Re: Firefly, The Game [GAME OVER]

I have to say I kind of put myself in the crosshairs but watching what happened because of my unintentional mistake and bait, it was great to watch that completely fall apart. I was laughing as I watched Civ, after Civ go down, and all the arguments. That was fun!~

For me its substance. She's got more posts to read into. She's kind of been all over the place from the get go in my opinion. But her behavior towards DDL just to dump them mainly based on what I feel is kind of very loose information. I'm not convinced that DDL is bad. And booting them from the crew kind of feels like a gambit to show poise. Get rid of the dead weight, but it also hurts her crew and her chances. So I donno. She's the only one that really stands out other than Wilgy and to me no activity isnt' enough.

Re: Firefly, The Game [Day 2]

So its time for me to weigh in I guess. I've been going over everyones that's on the Vote's posts. Here is my two cents:

Glorf - While I had initial suspicions of him initially, which was primarily founded on this focus of his meta. I do believe that he very well is a good player and not a baddie. He's been defensive of players, and his Captain and has only really lashed out when one of those was put in the hot seat. So I've swung this vote from red to green.

DDL - Though most people seem to think DDL is a baddie, I'm not entirely convinced. I've seen it swing either way so I am on the ropes with DDL but the way that DDL has reacted even despite his being ejected from his crew. This does not scream bad to me. So I'm again swinging my thoughts from Badish to good.

DrWilgy - Lurking in the shadows. Very low activity from what I've seen but most of what they have posted has not really carried much substance. I suppose the real life reason for inactivity should be considered. I'm on the ropes here. Earlier on they were pretty aggresive with some comments. One thing that stood out to me and still rings is "My Votes have gone to preventing a cowered from being Captain, I'll hold my 4th". This still resonates with me and has pushed my vote over to the bad side. I'm still curious why Wilgy would label Golden a Cowered as I Believe that is where that comment was directed. So... Yeah. And Silence for a long period from the 9th up until...?

DFaraday - Not very active. Mostly responsive to post but nothing that really stands out to me.

Kylemii - Wizard Stuff? Is this some kind of misdirect and avoidance of the Topics at hand? Has not really been helpful but has not hurt. Someone I'm watching to see where this goes as we move on. Leaning Bad.

Luna - Reading through your posts I didn't honestly see anything that stood out as bad up until you ejected DDL from your crew. I'm still not sure I understand why. I thought your handling of your crew pointed to good, but your comments to take in "Jaded" crew. Then when Challenged on it, you 180'ed and said it was a joke. Kind of Strange to me. Those two points combined have me thinking you hail from the dark side of things.

Lapluie... ? Not really here? LOL

Marmot - No real substance to posts until somewhat recently. The vote for Mac without reason kind of through me. I would be interested to know why you threw Mac Under the bus.

SpeedChuck - This suggestion to Lynch ships that have more crew while a good tactic for a win, I'm not sure if I can tell if it was a "Bad' or "Good" Suggestion. It could be both. Mostly seems to play devils advocate between posts.

This is all I've got so far from reading through things and following. Some of the most recent posts are not really analyized here. But yeah. Observations.

So I'm leaning on DrWilgy, and Luna to be honest. I would like other opinions on why I shouldn't vote for one of them or which one I should over the other?

That depends on the game and can be set by the poll maker. It used to be that all games had unchancheable votes, now almost none of them do.

Re: Firefly, The Game [Day 2]

I've been looking through DDL's Iso since I've seen a few that are hedging their bets on that train.

The only thing that stands out is there is a lack of real substance. Like they seem all over the place, helping one moment, defending in another. And rarely really lashing out at anyone accept maybe a couple of times. I'm curious if you guys have more information on why DDL is the focus of your attention. Maybe I'm missing something. Anyone else see anything substantial on DDL that hasn't been pointed out yet?

I just glanced over his ISO, and I still have a bad vibe about him. His contributive posts have been so far riddled with some good old fence-sitting. He went on about not liking the talks about Glorf, but ended up saying that he's someone we should look after.

Same thing about the Golden/I thing. Liking both posts, and feigning interest with a generic response to what could have been my motivation to not break the tie between Glorf/Golden.
So this is your "this is why we should lynch Sokoth" post? What else you got? This is pretty weak if you ask me. Just because I didn't come out with guns blazing and couldn't really find someone to latch onto to Wagon train into the stars you find it perfectly okay to just write me off. Nice. Hang on, let me go get my guns. I'll be right back with my own facts.

