Re: Severance [Evening Two]

wind my wonderful and precious friend

"not helpful to town" is literally what "agenda" IS

that is literally the wolf agenda! to do antitown things and muddy the waters to where wolves are town and town are wolves and anyone's behavior could be anything! if that's not "agenda" then what does agenda mean to you??

And importantly I don't think there are many worlds where ted actually goes over there. If anything I feel like Rondo was more likely to go over, in a world where Robyn comes back. That may be my respect for mac talking.

I feel like wolf!TSP would have better options to push than Abbi and me because neither of us were wagons or even scumread by anyone else at the point when TSP decided he thought we were scum. Idk though, am I giving too much leeway to him for that? I just think they were kind of outlandish pushes since they would do pretty much nothing to further a wolf's agenda.

On the topic of Bereft, I will take a look at him again. But if you think Ted is towny, you think the wagons were T/T yesterday, i guess. And then you had Bereft and Rondo who were both pushing Ted rather than Robyn... You think if they're both wolfing, it was just for show? Because if Ted is town, there shouldn't have been a preference for who wolves would rather push over, unless they thought that Robyn would make a strong comeback on D2 (which I guess would make sense).
Well, the level 0 read is that Bereft and TSP are wolves, Bereft was getting buried by Robyn and everyone generally, and then TSP came in to break up the momentum and say "the obvious wolf yeet is bad, it can't be that easy day 1, why don't we vote [one of the towniest players and a social player] instead, see they must be wolves because they DON'T have votes, let's play opposites land where wolfy people are towny and towny people with no pressure must be wolfy!"

I don't think Ted is towny exactly but I think he is less scummy than my main suspects and doesn't fit in many teams with them.

Saying "ted/robyn were the wagons yesterday" is i think a very inaccurate description of the day. Bereft, Dizzy and Gira were all serious wagons at points as well, arguably Rondo too. If you want to look at only the late day then it's more like "Robyn vs [resolving ted vs rondo]" and I could not hazard a guess where wolves would fall on that. I don't think Bereft/Rondo is out of the question. I think it's more important to look at the... how to explain it. The flow of the thread rather than the votals on paper when looking at wagonomics like that. Like Bereft only ever had, like, 3 actual votes on him but mid day it felt like that was a solid wagon that was very likely to go over and at eod people would pile on unless something big happened. That is what I mean by spiritual votes. Although mac disagreed with me on that. But still that's how I think.

Re: Severance [Evening Two]

Understood. <3

Yeah Dizzy is the only person in that list I think can be a wolf, and while the chances of that ARE high they're not 100% or near enough that I can see any weight in that. Wagon purity reads are, in my experience, I typed "useless and antitown" but on reflection there are times where I have gone "this wagon absolutely never goes over without multiple wolves on it". Highly overused though. Let's go with that. And in a case like this where the major events of the push are "Mac started it and pushed hard" and then "robyn bailed from the thread" and they're both flipped town, I don't see any particular indications of when wolves would go on it.

So at this point we have to have the talk about AtE and emotional reading. In my old haunts, we were a bunch of theatre kids and we learned and enjoyed the game with grand gestures and hyperbole, with the understanding that none of it was serious or to be taken out of game, and actual emotions like frustration at gamestate or emotional reads were not to be read into. So some of that slips in from time to time. I like to be flowery. Especially when I am looking for ways to talk about things while also respecting norms and policies of different environments and playgroups.

I am not happy about what happened with Robyn. I spent the first 24 hours trying my hardest to prevent *exactly that sort of thing* from happening. Then it happened anyway, and I did not stop it, because I did not believe town Robyn would gghana me like that. I bear some responsibility, mac bears some responsibility, robyn bears some responsibility, everyone bears some. It happened and we have to deal with it, move on and kill the wolves.

I think there's a decent chunk of people are being actively wolfy, and I think the game is relatively easy and the wolves are in that chunk. The mafia are the people not helping the town, it is in fact that easy.

That's Dizzy, that's Bereft, that's TSP, that's maybe Rondo, that's *maybe* leetic although leetic's posting today is substantially better, that's *maybe* tedxtr though I don't think he fits a lot of teams and saying he's not helping town is perhaps unfair, that's *maybe* Abigail on certain teams if I'm wrong about things. But mainly it's those first four.

Re: Severance [Evening Two]

Starting over with the riddles three stuff.

