No serial killers, and it has a new goo faction instead of werewolves. It also seems to remove most pointless roles.

The setup not being guaranteed to be balanced is the main draw of the whole thing though.

For example: I searched for serial killers.

There were no serial killers in this game...

...except there were two of them, since there was no mafia BTSC, only two independent killers.

I think this would work much better if you killed the werewolf / alien factions and worked it out to where there would be a balanced Mafia / Civilian game.

Or that, too.

Apparently most people play it with small numbers. It was originally played in real life, with a deck of cards.

But next time I will attempt one with a lot more players.

It only worked because I had hosted greater idea before, so I knew the ins and outs of the roles. all the dealing with syndicate format and polls and hosting a turbo game for the first time ever was hard.

But I'm glad you guys liked it.

I did not have time to make a better explained thread, unfortunately. This was pretty rushed.

If you notice, in the first page, I used the word "scum" to refer to baddies in general. Not mafia. Mafia is a specific faction.

there isnt a role in the setup who can universally detect any faction. Closest one is bloodhound (who gets town or not town). Each type of cop detects something.

She was shot before she reached the city gate.

With the spies in the group eliminated, the mob was able to carry out their original intent. They stormed into the mafia's headquarters, armed to the teeth, and forced them to surrender. Then they went to the cavern where the werewolves hid, and found them sleeping inside, in their human forms. They quickly arrested every single one of them.

And the aliens? Well, turns out it was just an internet hoax.

The mob was furious. They quickly changed from accusing one to another, and almost everyone was on the chopping block. What a day. What a game.

The problem is, when a mob is so disorganized, they tend to latch out at the most vulnerable member. In this case, a poor jailkeeper who kept just screaming some names, barely taking place in the discussion. But the mob thought that was malice, and they wanted blood.

Prologue

It was a beautiful city. A normal one, seemingly, for those who would be new to it. But only those who lived in it knew the nightmare that was that place. Because that city was the stage of a war between three factions: the local mob, who wanted to control all the crime in the city; a clan of werewolves seeking human flesh; and even an alien invasion. That war took more innocent lives every day.

Until one day, the people of the city decided this had to stop. They formed a mob, and went to war for their home. But, unknown to them, members of the three factions had infiltrated that mob. And so, they would have to figure out who to trust, in order to defeat the three factions and save their city.

But first, they had to figure out who killed one of the members of their group.

Dragon D. Luffy (Vanilla Townie - 0) was found dead.
