At this point, I have to squint and ask myself if DDL is frustrated in sprityo the PLAYER going over (rather than sprityo the TEAMMATE).

I grant that's a possibility, but I question why DDL achieved nothing else Day 1 besides attack S~V~S and defend sprityo. There's no engagement with anybody else, no trying to figure anybody else out, nothing.

DDL is making sprityo's innocence the impetus of his defense. At no point ever does DDL attempt to learn for himself whether sprityo is mafia or not, even after a pair of softball interactions. Instead, his move is to guilt other people into not voting sprityo.
