe fuel a witchhunt for anyone who hasn't claimed. Because god knows some of you are already in "he who opposes = FoS" mode.
The point of the plan was to eliminate any of the amnesty existing, not to create a WIFOM world where the Cylons can wreak havoc. We've already agreed that Humans have nothing to lose by abiding. I've pointed out multiple reasons they have something to gain from it. As a result, I can't think of a reason that a human would refuse to follow it. As such, I think it's logical to be suspicious of someone who opposes.
As for the second, I then propose the following. I shall be the last player to abide. If
no overall claim will be achieved, I still find that the plan will be manipulable.

Anyway, Marmot...
Why did you say "but that's alright" to Drum after he voted Nero? And why did you vote Nero less then 30 min later?
I do know that was the moment when I truly understood how the amnesty worked. Before, I thought that it would result in a no lynch if the vote-leader had amnesty, not that the next player down would be lynched.

I explained it to Jay here.Matt wrote:@ Marmot, can you please explain why you claimed that you voted for Nero because "you don't do ties" even though you clearly believed Lorab was telling the truth about being a Cylon, thus no tie even existed, at least from your PoV? I was set on not voting for Lorab because she claimed Cylon, and I was stuck in that mindset. At the time, the benefit of putting her in the lynch-lead didn't occur to me.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Night Three
Humans don't have amnesty.Ricochet wrote:I don't find it in the interest of any civilian to fakeclaim during future Day phases just to save their asses, so this scenario is actually better for leaving such pressure only to actual Cylons.Metalmarsh89 wrote: Nobody else (or only a few more) follow the plan: Then we continue the game with several cases of amnesty still in play. Who is "everyone"? If you are supposedly an uninformed civilian, you should have no concept of who "everyone but Cylons" might be. There is no way to distinguish Cylons from humans (or baddies from civilians) simply by assuming that "everyone but Cylons will follow through". I don't find this scenario feasible. Case in point, I am human civilian and don't plan to fake Cylonclaim. What you're proposing sounds almost like a "hey, everyone who is civ say so, the others must be therefore bad". Uh, fat chance.Metalmarsh89 wrote: Everyone but the Cylons follow the plan: Then we found our Cylons. I don't expect this result, but it is possible.
If everyone follows the plan, we go back to the usual lynch status quo, in which nobody is safe from lynching based on this law. That's about it.Metalmarsh89 wrote: Everyone follows the plan: We don't learn who the Cylons are, but they are at least easier to lynch.
It would not hurt the humans, but it would not help them bait or distinguish Cylons no more. Besides, we should be respecting da law and I find it that this law was meant to ensnare Cylons, not for us to use it en gros to allow for nothing to be potentially achieved.Metalmarsh89 wrote: What do we have to lose by using this plan Ricochet? How would it hurt the humans for every player to Cylon-claim?
Cylons do.
Not following this plan will allow all Cylons to save their amnesty until the moment before they are lynched. Why do you think this is better than no player having amnesty?

I don't expect it to be a game-solver.Ricochet wrote:Did you read my caveat? Cylons could perfectly blend in with this, whilst not giving a frak about actual amnesty. The amnesty law should be like plain bait for Cylons, especially bad ones. I can't speak for LoRab's decision, but if I were Cylon and bad, I would not touch the amnesty button one bit, at this stage. LoRab did, but I doubt all six others will and I doubt this law will be the gamesolver for us civilians.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Did you even read the plan? If you're cylons, right now you could have easily bantered your way out of every having to out yourselves for real and your D2 testimony being treated as the equivalent of WIFOM ("did he/she claim for bantz or for real?"), instead of being every scrutizined properly.![]()
We weren't claiming "for shits and giggles", we were claiming to force the hands of the Cylons.
I expect it to make things easier for those who need to lynch Cylons. Letting the Cylons save their amnesty until late points in the game could prove detrimental. Imagine if there are three bad Cylons left on Day 10. It could take 6 days to lynch them if they play their cards right. I'd rather avoid that scenario and make it 3.

I was mainly holding my vote in case Nero came in and claimed Cylon to gain immunity. Had he done so, we would have been left with 8 players with 1 vote apiece. That would have been an awful result.Spacedaisy wrote:I think Nero voters are a good place to look, obviously. As has already been pointed out, those holding their votes might be worth consideration, I'm sure they wouldn't have wanted Lorab to out herself until it became necessary, so I can't imagine they voted early given that fact. I need to look over how the votes came in I think. However, once it was locked in that Nero was going to die instead of Lorab, they could safely cast their votes on her if they wished. Which I suppose doesn't look good for me, but eh, it is what it is. Makes the later votes less meaningful. It would be the ones that locked him in for second that should be most scrutinized I think, since they are the ones that likely determined the lynch in reality.

's dropped into this thread in the wake of Nero's flip is more suspicious than your actual vote was. But I need to understand one thing:
#2. I think this is an incorrect interpretation of the President's law, but regardless -- if you think this is how it functions, then it is a lot harder to understand why you voted for Nero. If you think Nero dies either way, then you needlessly sacrificed an opportunity to get more information out of the lynch by putting LoRab in the lead. Please explain what brought you to this move specifically in light of this query.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Three
As Golden just cleared up, Lorab effectively has 0 votes (unless she lied).DrumBeats wrote:So basically right now it comes down to who would we rather have in front, Nero or Lorab.
Pros of Nero ahead:
-Human!Lorab would not die
Pros of Lorab:
-We would know for sure if Lorab is a cylon.
I'm personally leaning more towards putting Nero ahead. Would've preferred Glorfindel or Bea, but sadly that's not a choice.
Vote: Nerolunar
Thus, Nerolunar would be the lynch leader regardless of your vote. But that's alright.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Three
It is now mathematically impossible for anyone apart from Nerolunar or Lorab to be lynched (in a normal universe).
Linki: Oh, never mind. I probably missed someone else getting the answer to that question.

Nah, I think that it only works the day the say it, the first time that they say it.Golden wrote:A new law has been passed.
Cylon Amnesty Act: Any person may publicly admit to being a cylon and, if the declaration is true, they will have immunity from the lynch for that day. Once a person has outed themselves as a cylon, they cannot do it a second time.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Three
There are 7 votes left to be placed, so at this point, you would need every other player available to follow suit in order to push Glorfindel into the lead.G-Man wrote:And if Nero comes in last-second like and outs himself, we need another option. I'm gonna go with my gut on this one.
Vote = Glorfindel
I'll probably vote for Nerolunar. If he's a Cylon, eliminating his amnesty would still be a good result, even if no one is lynched.
Linki: Never mind. Now it's mathematically impossible for Glorfindel to be lynched outright.

Why don't you think this plan will do anything?Long Con wrote:I'm still active. I don't think this plan will do anything. I wouldn't mind lynching Long Con at this point either. He was been active in the thread up until the point where I suggested everyone say "I am a Cylon". I would have expected him to be on board with it if he was human.
I think it is a clever plan that could eliminate the amnesty of several Cylons if people get on board with it.

I propose that every player state "I am a Cylon" at this moment.
