Cool game. I think it's the first time civilians ever win a game I signed up for, even though it wasn't my own civ faction. I was starting to think I was cursed.
I barely remember anything since it feels like an eon ago since I died but I see I was right about Mac so cool enough :beer

Here is how you work on this game. Someone accuses you, you ignore. Then they vote for you, you post "why did you vote me?" and disappear till the next day. Rinse and repeat.
Are you gonna admit you are doing a half-baked attempt at playing this game, at least? It would be easier to you as a civ if you were at least honest. But right now your strategy is basically "reply to nothing, deny everything, and stall". It's frustrating because I can see a civ doing that but you are not helping your own case.

That's the civ point of view, the baddie point of view if that you were watching the wagon thinking if it was worth entering it, then fabricated an ISO to back down. Or maybe you are teammates with him.

I think it's unlikely but not impossible. Not sure how we can use that information though. Specially since there is already a recruiting role in the game so the fact some civs could change alignment during the game is already a given.

Nutella comes across as manipulative lately. She softly pushed the Bass wagon, then softly pushed the DDL wagon, then backed down almost immediately after and posted like she was blaming other people for starting.
I've been getting a scum vibe from her for ages. Might vote today.
Not sure if I'm gonna vote Boomslang again so soon. I still suspect him, but nobody else does so I'm just wasting my vote. And Russ feels like dejavu, plus he made a post in day 5 that I liked.

Just kidding. I admit that I'm not reading the game.
I do, however, think you have a much higher chance of being right about Mac than you do about Boom. I'm good with Boom.
My possible votes right now - CapsFan, DP, Simon (not sure why people keep sleeping on Simon, some good evidence was raised about why he is Nanman and he seems to have vanished since it was)... maybe Mac on the outside, although I'm kind of suspicious about how much love he is getting for a vote all at once.

I don't get what people are seeing in DP when he has an ISO that is shorter than this sentence I am writing right now.
You might as well have the same probability of success by voting for Soneji (if he were still alive).
Where I come from, we don't lynch people like DP. We wait for the host to modkill/replace them.

He went AWOL after Day 1, when people were commenting on how aggressive he was. Now he just shows up once a day and drops a vote on Dunny.
This sounds like it was done on purpose. He stayed agressive until people said "this is the Mac we all know!" and then vanished when it was good enough.

Nerolunar
Quin
All those are players with 5 or more posts, which posted on day 2 or later, and yet nobody seems to be talking about them.
Yes I included myself. I fit the above criteria so it's only fair. And it feels awkward when nobody wants me dead, I don't like it. Talk about me more please.
Don't have an opinion on them? Well it's a great time to ISO them. Go.

Boomslang
A lot of talk about game mechanics on Day 0/1. Neutral read. Then votes MM/TH because they "wanted to duel". Somewhat suspicious, since you could have used all the time you discussed duel mechanics to pick a better case. But whatever it's D1.
Shows up on Day 2 again and actually starts playing in more serious way. Goes for both Jan and Sorsha, with some convincing arguments. Votes for Jan/MM "following up on his previous vote on MM". Which one, the one you picked "because he wanted to duel?" What about Sorsha?
This reeks of WIFOM. This guy is in my scum list.

If you disagree, let me know. I think you reached a little here with your interpretation.Boomslang wrote:I'd say a careless player needs to be carefully vetted until we can figure out what's going onDom wrote:Boomslang, does a careless player mean an evil player that needs to be kept on the other side of the wall?Case in point is Nerolunar. Ugh. I am a goddamn hypocrite." I really don't like this defense. If you're calling your own behavior out as shady, you're asking us to trust your civility on nothing but your word. I agree with the punishment of BWT's self-voting, but that's about it.
I value transparency more than anything, and being able to question or criticise my own previous line of thoughts is what ultimately will help me improve and learn from my mistakes. I don't want to cruise along faking false confidence just for the sake of appearing linear or composed.
With that said, lynch me if you want. I trust the dice.
And the post in the quote makes me feel worse about Boomslang. It looks like he is imposing standards to Nero that are not necessarily alignment indicative. I'd love if every player was as rational and informed as possible, but the real world doesn't work that way and I think Booms's view comes across as too naive.

As I understand it, part of the case that brought MM undone was his inconsistency in voting for Dr Wilgy for Prefect on Day 0 and then voted to have him duel on Day 1 - is that correct? I note that another player did a similar thing in that Boomslang voted MM for Prefect on Day 0 and then voted him for the dueling ring on Day 1.
The vote for MM's prefecture was mid-poll (i.e. 39th out of 62) so it wasn't really influential and it was MM's only vote for Prefect. I'm not sure what this says but personally, I didn't vote anyone for Prefect about whom I had doubts

Whats the point of being active since the start of the game if people are gonna ignore my posts and act like I only started making my points now?
This is the third time I vote for Boomslang. Check the polls.

Iirc DP has made like two posts where he does nothing but vote. He is basically interchangeable with the other 20 players who have done the same.

I just need to find another person to vote for. I wanna vote Boomslang (again) and Russ (again), but will wait another day to see if I get something more fresh to vote for.
How do we even know he was good? There are 2 teams, you know..
That being said, I see the argument on Mac and wouldn't be averse to seeing him duel.

Rather than drown myself even more by trying to read everything, I'll go back to my usual strategy of asking people questions.
I'll start with what has been my biggest question in the game: Nutella. I've been reading her as a strong townie based off of her tone and the volume of her content, but I've admittedly not done a thorough investigation of her. I've also seen a few people express very vague suspicion of her ("I think she's lying", "She seems off", etc.). Does anyone have a more substantial case to offer against Nutella? If there's reason to suspect her, I'd like to know about it.

Actually, I just looked at his ISO and he didn't disappear completely, but his playstyle is way less aggressive than how it was on day 1. Now he just sitcks to making small length comments on low posters (dunny, BWT, Simon, etc) and defending Dom (WIFOMWIFOMWIFOMWIFOM).

TH is too dead for you to be able to vote for him.Scotty wrote:I don't have lots of time today, but I'm just gonna put these statements out there:
-I think Quin is bad. I may or may not have time to form a case on him, but this is based on mostly tone.
-LoRab looks good this game.
-I don't buy TH's rebuttal after being silenced, nor do I understand why we dropped that case entirely. He can be very articulate when he wants to be, and comments like he has made such as [paraphrasing] 'I play this way because I'm trying to play a specific game' is raising my alarms. I may or may not be voting for him this phase.
-I don't feel like CapsFan warranted any votes yesterday or the day before. Volunteering for a battle and then chickening does not a baddie make.
-I think killing Soneji, who has made no appearance this game, is a VERY odd choice. I think there are several people in this game that would kill an inactive to increase the challenge. Because that must be what that is, right? A challenge? There is no other rational explanation for Soneji dying last night. That only helps the civs. Whoooo would do that as bad?
Also how you managed to miss TH's death when it appeared in the same post as Soneji's is beyond me.
