Re: MAD MAX: Day 2

If you're going to talk about me at least have me involved in it. Or you can also look at the reply I made earlier to wilgy (I think, either him or sloonei) about that exact post that you guys quoted. I won't stand for being downplayed for trying my best to contribute. (Or at least that's how I'm precieving it)

Re: MAD MAX: Day 2

@sloonei: well off the top of my head I can place Sloonei and JJJ in town with zebra following them. I don't have an opinion over either mac or Rico, and I don't think MP has done anything terrible outside of just being goofy. Other than that I haven't tried to deep think about anyone mostly due to the large amounts of text that appear between two people at a time. I'm essentially at "everyone is innocent until proven guilty" right now

Re: MAD MAX: Day 2

@sloonei: it appears INH was sorta in the game, trying to put out some kind of content as to not look useless/lurker suspicious. But then you started poking at his logic with questions and he basically got more and more defensive (and frustrated) as it went on until he did that large post on page 16.) overall I think you should cut him some slack and back off the previous day stuff and ask his opinions on something else rather than frustrate him more. I can see your side of the argument about him just parroting, but it's not enough to convince anything short of thinking INH is null or slightly scummy at worst

Re: MAD MAX: Day 2

We are currently in debate inception. Two people are "discussing" about their opinions of the actions of two other people who were arguing over eachother based off of something that happened awhile ago.

(But zeebs, I honestly have to go with JJJ on this whole spiel you two are having. Salty is much more believable than....well.....whatever point you're trying to make is.)

BUT ANYWAYS, THIS POST IS IRRELEVANT. MOVING ON

@Lorab, yes that is what I stated. Your point?
It was purely for jokes. I don't make teams in mafia. That's not how I roll. If someone wants to say they believe me to be town, so be it. But intentionally putting that comment out I would've assumed everyone would think as a joke. I mean, You meant it as a joke as well, right?

So as I had said, it looks "fishy" with fishy being synonymous to suspicious or any other word that would not be favorable to the person of question

I'd really like to see his explanation for his vote because right now it just rings as hollowly opportunistic.
Seconding Epi's response to this:

I think "opportunity" was the wrong word to use. I think a better word to describe it is, suspicious, or, coincidental.
sprityo wrote:I mean, hopping off/on a wagon at best last moment is always fishy
But I fail to see how Epi's "hopping off the bandwagon" is really fishy at all. He's moving his vote from the inevitable lynch wagon onto a player with no votes near the end of the day. That could be cause for suspicion in a completely different context, but this does not look anything like a player trying to distance themselves from the responsibility of a mislynch. There's no way to do that, and if this is Epi's attempt at such a maneuver (which I doubt is something he would do here anyway) then he did it in the least subtle way imaginable. This suspicion of Epi is what feels opportunistic to me.
So the thing JJJ quoted, it was more a comment I made, it really looks more of A stepping stone I was using to try and get prompts to talk more (which look where we are). But in the actual sense of things with what I was talking about. I was more talking about how if you jump on a wagon at the last second, you're either contributing to lynching a townie or in the case of lynching scum, possibly bussing your partner. So either output is not favorable and would draw suspicion. It's like wifom, where you never win.

"Hopping off" the wagon has a similar effect. You jump off a town lynch and it looks like you were trying to not look like you contributed to the lynch and were not in favor of it. And if you jump off a scum lynch it looks like you were trying to possibly save your buddy.

It's all hypothetical, but of course, possible situations. Perspectives.

The only other player that I have thought about is Sprityo, whom I gut read as bad.

I like your analysis of Rico. I'd like an answer from Rico as to why he thought to interject here. Not sure if this has been explained yet or not, but I'm not willing to go back and check.

Zebra, how would you respond to me voting Rico right now?

Sloonei, mind telling me the exchange that interested you most?

Explain if you would kindly

Elohcin's vote was also vaguely explained, and tacked onto an awkward backtrack defense of BWT (her previous vote).
im not sure about anyone else, but the yellow part alone looks.... not the best? i mean, at least personally, i wouldve rather had scotty and his lurker suspicion over someone who i cant talk to or get information from. at least at the current point in time

Procrastination is like 10x worse in mafia here as opposed to elsewhere. Especially in these bigger games because we can have upwards of 5+ pages per 24 hours to read and maybe analyze. (You guys are really active as a community in general)

In this game assuming you are a civ your job is to find bad guys and lynch them. Something you are utterly failing at right now both literally and figuratively.
My God, it's as if policy lynch is an alien concept to you.

there's no hunting in it

there's just the desire to remove the threat of you being bad again and activate your purging once more
Actually it's just that your idea of a policy lynch is dumb even excluding that I am your target.
Mic drop.

To summarize, the bulk of the Rico-Mac war (as entertaining as it is) didn't captivate me very much because I got both a gut baddie read of Rico and a gut civilian read of Mac well before the conflict reached its peak. In spite of the first post I quoted, after fully catching up I feel good about MP overall. Other civ reads include SVS, insertnamehere (nice still from Fire Walk With Me by the way), Elohcin, Neil/JJJ, and Sloonei. My only baddie reads as of right now are Rico and to a lesser extent Scotty, though mainly because there's less to go on with Scotty then there is with Rico. Anyone I haven't mentioned in this paragraph I don't have a confident enough read to say. Yet.

So I'm getting quite a bit more civ reads than usual this early in the game which is nice on the one hand, but on the other hand it makes me a little paranoid that the wool is being pulled over my eyes. I look forward to seeing how things unravel in the coming phases. :mafia:

Cheers folks, I'll be back in twelve hours or so.
(I managed to mess up the formatting but its zebras post)

My views go along the lines of what zebra is getting at here. I personally don't care for the whole thing/pissing contest of Mac and rico, in fact this is the only thing I'll say on the matter. I don't want to be asked questions over it or have any opinion on it mostly because I feel it's just filler for day 1. I have no care for how someone acts prievously. You can do whatever you want from game to game. Neil Hartley is a great example

Little opinion done with. On the topic of JJJ, I would honestly be more comfortable if he dropped the whole Neil thing cause when he is just being himself, I like his input a good deal.

I'm, that's all I got for now, I'll have to get back to you guys tonight after chow
