I have you, Rondo and Creature cleared. Creature is cleared to a slightly lesser extent, but I doubt I'd consider him until F3, and maybe not even then.

POE is finger, Boq and Nate. Nate is the most suspicious of the three.

Yesterday I was townreading Boq/Jay/Lucy and adding one of Fingers/Creature (because I didn't think they were w/w) to get 4 town, leaving a POE of Marmot/you/Rondo/(the other of Fingers/Creature). I was most interested in Marmot but nobody else seemed to be. And at that point leading up to EOD the other wagons were Jay/Boq/Lucy, my townreads. So I switched to you both because you were in my POE and because you were in a few other POEs as well; off-hand you were POEd by Boq, Lucy, Rondo, Marmot, Fingers, and not all of those could be wolves even if I was completely wrong about my townreads.

Talk to me about your Jay townread, please. What was it about him that so convinced you he was town that you would vote to save him?

I've been townreading him all game, so it wasn't really a change. But I thought the Boq/Jay interaction on D3 was t/t. More towny on Boq's end, but I also agreed with his read that it was a good look for Jay, which supported my existing townread there. So D4, Boq and Jay were kind of my starting points for building a town core. But the gamestate was pretty dead and nobody was really solving together the first half+ of the day, so I decided to actively treat those two as town and try to solve with them and see if anything shook out (especially building a further town core). Boq was game, Jay didn't really engage with it.

What about Boq/Jay on D3 looked T/T to you specifically? Just the "olive branch" thing?

Why did Ender/Dizzy's flips not shake your view of that at all?

I dunno how hard Jay would be in anti-spew at that point. I weigh D1/D2 stuff a lot more than D3 and onwards, because around D3 it became clear that Jay wouldn't last to the end of the game. Jay was a massive wagon D3 and a couple of people said (including in legacies of Dizzy/Ender) that we should always turbo him D4 if Ender flips town.

(This is why I am particularly suspicious of people trying to start counterwagons to Jay on D4.)

Yes. Many Syndicate players have their online status permanently hidden, myself included, so as to discourage angleshooting based on online timing.

I guess it's true that I don't know if the other two wolves would just slap strong townreads onto Jay like that. They have to have known that he would go over at some point, especially if he was going to force a tie and out himself. So going all in on protecting Jay probably wasn't the mafia play.

I think it is very likely that one of them is wolf at least. I don't know who I would look at for the third if your theory is correct though. Maybe finger.

Was directly responsible for a 2-vote Alison wagon that would have allowed Jay to force a tie if lucy hadn't called it out at the last second. The person who most strongly suspected him was killed in the night.

I can't remember Jay's stance on finger. I was pushing finger until Dizzy showed me the finger "sense of smug superiority" post, which struck me as townie enough that I gave finger a pass for that day (D3). The following day (D4), I didn't push her at all, because I wasn't going anywhere other than Jay after the D3 EOD.

Facts:

Jay locked the thread at the deadline exactly. Therefore Jay was online at the deadline.

Jay was holding his vote and there were two 2-vote wagons. Jay could have sniped either of them at the last minute and forced a tie to make us nokill, which is equivalent to a misexe in this game state (as we would be in F8 with 3 mafia alive, which forces us to sleep again, giving mafia two townies dead).

Jay was not posting for the last parts of EOD.

It follows that Jay was pretending to be afk and going for the last second snipe tie. Lucy and Rondo both denied him this by unvoting their 2-vote wagons at the very last second, which directly sabotaged Jay's attempt to save himself and gave town a free kill on a mafia.

Creature is also cleared for stacking on Jay and ensuring his wagon was three votes instead of two. He could have easily remained afk but popped in at 20 minutes to EOD to seal the deal.

lucy and Rondo are outed town. Creature likely is as well.

I think Dizzy was pretty pushable until yesterday, so sure, maybe he could be killed if all of us are town, but there's also the seanize kill

I think it's fair to say the Seanzie kill points there. I was curious why you thought the Dizzy kill points there too.

