Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day 12

Well played everyone! I am so happy I was revived to take part in the endgame.

Looks like the baddies had a hard time anyway, being such a small and complicated group with lots of uncertainty. But I guess that was the same for town too.

SVS

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day 12

I can totally see Cavil having some sort of ability. I hope he stays dead if we lynch him.

I just feel like these few days has been rather good - we lynched two baddies in a row and are not as pressured as before by the ambiguity of the f5 and all that(unless you doubt me and Juliets... Though I can't speak for Juliets obviously) so I think the time is right.

Im voting John Cavil today. It will give us some more time to find the rest of the baddies too, as we are nowhere near a common suspect. Lots of people being debated on, I say we try lynching Cavil and spend some more cycles searching for the other baddies.

Vote John Cavil

A baddie who wants to keep the tempo the same.

Hmm...
What are the chances we haven't been lynching baddies the past few days?
But this tempo has resulted in the death of two baddies. With this way of going about things I am surprised they didn't take out a universal civ read. I don't know what people thought of Black Rock, but there are certainly players who have contributed more to the civ cause that they did not target.

It's bugging me more than it should.

What made you suspect that there is a 2:2 split among the resurrectees?
An educated guess based on what would be fair design. I can't imagine 3 baddies revived + the already fairly large number of original baddies would be fair, so a split seems reasonable to me.
I agree 3 baddies to 1 townie would seem unbalanced. But why not guess 1 baddie to 3 townies? If I had no information at all, that would be my guess. Not 2:2.

I can provide links to my own perspectives.

OA interactions with S~V~S

DrWilgy interactions with S~V~S

Dex's handling of his defense of DrWilgy pre- and post-resurrection

I'm not sure they make as much sense as team mates, but I think the suspicions hold individually.

3:1 would also be alright I guess, although it would be weird to cease all f5 baddie hunting right now.

I am also leaving to take part in a baptism(yay family time I guess) and I will see if I can make it here by the end of Sunday, which should also be EOD. I have chosen not to silence anyone - Dex was my biggest subject and I'm still going back and forth on Epi. I guess I could silence Daisy, but in the event that she is civ it would not be all that great. To be honest I am alright with giving the opportunity for everyone to offer input, regardless of alignment. We might catch someone red handed in the process.

Hmm. I looked at it.

You might be right. However, I'm not sure it is a good idea to even kill him. Like, he is not going to be of much disturbance anyways - we can work around his vote if need be. The only reason I'm worried if is he has night actions or other powers/benefits that he might use against us. We don't know if he has anything. I am more interested in going after the "real" baddies right now. We can lynch Cavil later imo.

This makes me look like I'm defending Cavil which is not the case. I just want to continue scumhunting for a little while longer.

I don't want to miss my night action, so who do you guys think would be a good person to send off to the brig? Assuming my power still works, but it's worth a shot.

And to explain my statement before that literally all of you misunderstood: I meant that I believe 2 of the f5 are aligned with Cavil and not independent. Not all of us, obviously. I took it as being implicit in the statement but I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about it.

And we actually got Cavil which is great! I still think Epignosis is bad though.

Numbers. One more question, and this applies to all four final five revived people, how many of the final five do you believe are likely Cavil-aligned? Just take a guess
I think it's 2/2, and I also believe the last final five has yet to die. The Final five are definitely aligned with Cavil and not independent I think.

I think Dex is aligned with Cavil and Athena/Epi. Given the events with Glorfindel/Boomer and us labeling Boomer as evil due to the lore barely leaves option for Epi to be civ. I just can't see him be, the two Sharons are dual and cannot be civ together. Using lore as an argument yet again seems bold but still something I could see mafia doing.

I believe some of the final five are evil - Im not sure who though. I am fine with Epignosis being the lynch today, as it would simply not make sense for him to be civ if Boomer was too. Golden ain't like that, right?

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Three

@JJJ

Nutellas tone sounded genuine and like a cornered civ to me. Her thoughts reminded me of how I sometimes feel when Im cornered as a civ. It resonated with me and I got fooled  In my head, she was an easy target for either misguided civs or cylons to pursue as she was already kind-of scrambling and barely any of her rebuttals gained her any ground. But oh well, she was bad in the end and I was wrong.

EBWOP

I had already written that last sentence above and forgot to erase the remnants of the old one. Oh well.