Ranmilia = brick
pyxxy = toy sword
leetic = ducky
TSP = metal plate
Rondo = tabasco bottle
Robyn = she
tedxtr = disco ball
Wind = cigarette? (presumed because avatar and context)
Abigail = carton of orange juice? (again presumed on avatar/context)

So Bereft now townreads Rondo because Robyn flipped town, also townreads pyxxy, me, wind, "compass" (I previously thought compass was mac, idk now).
Doesn't townread but doesn't want to go after orange juice (abigail) right now.
Scumreads leetic, ted, possibly TSP, and the "stuffed animal/comfort object" and "kewpie doll" which I'm not sure who they are.

That's what I get out of that.

I wrote updated thoughts about Rondo a few posts above, if you want my input
Noted. I disagree with robyn partnership being the main thrust of suspicion though, the main suspicion in my eyes is general wolfyness and lack of solving - that he hadn't and still hasn't Done anything in the game to help town beyond fluff and bluster and easy votes. I gave that a pass yesterday but one of my criteria for him was "he's charging at mac so let mac decide" and mac decided wolfy.

Regardless of his rep, Mac doesn't die if ALL his major suspicions are wrong and the four I listed were his suspects.

(Well three and Bereft, but he also scumread Bereft on first look and flipped around when he was scumreading Robyn, who godscumread Bereft, and we now know Robyn was town so.)

TSP also pinged mac's general scumdar, and before the whole mac robyn thing, we were going on bereft, and TSP came in trying to break that up with a gamestate read and a push on Abi which is... in my eyes weak and not good. There is a big part of me wanting to go Bereft -> TSP here.

And then there is Dizzy who is still just not playing the game but never got hard pressure for it except for me and mac, and now mac is dead.

I do not want to go tedxtr today.

Re: Severance [Evening One]

Skate Maid Enjoyers

Ranmilia - paid negative nineteen dollars for negative one chicken sandwich in a dream

Gira - If a wolf wrote #911 and #1022 I'm down to lose to it, and the pushes and heat here have been... weird and I suspect wolf action. Do not vote out Gira.

Mac - Hitting all the usual town notes both empirically and metawise, active enough to legit be self resolving. Never vote mac until xlo, 100% vote him at xlo if he's alive and we haven't won, etc etc etc.

Wind - Many many reasons wind is town and basically none why she would be wolf, I get her mindset a lot better now.

Abigail - I'm way less certain about reading this playstyle, but as far as I can see there's no reason to suspect her.

10 Hours of Silence Occasionally Interrupted By The First Four Notes of Megalovania

pyxxy - Don't love how they blew me off, but the thread got consumed by other stuff so we table this for now. I am still very concerned here, because this feels like the sort of "everyone has them mid" slot that A. has wolf equity and B. if not a wolf are at incredibly high risk for being pocketed by wolves, in part *because* town does not connect to them and thinks they have wolf equity and they feel suspected and isolated and so on. I encourage everyone to talk to pyxxy more and pyxxy if you are town, understand where I'm coming from... this is too long to really fit in a readlist but yeah more on this later.

Rondo - I haven't really looked into Rondo, beyond a surface take that they are being active and doing things that will cause others to react and that's baseline town and if not I can read other people's reactions, and also "they are getting in scraps with my wolfreads so that's a good look for now."

TSP - Alternates between "oh he's thinking about the game, seems fine" and "What? What?????" Firmly OR.

Willing To Vote

Naturally I doubt all 4 (5) of these are actually wolves. To any that are town, please, please, come back and help us; it is never too late to turn things around.

Dizzy - Still not really playing the game, only lukewarm takes and self professed "idk what's going on" worldview, refer to prev discussions.

tedxtr - Doesn't seem to be playing in a very towny way, tons of red flags regarding talking about mech, joking about wolfchat, knew there were multiple threads before the actual mech hit us... it do look like they have gots information they should not have. Also top mutual wolfreads with some of my other wolfreads so.

Bereft - Still playing riddles three and being deliberately antagonizing and unhelpful, which in my experience is a strong wolftell. Also in a three way pokemon type battle with robyn and ted. I can find reasons to vote the others over him but I wouldn't mourn this slot's death; I can't get much out of the (deliberately obscured) worldview other than wanting ted dead.

leetic - still hasn't really done anything besides aggro snipe at everyone and talk about mech a lot. I don't see a coherent worldview or drive to solve and help town. I get they're not on the table today and some folks are townreading them for meta or audacity but in my eyes this is just a wolf.