I'd like to see if you have something more substantial to back up and get a train going on me? Because right now this feels pretty weak to me.

There was a lot of talk about Day Zero Captain Vote manipulation – You along with a couple of others managed to play the “Tie Breaker” Game throughout the entire beginning of this. “I’m going to break the tie” came up more than once. When asked why you didn’t break the tie between Golden & Glorf you left it to a “Higher Power”. Really? Then you tried to play it off by removing your votes and distributing them to random other people, and you gave a weak sauce explanation. Then low and behind, blam you throw your votes around again. Manipulation much?
The flip flop on Golden was real in there. You drew him in because you “Thought his entrance was great, and then because of his antics later decided naaa he’s bad. So you go about railroading him for Captain, saying he’s “bad” essentially and then turn around and drop the hammer on someone else, and at the last minute. So happens to be me, because I didn’t provide you with any substantial substance to the conversation.
Then the pain train continues on Golden. You and him back and forth.
So now here we are coming into the next day and you just unload your vote without even a thought. On me? Throw some substance down, lets see what you got. Because from where I’m sitting, your entirely aggressive, going after people with half assed Suspicions and your arguments barely hold water. Seems like your trying to drive something.
Also looks bad from the perspective that we already lost a crewman, and now your hunting for more on my Captains Ship to weaken his position. We have a solid crew, so I can understand you coming after us specifically. But please. Bring something more substantial.

SO believe me when I say that I will be watching you. And if I continue to see you go on this course your name will most certainly be at the top of my list for a vote. Your lucky your not on it now as I would most certainly campaign to end you.

Don't take my lack of activity or silence for what you think it might be. I'm watching, learning, and I will respond once I have a case. I didn't have one that was solid before. You've made one for me, and I will admit its not 100%, but you just keep digging. You'll end up in that hole deeper than you are now.
Eh, it might be weak but it's something.

Your "own" facts seem to be wrong. You've actually twisted the whole timeline to fit a false narrative. That's not a good look Sokothqulq. I never once switched my votes after explaining why I didn't break the tie between Golden and Glorfindel. I'm not sure where you got that. I played the tie-breaker with less than an hour left in the phase, so I'm not sure where you're getting "low and behold bam you throw votes around again".

Time-line of my votes D0:

Vote Golden and Turnip Head.
Vote people without votes.

With less than 1 hour left,

Vote Luna, TH and DH. Leaving Glorfindel and Golden.

Well, yes it happened to be you because you were one of the people I wanted to lynch. Why? Because you're bad. I couldn't care less if you lost a crewman, I'm not here to lynch from every-ship in order. I'm here to lynch who I believe is bad. I'm not sure where you're going with this angle. It's a non-argument.

Oh, I brought something substantial all right. I have to thank you though, for giving me even more susbtance. This post is awful. You don't even defend yourself, nor your positions on Glorf and Golden/Nova for which I suspect you for. You attack me, and my play last day phase. Your only defense about your play is "this is weak sauce" lol. You're intent isn't to defend yourself, but to make me backdown and attempt to discredit someone who is suspecting you. That's a very wolfy thing to do.

Good luck with your watchlist! I'll be here with my vote on you, and I'll make sure you get lynched.
LOL Sure, sure. Maybe your right. But I stand by what I said. You flip flopped. You said you did in your posts. People can go back an ISO your posts and see the conversation as it progressed and figure it out. It's what I did when I took a look at you. Maybe I missed something in there but I don't think so. You say I didn't defend myself. I just did. Twice now. You want info, I don't have anything too substantial. Which is why I have not said anything. I generally don't unless I have good cause, or I'm just trying to stay active in the conversation.

You want my position on Golden and Glorf. I don't have a solid one as I said.

Glorf has given me no reason to go after him yet other than His aggressive Nature at the start. I also said that you shouldn't fall for "Meta". That's how you get dead. LOL I stand by that. I'm watching to see what else he does before I make a decision on him. Why report a bunch of stuff if I don't feel like its worth it yet.

Golden - I'm not ready to make a call on him either. I felt like he was mostly defending himself. But again, someone I'm watching.

