Epi, MP and I were the Reds

Return to “Monopoly Mafia [GAME OVER]”
Congrats, and adieu.thellama73 wrote:I am honestly stunned that so many people here still can't read me at all. I guess it's a testament to my skills, I guess.
That doesn't make sense. Whatever you flip you could be someone's partner. Nothing will change that, unless you're WW.thellama73 wrote:It means I know my flip will be a colored civvie, which MM will assume was partnered with BR.zeek wrote:Surely this means you think your flip will reflect badly on BR?thellama73 wrote:In an interesting turn of events, Black Rock now has an incentive for me not to die, since MM thinks I am her partner. Think about that, Black Rock, and maybe change your vote!

How has it turned into this?Metalmarsh89 wrote:Today has turned into a llama and LC vs. MP and zeek battle.
I agree with this. Unless they become active again I think it's in our interest to leave WW right now. I'll prob be looking at likely Reds or Railroads. The kill of the Railroads is of more concern to me at the moment, but I've just avoided the Reds and I know some of you are coming up to them.Turnip Head wrote:On another note, we really need to start ferreting out the LMS groups, especially the reds. I wouldn't be surprised if they won the bid for the Beatdown power, which would let them take over Water Works' kill if WW is eliminated. Might be better to leave that NK in the hands of a comatose player...
There isn't. I was in jail.Metalmarsh89 wrote:I didn't know there was a silence power out.
Good point, well made.thellama73 wrote:Why do people keep saying "why even say it?"zeek wrote:I don't know him, why even say it?
There's this new thing called communication.
This is not-my-first-game-since-coming-out-of-retirement-Zeek. I'm sorry I'm not more like MP this game, but thats not my usual style anyway.S~V~S wrote:I started my reread of Zeek this AM, and have to say, he does not seem like the same guy we had in Dr Who. Helluva lot quieter.
Brief, not lazy, as I had limited time to post. I was stating I also find it suspicious you say you don't have BTSC but you're convinced LC is civ. You say you're not voting for him but it really looks like you might have to if it comes down to the two of you. How good can your reading of LC be, if it was so different the previous day?thellama73 wrote:This is a lazy post. You're just latching onto an existing theory (a bad one at that). Why would a baddie be so careless as to just vouch for a teammate without explanation? Come on, Zeek, you know me better than that.zeek wrote:Well, MP makes a decent case. I do think Mafia should be our priority because they have a kill. But there is legitimate concern that LC, llama and a possible third partner could be Mafia. I'll probably vote either way as well. llama is saying he didn't 180 on LC because of BTSC but is convinced LC is civ. Yeah... something ain't right in that.
I also find declarations like "I have not found a partner" to be a bit bullshitty. Why even say it?
As to why I said "I have not found a teammate," there are two reason why I said it.
1) It's true.
2) I was accused of having found a teammate.
Boogs wrote:BWT or I am a Civ who has no teammates yet and it fighting to stay alive and stop mega powerful teams from getting me first.
This is how I feel pretty much. I'd like to hear his thoughts.Turnip Head wrote:How's everybody feeling about Metalmarsh these days? He's on my list of players who are just barely paying enough attention. He seems to just be "going along with it"
Admittedly I meant to mention MM in my post there. BR's involvement is also noteworthy to me. I don't see TH trying to make anyone feel stupid, feels like a bit odd thing to say. I'm always wary of these things, always wondering whether the baddies are just letting people go at it.Long Con wrote:Just want to say, for the record (although my vote makes it obvious) that I think TH has reacted better to my theory about them than Metalmarsh. MM just didn't even acknowledge the theory/case and just went right into attacking me.zeek wrote:More interesting is the TH-LC argument. Interesting developments.
You can be intelligent but wrong, and really dumb but right. Two aren't mutally exclusive.LoRab wrote:<snip> If I cannot be correct, then how can I be intelligent?
That's one way to make me not vote for youFZ. wrote:No, it was just a bad idea apparently, first, because I didn't think through the fact that they would just kill the person who won the bid, and second, because I didn't know that the RR would still show 25. If you want a lynch me for being being stupid, go ahead, I deserve it
This may have been a way to ensure the baddies could kill two birds with one stone: NK and take the card, and eliminate a trusted person. This has my attention.FZ. wrote:Nice job lynching Made.
Here's a thought. There are 3 players who would love to get their hands on the card. What if we pick someone who is the most trusted in the game (of course we vote on that), which granted is hard to pick at the moment, but still, and we let them make the bid. It's a risk, because we could end up picking a baddie, but on the other hand, all other players can't hide behind "I'm trying to prevent the baddies from getting it" excuse, and if one of the players falls on it later on, and the money is doubled, we know that person was bad in the first place.
THIS.Turnip Head wrote:So the railroads could just NK whoever wins the bidding and get the Short Line for free.
This is a terrible idea too. Whoever wins this card is a prime candidate for a NK, but making sure the most trusted player gets it means you lose the person most people will listen to/trust as well.Black Rock wrote:That, and I think it's too early to trust anyone.S~V~S wrote:Not sure I want to spend the night talking about the person I trust most.
Depends who it was I suppose. I genuinely don't think keys will search but I can't say that for many people.Metalmarsh89 wrote:What do you think about anyone that would claim to not look for a partner at night? I don't think a baddie would be that apparent, but I am not inclined to believe that player.zeek wrote:Has MP checked in yet? I know he's very busy at the moment, just realised I haven't seen him post in a while.
In regard it searching for your set: I think its up to each person to decide now. There have been a lot of good points on either side and I suppose its down to interpretation now. Which path will give each individual the greatest chance to win? Thats the basic crux of capitalism after all :P
Yeah, pretty sure this will be standard. Not criticising at all, but we'll all probably do this at some point and vote patterns won't be that helpful. It's also going to make bandwagons very likely amd less likely to result in a mafia lynch.Turnip Head wrote:I don't think Epi is bad, or at least I don't think he has BTSC yet... but if he has a majority vote 10 minutes before deadline you can bet your $weet bippy that I'll vote for him and then try to take his card.