I might have misspoke or miswritten my post. My intention was always to clear you if Ender was wolf, because of the very same rationale that you later quote, re: you are supporting Ender's rival. Conversely, if Ender is town, then you look scummier because you sided against him.

Yes, I sided against Ender too. I am privileged enough to know that my suspicion came from a townie place. I am attempting to figure out who else alongside me on the wagon had bad intentions.

I have not pressed you that much today because a lot of this analysis goes out the window if Jay is also town. I am/was working under the presumption that Ender/Jay is a difference check, and have acted accordingly. If I was wrong about this, then many of my reasons to suspect you aren't as strong. (eg. your towncase on Jay is a lot less scummy in a town Jay world) At any rate I think I am always voting out Jay before you just on pure scum equity.

His explanation was acceptable, if he was going for an overlap approach. I don't know why he couldn't have done it slightly earlier (eg. he could have overlapped Mac and Seanzie's reads yesterday), but he seemd a little busy D3 so I guess it makes sense.

I don't know what to make of the hostility. Gun to head, I don't think it's scummy, as a mafia Rondo would be fairly deep here and wouldn't want to make waves or make enemies. I'd like him to explain it more, though, because it seemed to come out of nowhere.

It hasnt failed me yet. Dunya called all the wolves day 1 and I just sheeped her reads and pushed them till we won the game (I forget the game, please dont ask me which one). Macs reads are way off this game so I am going for a holistic collective approach (Slash sheep Ender because it works out that he is suspicious of the same people funnily enough). Town can have the right gut read where everyone feels funky about the same person as long as you get a large enough pool over a long period of time you can get some good results. Plus voting doesnt lie. You have to plant your feet and say "this person is bad" (which is why I dont like Lucy's sleep and Boq's no vote because I see it as a cop out but I am trying not to just see it as alignment indicative) so eventually youll have to defend the fact you flipped town.

There was a time yesterday when Alison was a primary candidate alongside Jay (and possibly Ender too at the time), and her wagon fell off in place of Ender's. I'm not sure if there's anything significant about that, but it's plausible given that Ender was probably always going to be easier to elim than Alison.

My memory was that it was a 4-way tie (two votes each) between me, Ender, Jay, and Creature. Creature was definitely being pushed less than the three of us, though.

I was receiving heat and I think I was definitely a prime candidate until I argued that I had no reason to give finger a pass as scum and people agreed with that argument. Wagons mostly coalesced towards Ender/Jay after that at my urging, with some holdouts on Creature.

I no longer buy that read. It was based on a misconception of how they felt about each other on D2.

And anyway since then they have gone at each other hard enough that I don't think they are bussing.

If I die tonight:

Ender W flip - Jay is in charge. I suspect lucy as stated. Would clear Rondo. Finger is still very much on the table given Ender/Boq tried to clear her. Dizzy is probably town despite this, he has been townie and shown enough consideration towards Ender W worlds despite repping a Jay tunnel.

Ender V flip - I have no idea why the fuck I died, read my ISO to find out what read I have that might make scum panic to that degree. Probably just put Dizzy in charge in that universe and let him figure it out. In a vacuum I'd say Jay wolf, Boq wolf, maybe Marmot (given that he spent most of his EOD voting me and Ender). But figure out why I was killed in that situation I guess. I don't think it's likely.

Unfortunately it is NAI for Creature. I have misexed him countless times for this attitude. I wish he wouldn't be such a doomer all the time but I think it is just a part of his personality.

I exaggerated it a little bit, obviously a red flip is pretty good news for us regardless.

I think enough people have shielded Creature, softly or otherwise, that it's not immediately obvious who his teammates are. I'd start by clearing the people on his wagon, no other clear immediately jumps to mind.

Another way to put it is that Ender or Jay flipping either alignment means that I know for sure who I'm going to lockvote D4. I don't actually know who I'd end up voting if Creature is red.

I don't have a map of Creature interactives/associatives on the back of my hand. In the hypothetical world he flips red I'd ISO him + ask you to produce the posts which you think unalign you from him and if you really are spewed clear I'll see it.