You are the first person to come after me, why would I not retaliate in some way? Who wouldn't? You did when I taunted you, which proves the point. Sure, go ahead and campaign for my Lynch. its your wasted vote. You have me at the Advantage, I'm on the poll your not. Might as well kick me while you can.

1) I danced around nothing. I’ve been direct about what I’ve been seeing. It’s your choice whether to engage in my suspicions of you or not, I don’t have to ask a specific question of you or @mention you to get your attention. That’s a completely arbitrary standard you’ve decided to apply, just to paint me as not genuine.

2) The motivation is clear to me - to control who is on what crew, who’s available for a nk, who’s available for a lynch. I’m far less controllable. If I pick an entirely town crew, and prevent them being lynched, then I get a strong advantage over the mafia. If I pick well, I can effectively prevent myself being nked.

3) You say you saw it coming... I could tell. That’s why you came at me the way you did to begin with. I called you out and instead of addressing my suspicion, you went as hominem - going after my choice of grammar instead of the accusation. There’s nothing much to your reasoning for your votes. Your turn on me was because apparently you liked me early and liked me less later, but you didn’t manage to give a single reason for either of those things. You’ve been waiting for me to vote before you do much of anything, just so you can defend the vote instead of actually engaging in the original suspicion too deeply.

Your response post then is trying to make out like my logic doesn’t track when you’re all over the place.

I particularly like this sentence from yo: “you’re getting too hung up on the captain votes, when I don’t think it should be a priority.” Of course you wouldn’t think it should be a priority if you’re reading it down. But I hate that deeply. If you don’t think the mafia tried to manipulate that vote in some way... we’ll i just don’t believe you.

Day zero and day one is where mafia slip and think they can get away with it. They protect their own, help each other out and pass it off as unimportant. The very fact you set out to overtly break the tie and then did it with absolutely no post history to back it up is part of why I find yours in particular the most suspicious - because what mafia would be so bold, huh? It has its own inherent wifom.

As for me wanting to be captain - on that one, at least, I’ll admit it’s NAI. I’d want it either way. But I wanted it here because of how badly day zero reeked of manipulation.
1) Oh, you danced around it all right. I engaged your suspicions twice, and you've asked me questions every time. You dropped it every time afterwards. I can't do anything more than that.

2) Nice then riddle me this, why did I not break the tie between you and Glorfindel if you think me and my team were dreading having you as captain? While you're at it, elaborate on my motivation on voting you first, then voting for people with no votes, and finally going with 3 of the 5 tied.

I agree that it's weird but I don't agree that it is suspicious/bad. I think you're being pretty opportunistic trying to paint it as such, that's why I saw this coming after your 2 mentions of my votes.

3) Is explaining my thought process on how I voted, not addressing your suspicions? I would think that is one way to ease them, since you think there are ulterior motives behind them. Nah, I'm not going after your choice of grammar, you're just full of it.

I never said the Mafia never had tried to manipulate the votes, nor elect one of theirs. I said that what I did was in no way some grandiose manipulation, as you'd like to paint it. I think it's pretty dumb to think so.

Lol, yeah sure. The Day Zero mafia manipulation of captain votes, and Nova the bold. Thank god you're here to save us from it.
Good Rebuttal. Golden was starting to have me convinced a little, but your response does give a lot to consider.
But it brings to mind a question still in my mind, would you vote for Glorf over Golden to set Glorf up as a Patsy to misdirect because of his track record of being a "Good guy"?

It only takes one time for someone who you normally think is good to turn out bad, or vise versa. In all this I've not really seen any solid proof that would point to Glorf as being a baddie, not yet anyhow.

DH... I mean Negan.. Have you settled on a job for us yet? I'm hungry to put some money in my pocket book.

C’mon Dan! You of all people should understand the importance of protocol on a spaceship!!

There are rules here! You can’t just go dropping torpedoes on people or shooting prisoners!

Hello Luna! I look forward to seeing you in action. Its been a while for me, usually busy with Work, School, and other Role Playing things. But I'm excited to be here for this!

Re: Firefly, The Game [Day 0]

Only because I think turnabout is fair play, I've already selected a couple of choice people as Captain's because well. Yeah. They torture me on a regular basis. And a random person because why not. Time to get down to business...
