I think if I'm a wolf and JPIC and Wilgy are both town, I yeet JPIC. I just think he's the better player. That's not a lock. I scumread JPIC anyhow though.
This is all WIFOM though.

Nobody is asking the important question of whether the wolves controlled last phase and from my perspective, yes, they did. We've had three mischops in a row and I'm still being suspected - that sounds pretty great for the wolves, I'm the designated misyeet for D4.

Don't be surprised when I flip town and our town core have led us to another mischop. Why is nobody suspecting the people who crossvoted with each other?
Because it’s such level one play to cross vote.

None of this feels townie. Like that’s your best lead? Cross voting?
And yet that’s likely what happened. If wolves cross vote then who cares who gets yeeted as long as it’s not one of them.

What if everybody gets at least one vote. Well there you go, another town yeet.

I ask you this: did wolves control the votes or not?
Likely based on what?

If everybody gets one vote, whoever placed the last vote is wolf claiming because that action allows wolves to yeet the player of their choice. What does that have to do with crossvoting?

Wolves controlled their own votes. Consensus two players to receive 0 votes were you and Wilgy, and that’s what we got. So no, wolves didn’t control the votes yesterday, just the yeet between you and Wilgy. They chose Wilgy.
Like we were in a world where the only way we ever yeet a wolf is if we correctly pick out two wolves on D3 after yeeting townies on D1 and D2 and where Dr Wilgy is town.

So basically, a world where a wolf yeet is just fucking impossible to begin with.

And his belief is that in this world where a wolf yeet is never going to happen, wolves cross vote and tie themselves together to avoid yeet at all costs.

Absolute nonsense.

[VOTE: Justplayingitcool] aubergine
...

How? If the wolves crossvote it's literally fucking impossible for us to have enough protection to ensure that a wolf is on the chopping board.
A wolf wasn’t on the chopping board anyway unless somebody decided to vote Wilgy.

Because he’s roughly confirmed as vanilla and there are other consensus townreads that presumably have abilities.

Plus maybe reads are being taken into account.

So I ask again. Is Mac shot because he’s right and wolves don’t want him to say why? Or is Mac shot because he’s wrong and wolves want us to sheep him?

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 4

Where the heck is LC's claim? Like where have we gotten the idea that LC specifically caused the mana thingie to go to HK instead of me?

LC acted ignorant to me not getting the leaf from Enrique.

The main thing I remember about LC's play is that he had the same reasoning as me re: giving 6 mana doesn't make Epi town AND that he then went after Epi, who had just claimed mason with dead Marmot, who had flipped mason.

It's all mixed signals, ya know?

Bad.

Epi is confirmed town for being Marmot's mason.

My actions have lead to me being a consensus townread. I think HK and Enrique have been quite townie. Like I think they're trying to solve things.

The problem is I have fuck all of a read on 112, Falcon, Urist, LC, Tony/Dunya, JPIC or you/Guillo. Like JPIC looks the worst and Urist looks the best and Epi likes Guillo but between me missing early stuff and some of those slots coasting, it's just....not entirely clear where the wolves are in that 7 player POE. And that's assuming I haven't been pocketed.

Can we get @dunya to unvote since she’s no longer in the game.

Also, I think Enrique is moderately townie and not actually in the bottom 2.

Oh, you’re Dunya. Okay.

Epi is confirmed town as Marmot’s mason.

Sheep my reads that Mac and HK are obvious town. HK thinks your slot is town. Mac suspects it. LC and JPIC are probably most consensus suspects but there’s not a real strong case there.

We haven’t yeeted a wolf so we’re not in the best spot.

Why should you be in the towncore?

Does anyone in the towncore townread you?

You’re not a top suspect for me but I don’t have a townread on you either.
I’ve been counting on you specifically since the start of the day...
Great, and if you’re a wolf and we try to yeet you, you change your vote to me to “self preserve” and then yeet me via tiebreak even though there’s no reason whatsoever for me to be anywhere near the chopping block today.

I don’t want you watching my back. I want someone I can trust to do it.

Jackofhearts2005 wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:48 pm The only way this is ever a mafia yeet is if the player with 0 votes is voting for a wolf.

If the player with 0 votes is a townie, they will at best tie with whoever they are currently voting for if they self preserve. Even if that player is a wolf, wolves will tie break into the townie with 0 votes.

If the player with 0 votes is a wolf and they are the only player voting for a townie, they will remove their vote, forcing a tie with a townie and tiebreak will yeet a townie.

If the player with 0 votes is a wolf and they are the extra vote, they will cause a 1 vote across the board tie, resulting in the town yeet of whoever they fucking feel like.

The only way this setup ever yeets a wolf is if we set it up so that the player with 0 votes is also voting for a wolf so that the only player they can self preserve onto is a wolf.

This voting setup is INCREDIBLY wolfsided.
Which btw is outting.

My plan potentially yeets a wolf and red peeks a second wolf. Any other plan literally always yeets a townie.

So look for poe players that reject my plan, feigning generic stubbornness.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 3

Town core (Epi, Urist, Mac, Jack, HK) should vote for each other in a round.

Poe should vote for each other.

Towncore may accept other players into the towncore (or rather, the “never yeet today” list) by adjusting formation. Ie moving from A->B->C->A to A->B->C->D->A.

Any poe player who insists on voting in the towncore gains heavy suspicion for ensuring a 0-0 tie for two players prior to any self preserving action. Any player who ensures a 1-1-1-1etc tie with all players is considered an outted wolf.

Poe can further be bullied into yeeting who we want.

Again, today is incredibly likely to be a town yeet. We should do everything we can to ensure it is either in the poe or 100% outting for a wolf player.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 3

Literally the only player that disagrees with this strategy is a wolf that wants to try and yeet a consensus townie.

Even if you disagree with me on who the towncore is, you wouldn’t want to vote for a consensus townie you don’t townread anyhow.

And if you disagree so strongly that you think we should yeet say, Mac, then fucking make a case for that instead of bitching about how I don’t townread you.

Move your votes to someone more suspicious.

You're not in charge of town cred assessments bucko
I am. I’m Gon, town leader.

If you’re town, you’ll see it’s reasonable to not have poe players voting for the towncore.

If you’re town and you trust a player, you should want to protect them. You should want a steady handed townie voting for them.

If you’re town and you could get yeeted, you should want the ability to self preserve by removing your vote from another player in the poe instead of being forced to self preserve against a consensus townread or just die.

I don't understand what you're saying here
I’m saying a 3rd or forth vote on a confirmed townie is dumb. The goal is to have exactly 1 player with 0 votes. We should never need anyone to have more than 2 votes and only one player should have more than 1 vote.

Btw, and this is aimed at everyone, scummy players need to be voting for scummy players and town consensus players need to be voting for town consensus players.

Most players will only have 1 vote on them. Suppose JPIC is the only vote for me and about to get yeeted. If he’s a wolf, he’ll switch his vote to coin flip with a consensus townread.

Ergo, wolfiest players need to be voting for the poe or the extra vote (as JPic currently is, being the second Epi vote) in order to limit the damage they can do with a switch.

I’m 90% sure today will be a townie yeet and 70% sure a wolf self outs to make it so.
I apologise for voting a near enough confirmed town
I’m saying it’s a suboptimal townie move and going “I totes trust the mechanically confirmed townie” is lip service I could imagine a wolf engaging in.
