i think he's town. i think that lime is the type of wolf that's more likely to go with the flow and try to look agreeable/"pro-town" on a surface level, whereas his play here has been individualistic in a way that i found towny. he still hasnt let go of his wolfread on nutella even though most of the thread has moved on from it, and there's a level of conviction behind his posts that i think he would have trouble replicating as a wolf
Why are you townreading nutella?

Dyslexicon wrote: Sun Nov 28, 2021 2:19 am @leetic Why did you decide to vote Jimmay in the end? You argued against it shortly before you did vote, iirc?
@leetic
It was him or anne and I thought the anne wagon was wolfy (and turned out to be right)

Also, I wasn't expecting scum Jay to be so lame, especially after he has done much better as scum in the past. Oh well, that was probably the one time when I nearly fell for "too scummy to be scum"

Anyway, these past two pages were a dumpster fire, and I believe scum is trying to disrupt our towncore. The anne wagon is still awful and the spf one isn't much better. Do better guys

You're hedging on two potential wagons now. What is your GTH on Anne and Wilgy, and MR and Axehole for that matter?
nutella is right about hedging, at least in the current culture.

M, T, T, T gun to head
Jay is a smart enough player to know that this would look really bad on him if either Wilgy or Axehole flipped scum. I'd say that this is currently the strongest piece of evidence in their favors.

Re: Philosophy Mafia 2: Electric Boogaloo

I'll do a trustfall exercise, stating my biggest reason(s) for townreading each slot:

anne: Jay preferred her over Wilgy and Axehole to die, and since he seemed unconcerned with them dying a team of all four seems very unlikely
cassandra: Main reason Jay died, progression is similar to mine and ilario's
DrWilgy: Jay seemed unconcerned with the possibility of him dying, MR is a decent shot, has been at least stepping up his effort this phase
Dyslexicon: Um, has at least voiced some suspicion of nutella, who I think is scum?
Esooa: Seemed unfamiliar with game mechanics when she first posted, she may have been more caught up if she was in wolfchat
falcon45ca: Cleared by Mac in what I think is too much of a gambit to be w/w
iaafr: Ballsy vanilla claim, may have been unlikely to take off Jay vote at EoD if he knew Jay was scum
ilario: Is mod confirmed town to me
Lime Coke: Good looking EoD, similar progression to me and ilario
MacDougall: Would have probably used his clear earlier if scum, decent looking Jay interactions
NotAnAxehole: Jay seemed unconcerned with the possibility of him dying, 640 seems like it'd be too obvious for a partner interaction, hunting for a team of 3 rather than 4 may be a derpclear
nutella: Some of her EoD posts concerning iaafr would look weird if anne flips town, which seems likely
staypositivefriend: Did end up voting JJJ, has a somewhat similar progression as me and ilario

Overall, I think it says something how little reason I have to townread Dyslexicon

Firstly, that would be NAI at best. Secondly, and this goes to everyone, I'd like it if we'd stop speculating about Sloonei's reasons for inactivity/needing a sub. I remember people doing that kind of thing to me when I had to sub out due to a mental health crisis, and I did not like that one bit, especially when people were still bringing it up more than a year after the fact. Besides, Esooa gives us more than enough to work with.

nutella, Esooa, Dyslexicon

Wilgy and Axehole are in the periphery of my PoE, I wouldn't vote them today unless something major happens. I think the latter currently has more going for him in terms of towniness. Mac and SPF would only be in contention if one of nutella/Esooa, one of Wilgy/Axehole, and Dyslexicon are all resolved.

I'm gonna tell you why this post is really fucking awful then leave

You're doing the same shit people do every game someone subs in where you think because my reads aren't the equivalent of other day 2-esque reads they're bad, and it's stupid

I never shaded Mac and to even try to call it that is AWFUL

I COMPLETELY VALIDLY said his interactions that Iaafr quoted are not good for him

Mac is literally one of the best people at making good w/w interactions I know

He has literally made a partner die because he randomly RT'd a red on them and they responded poorly

I did not hedge on my Nutella defense, I explained my thoughts irt to the post

Partially too because it was something I was feeling earlier, and then remember that's just a part of Nutella, and it's probably towny overall

The "Nutella is partnered with you" thing is really just pointless

Thnx tho, later now
It's kind of the opposite, some of your "reads" make it seem like you were here for longer than an hour

I still really need to conserve posts, I'm still in my fire mode from last EoD

whats up with this though
idk read nutellas iso and control f jay in the middle pages

to me it reads like somebody thinking everybody finding jay off was within the tolerance for his recent towngame meta and overcorrecting

like she said

as opposed to a scum partner trying to powerwolf jay out of contention

this exactly yes

i could explain my history with reading jay if i have time but this is the gist
But the thing is both you and Jay felt off the same way by being much hedgier than your normal selves. Why were you like that at EoD? And more importantly,

MacDougall - Good-looking interactions with Jay, Mac's a good enough player that he can fake them though. Still, I think the claim is more likely town than not.
iaafr - A bit all over the place at EoD, I have mixed feelings about him jumping off Jay's wagon, but there's still a lot of reasons to townread him
staypositivefriend - Probably my least confident of my town reads, she's towny but nothing that's lock town and is a little hedgy for my liking

DrWilgy - Like Axehole, Jay seemed unconcerned with the possibility of him dying, and I can kind of see why MR would be a good shot from a town perspective. Still, there's nothing in his ISO that's particularly towny.
Sloonei/whoever his replacement is - Largely here due to PoE and a couple of Jay interactions that look not the best,

You made a couple posts claiming a red check but you had literal no conviction in it, and then you left for a bit to return with a random wall post, just feels mostly fake to me right now, and like giving thoughts rather to look productive rather than having them

Yeah, it was a gambit, and I was playing Smash with a friend so I couldn't post right away. I've been collecting my thoughts in BTSC for the better part of the last 48 hours. Why are you judging my post by these technicalities rather than what's actually in them?

Also, can someone who suspects anne tell me why they think JJJ would bus her? Also, what do you make of JJJ's hedginess the last time he was in thread, do you think he would have acted the same way if he thought that there was a considerable risk that one of his teammates would have gone down?
jay's stance on anne was quite weak/shrug, can easily see it as a nonchalant bus as her wagon took off, might need to reread it though
Why would Jay bus anne when he could have easily taken Wilgy or Axehole down? He had a GTH town on those two for some reason

And even if his stance on anne was noncommittal, it was still the closest thing to a suspect he posted in like the entire thread

Don't be a smart ass, answer my questions

Why would you think a vote on an inactive is optimal for today?
I think they're a bit above rand mafia, partly because I have some confident town reads, partly because I thibk a busy town sloon at least tries to put one or two reads out

So I wanna kill them
I think he has some scummy interactions with MR, what do you think of that slot?
I'm a notably horrific radishes reader
I do find it odd that when Sloonei was trying to catch up, he was talking with Radishes rather than a more active player. It almost felt like a planned entrance to me

He didn't show up until an hour ago so he missed the main development. I had to get his attention so he could defend Anne, as he was apparently unaware she had votes before that time

Not the biggest fan of Sloonei's contributions and he has partner equity with MR but should we really vote an inactive? That is never a good idea D1
Woops, you have different ideas about playing mafia, now I gotta kill you. Sorry bud, those are the rules
