good game! apologies for slanking during the last couple of days, but i'm happy with this outcome

this was my first game on the syndicate, and i really enjoyed it here. thanks for being so welcoming

gonna apologize for slanking incredibly hard over the last week or so. i'll try to kick it into gear a little bit so that i can help win the game w/u all. i want to make sure the POE we have is accurate and not missing anyone

it just seems like meaningless speculation to me, though. we know nothing about the magpie and to assume that it inherently has 3p equity is again, an assumption based off of wishful thinking. the same goes for poison's role - it makes sense if poison's role could be 3p, but i feel the same way about nearly every player here. judging 3p equity by roleclaims just feels flimsy to me

we should basically be treating like this we just entered a daystart game with one mafia who has no partners

true, but since the majority of the scumreads i outed in this game were mafia, you know for a fact that i gave you my real reads, and pushed on them. if my strategy was to self-preserve, then i would absolutely obfuscate my reads and pressure people that i didnt actually suspect

The idea that there is only one possible strategy that you could follow as a 3p doesn't hold any weight at all with me, sorry.

there isnt only one strategy i could follow as 3p, but my point is that my strategy this game would be diametrically opposed to how a 3p strategy should be. the fact that nobody believes that i am not 3p is proof of that

so, how the hell do we hunt for 3p?

the strongest argument i can provide in favor of me not being 3p is the fact that i have townsided INCREDIBLY hard. i hardpushed on nearly all of the mafia, and in my position as a 3p, i would want to have the mafia around for quite a long time so that i don't get steamrolled when they all get eliminated. i would NEVER participate in a steamrolling of the mafia team like i did as 3p if my sole motivation was self-preservation. i would stoke paranoia and tear people apart

you can not read my game w/a straight face and tell me you believe that i had a 3p strategy in mind

@mac - do you think it's in juliets scum meta for her to be able to fake a reaction to alison's scum claim like she did? that paired w/her genuine frustration over the tutuu lynch just screams town to me. i will have egg on my face if i am wrong but i just do not see her being mafia, and she's not in my POE pool

i've been pretty lazy in this game recently, largely because i shifted to autopilot when the game became focused on mechanics instead of scumhunting. granted, i could be doing more to scumhunt myself, but i've definitely been on autopilot mode

my interactions w/all of the flipped scum should confirm me as town. if youre hunting for mafia, i should not be part of your POE at all. if you think im 3p, that's harder to argue against, but finding the last mafia should be the most important priority today

what is specific about the magpie role that makes it have 3p equity? if i assume that mac is magpie, why should i be 3p reading him?

i'm in between a rock and a hard place in that i actually have no idea who the 3p is, because i can't hunt for them like i'd be able to hunt for other scum
