Re: Bluey: The Werewolf Game - Game Thread (Day 1)

I think I would prefer a falcon chop over a LC chop today as Lc is at least replying but I don’t understand why he isn’t voting to save himself. I find that the weirdest thing about him today.

If only you'd actually townslipped
being less informed about the setup(being unaware of the playercount and thus not being focused on how many miselims there are) leans town IMO.

unless you think i came in and said "let me fake a townslip and draw attention to it while im already mostly townread/not on the lim list for majority"
Not necessarily. Some players just pay more attention to that kind of stuff.

For example while I’m town this game, I almost never have any idea how many players are in the game and don’t really care about set up. Mechanics aren’t my thing
you.. just agreed with my point while saying you disagree..
Not really. You said it was a town lean and I said it wasn’t alignment indicative. As in when I’m mafia I don’t give a shit about that stuff either

Also thank you to TSP. Interesting GTH reads. I haven’t heard much suspicion on spf, and most talk has been townie, so I’m particularly interested in that read. I think her posts have been ok but not necessarily solid town read for me yet, as I think she is a good player and could easily fake that level of contribution

I would agree that you are generating content, and I do feel better about your contributions and attitude than I did in the beginning, but I also think you are not being fair to nanook as he is also generating content. It’s just in a different way. I would think given how much you have said your play style garners suspicion that you would appreciate that people play differently. You move focused on nanook. Why not someone like Tony who has even less content? (If you have suspected Tony I forget. I play from my phone always and sometimes it’s difficult to go back although I try)
Tony has not posted in thread for me to question. Also i dont feel threatened by a random i dont know being potential scum yet because they dont have any meta knowlege to be able to properly manipulate me if they are scum.

I play a somewhat complex game that involves manipulation as town - dont worry, im not just givint a full pass to slots being inactive. I just cant pressure whats not there and that i dont know anything about yknow?
I’m trying to understand this so can you please try to rephrase? If you are town, every mafia is a threat.

I believe someone mentioned a town tell there so I’m curious for more elaboration there as well. His posts seemed fine at first but I think I would have expected more thoughts by now. I’m hesitant to start suspicion there as I have focused on suspecting him before and been wrong, so it’s not really someone I can read well. I guess he would be PoE now if I was going to compile one of those

I also do not think nanook and LC play similarly. I think LC can be a bit jokesy, especially in the beginning, but it seems a weird comparison to make. Could be wolf seeing nanook get excused by some for always playing this way and trying to get the same forgiveness

I'm heading out the door just now, but I'll be around at day end and in good time before.

I'm not clear on what @fingersplints suspicion on Koba is. To me it looks like more personality clash. If this is not the case, I would love a recap of why that is the vote.

I don't remember why anyone who's voting Falcon is. I think Koba voted him in relation to Falcon jumping on the Koba wagon, but that's it.

@Alison Where are you? Weren't you complaining about no solving and no content?

@hollowkatt Are you happy with your Invictus vote? If so, how are you going to convince us that he's scum here?

@NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME I'm inferring that your vote on Tony is both game plow and lack of town read. If there's more to it, please share?

In general, we need to come together and make a decision here. I'm on Long Con now. He doesn't have that much content. I'm not married to my vote. Does anyone have good suggestions, who is the most likely to flip scum, why?
its like 100% personality clash. There are just players who will always scumread my style no matter what bc they wanna use a "catch all" system of reading that only catches scum >rand.
I think their perspective is towny.

And if u think im TMIing with confident townreads this early, i am pretty good at spotting town early game, but bad at spotting scum. Just playing to my strengths here.
I forgot to respond to @Dyslexicon earlier, so I’ll just do it here with your response as well.

Just little pings earlier, but then they kept pushing with their attitude, threats and the like which I said that I do not respond well too.
I absolutely do not “always scumread” anyone and I have no idea why DkKoba keeps generalising how I play and hunt baddies like they know me at all given they have not ever played with me before. I’m not sure I would have kept my vote there this long tbh as it’s just a mild suspicion as is but then they keep slightly annoying me with their comments to me and I don’t know of a better alternative yet, so it’s stuck for now. We’ll see if something better presents itself as a stronger suspicion would be preferable to mild suspicion plus some annoyance.

Re: Bluey: The Werewolf Game - Game Thread (Day 1)

I disagree that nanook’s play is intentionally not readable. I’ve had no problem accurately reading him every game I play with him (which is like 4 but still)
It’s just early still and I have no problem with not reading everyone yet

For the record I don’t have a read on nanook yet. So not trying to defend him.

Re: Bluey: The Werewolf Game - Game Thread (Day 1)

I think it’s ironic that DkKoba said I was “reading poorly with bad preconceived conceptions” for voting because I found their play style scummy “ergo nothing” but then literally the SAME NIGHT takes big issue with how nanook is playing and calls it scummy.

It’s kind of on you at this point to prove your town in this game, not expect others to read several games on other sites. I’m not going to waste my time with that.
i dont need to prove anythign to you except with my unique dayplay that will deliver 3 scum into the path of a silver bullet
then suffer

why do u scumread it tho?
I don’t find this behaviour productive for the town. You still have time to change my mind. Well, maybe. I’m still not entirely clear when day is ending, but I’m just going to assume we have another day anyways and that you have time.
so basically, you think im scummy bc playstyle and ergo nothing.
I thought your original vote for LC seemed off, and then your responses to people just speculating about it was an over reaction. I don’t really think’s “nothing”
Again, I don’t find this aggressive tone productive. I’m hormonal and will not respond well to it. (I like to mention at least once at the start of each game that I’m pregnant, in case I have an irrational outburst, so that at least the thread has all been warned. Mafiaing pregnant has been such a rollercoaster of emotions at times lol)
As I’ve said you can change my mind still.

Any other thought or opinions?
I like Invictus post about DkK’s series of posts and vote for LC. I also found it a bit off.

I’m wary of Marmot, but that is absolutely normal. Tbh it’s be more suspicious to me if I wasn’t wary of him.

TSP’s posts seem ok so far. As do yours.

Most other people I don’t have an opinion on yet.
im sure that fingersplints has a solid wolf game, but i will say that their style of posting is fairly different from the wolf game i just saw from her in fargo mafia. she is much more blunt and to the point and i dont feel like she's dancing around taking stances like she did in that game. generally decent feelings about that slot so far
Fargo mafia was a very difficult game for me. My active teammate died day 1. The other teammate who I joined the game to play with was a no show, then his replacement crashed and burned upon entry into the game. Way too many players and posts for me. Too much mechanics. Just all over outside my comfort zone.

I don’t know why I’m really making this point. I was scum in Fargo and am town now. I just don’t think that’s a good representation of my mafia game, which I always used to prefer being and thought I was better at over town, but it seems perhaps my game changed a lot over the five year break.

Re: Bluey: The Werewolf Game - Game Thread (Day 1)

DkKoba really reminds me so much of this player from back in the day. Which if this play is similar it really doesn’t mean much. Could be town, but could just as easily be mafia. I’m still hoping someone will come in and say what they usually play like (Who isn’t DkK them self) because as of now it’s still really not sitting great with me. it just seems a bit early for this kind of aggressive play. They created much more suspicion than they had on themselves with this response.

Re: Bluey: The Werewolf Game - Game Thread (Day 1)

I think I’m going to have to wait until people who know DkK chime in if this is normal play style, because the threats and calling normal mafia game play as “spineless” really doesn’t sit well with me. It’s over the top aggressive and why?