Like if they placed the votes on people they hadn't read yet, as a test to see whether they claimed the extra votes or not, if they assumed wolves wouldn't claim it because they wouldn't want to get hammered... ie if they weren't aware there's no hammer (like how I momentarily forgot, cause I saw someone else mention it in the context of worrying that Abbi would hammer Robyn, forgot who it was)

I did have a weird thought that one of the people who claimed the extra vote might have been lying. Not sure how probable that is. But I mean if it's a wolf mechanic and a wolf claims it, it might falsely assure people that plurality would be on the wrong target if there are tied wagons in the votecount. And also throw people off of thinking it comes from wolves. Of course, since we can't see the extra votes, we can't know for sure if they're really there, but there's always a chance that someone who knows where they came from claimed to have one on them.

fuck yeh it's time
Ok so I was asking earlier when Robyn was wavering on their Bereft take, and then Bereft seemed to have listed Robyn as a scumread. I didn't want to force a dichotomy between them because it would go terribly if I was wrong, but I wanted to poke around and see what people's reasons for scum reading Robyn were (the reasons for people scumreading Bereft were very clearly that he was gimmick posting).

Robyn claimed that they could solve both Bereft and me within the first 24hours, which resulted in them expressing a townread on me and what seemed like a throwaway scumread on Bereft,which is why I was trying to gauge their confidence in that read (and unfortunately, I was unable to gauge how confident Bereft was in his read on Robyn but maybe someone else picked that up).

I did actually think, once Bereft posted about the objects and put down the first 3 votes, that he was slightly towny for doing so solving under the gimmick. I believe Robyn picked up on this and decided to commit to the bereft push because it would be pretty easy for others to follow without much convincing. The real hindrance to that would be the dissenters who thought Robyn themself was a wolf, however.

Earlier in the game, I did think Robyn's read on Ranmilia was satisfactory enough that I wasn't going to question Robyn right away. I decided it was mildly towny enough and that I could probably leave their slot and see how it goes, so I took to responding to the scumreads on Robyn to figure out what their logic was (or at least, I tried to). So then when Robyn was trying to butter me up and also ask for my readlist, I decided to be sneaky and just not give it (but also because I was too lazy to type it up) and see what behavior I could observe.

I expressed low confidence in my current reads and no real scumreads. This was true enough, and as you pointed out earlier in someone else's case (TSP?), Robyn went straight for pocketing me after I said that. I decided I would vote for Bereft to force the dichotomy between them, correct or not, but without saying that's what I was doing. I downplayed my interpretation of bereft's posts in order to do this, and made a paranoia post that allowed Robyn to amplify it (TSP picked up on this, but thought I looked bad for sowing paranoia in saying that highposters contained a wolf). What I said in response to his vote on me after I caught up was that he should look for who reacted to that post. The answer should be Robyn, because Robyn immediately echoed that sentiment and told the thread that I was "correctly" voicing concern that there was an active wolf. In my opinion, if Robyn is a wolf, then they ARE the most active wolf commenting on my post. If I were more accurate and someone who was a wolf with Robyn was more active than them, they would not want to amplify that.

Sorry this is so longwinded, and also I'm not voting Robyn right now because I don't want to encourage a hammer until closer to the voting deadline. So I just voted pyxxy so that I'm voting somewhere, lol (sorry pyxxy).
So to boil this down you think robyn was pocketing/manipulating you like mac described?

sorry my brain is getting major mafia fatigue (i legit would not have signed on if i knew this was gonna have a 72h d1)

i believe hammer ios never enabled. unfortunately.

I have been disappointed in Robyn not really doing anything since we 'masoned' except going after Gira and Bereft. I don't know why their response to mac's pressure (in my eyes still only a moderate push, I've seen stronger from him) is so disproportionate. I don't know why they outed schweppes and insomnia's alts and I'd really like to understand that. I don't know why they think they survive to d2 now after going "smell ya later". I think mac is very town but if mac is right then robyn has pocketed me and what if mac is the one pocketing me.

- I want @pyxxy to post more. I'm not sure what I want them to post about. Literally anything, anyone. Come talk to me.

- TSP is a player who exists in this game.
this is less about post count and more about you not finding anything in my posts that you feel inspired to engage with, yeah?
More of that yes, and also Wind's read of you, which is the closest thing she has to a real scumread, and I am inclined to credit since I trust Wind quite a lot here and her account of the circumstances set off big alarm bells in my head. I've been letting it cook to now; the pot thus boils. Mac says you are polarized but doesn't have you obvious town. Gira has you mid, I had you mid and escaping my notice until Wind commented on you, no one's made any real overtures towards you or attacks on you. You should be in the hot seat here and you haven't been. Testify. Why are you town?

Here's a freebie. Tabasco is Rondo and not you. If you're going to complain abt stylistic differences between cigarettes and a toy sword, then at least put in the effort to make heads or tails of the actual content. ~ Schweppes

Re: Severance [Evening One]

The box of cigarettes and the toy sword really don't go together though, do they? Total stylistic mismatch.
