I think the vote id lean on most as of rn is probably lc. His d1 was strong imo but he dropped off really hard and feeling kinda lost on what to say and that is very reminiscent of his scum games. He has a consistent energy to solve and contribute as town and he really believes his reads as town and that energy usually maintains with him throughout the game but I haven’t felt that this game

Loook this is where I’m at. I haven’t had time to go through isos and stuff properly so this is all subject to change but I’ll air out my thoughts. I’ve locked you as town, If I’m wrong on this read then it’s probably already an L but I don’t see my mind changing, I have roughly the same confidence of you being town that I had with gav and rondo earlier in the game and I was right on both. I also found Scotty immediately so I’m not feeling too worried about slots that I’ve confidently trd.

I think there’s likely one in between falcon/lc and one in jack/tsp. I don’t think falcon and lc are teamed because lc was voting sean on d1 and then when a cw started to build on falcon lc flipped his vote over with the reasoning “sure why not”. It doesn’t make sense for lc to so easily switch to falcon there if they’re partners and the way they did it didn’t feel partnery. If lc was set on bussing he keeps his vote to bus seanzie there instead of switching to falcon imo.

Jack and tsp don’t make sense as a team because jacks buzzer beater went against everything tsp was trying to achieve d1. Tsp wanted to save falcon and Sean from being voted out and wanted lc dead. Jacks buzzer beater completely went against everything tsp was trying to achieve and tsps reaction to jacks vote in the thread and his numerous attempts at telling jack to change his votes in the thread don’t read as partnery.

I have nothing stopping me from thinking either lc or jack bussed d1, since I think the best indicator for me for when I think someone may have bussed is that I try to compare their play on the day they bussed vs the other days. If the primary reasons
I have to tr a slot is heavily focused on just one day/moment then it’s more likely to be a bus compared to slots that I think have been consistently towny/solvey throughout the game. It doesn’t make sense for jack or lc to start off so strong d1 and then completely drop off for the rest of the game so I’m
Not gonna rule out a bus from one if not both of them.

The only reasons I have to tr falcon is I kinda like the start of their d2 and also other slots that know them well have hard vouched for falcon but I do think falcons actions and votes throughout the game have been very scummy. He voted dyson and gav both of which I found to be really scummy votes for someone to make.

Tsp started off scummy and has gotten better in recent days however his role claim doesn’t make much sense

I also think ur putting too much weight into thinking he would NK u as mafia. We have 3 nks, 2 of those were on clears, the other was on alison. I can see scum bk deciding to hit alison, esp if his partner wanted to, he did n1 her in buckets despite being in a lobby with lots of people like alexa who he was familiar with.

I feel the same way he's been coasting off day 1, but also if gav is mafia that leaves you as mafia because I know myself and scotty are town and if he was mafia his 3 check has to contain 1 mafia he's trying to sneak by. You know. Lots of complex interactions this game

Jack can be mafia, gav brought up a good point about the buzzer beater, in that it really isn’t that clearing considering lc would have won the tie regardless. I haven’t felt anything strongly towny from Jack d2 onwards

I have 2 Notes, Used 1 on you and I’ll use the other on Lime Coke and because of my role it can confirm his role as if he’s town I’ll get the message and not him.

So when you say falcon is confirmed town you don’t mean it any way to do with his abilities? Just based off how he spoke to you in your hood?

Outside of what gav is saying about falcon, do you find falcon independently towny? You seem to be good at reading falcon in the past so ur take here is helpful

So me and Alison both d1 read falcon town and we are both decent at reading falcon (granted 1) we were low-efforting and 2) falcon hasn't really been around) but also Gav like somethin somethin and now I think falcon either has a self-resolving role and I won't delve into that or has been massively tmi'ed (or both)

I've read that question a couple times in the thread now. OK, so first, to remind you, this is only the third game of mafia that I have played in a very long time and even when I did play it a long time ago, I never strategized as much as people in professional mafia communities do. (Plus I died early in the first of these three, so it doesn't even count)

And secondly, as people pointed out, it is a weird claim, not a typical cop claim. Now if I were scum, I wouldn't have come up with it, but I concede that someone on my team could have coached me to give a fake claim.

Now, as a town player, I actually didn't know for sure who other people clearly read as towncore. In my mind, no one was confirmed town, so I didn't know that I should have ignored any players for being towncleared already. So I picked the ones that I thought were towniest, and I had hoped that I had gotten the right ones, but I had no idea they were already cleared.

And if you're asking why I didn't pick poe players instead, I was under the impression that a result saying all three targets were the same alignment (town) would be more useful to town game, because it's unambiguous. Maybe you guys with all your strategizing might have enlightened me why an ambiguous result would be more useful than an unambiguous result. But at the time, knowing that I don't have any particularly insightful cases of my own to make, didn't deem it wise to share my ability before I had the chance to use it. Now it's done.

Maybe we'll have some more time later to discuss the usefulness of an ambiguous versus an unambiguous result. I just know, had I picked two users who I'm pretty sure are town (and I don't have strong trust in my own townreads) and one user that I think was poe, and the result was an ambiguous answer, then I still wouldn't know for sure whether my poe pick was scum or whether my poe pick was town and one or two of my town picks were scum, or maybe even all three scum.

Again, I don't know half as much about game strategy as you all, but I think personally, I would always prefer an unambiguous result. Even if I picked my top 3 scum reads, it might just be one of them scum and the other two innocent, but an ambiguous result would make me doubt all of them. Because it could also be two scum or all three scum.

I hope that answers not just this post I quoted but also some other questions directed towards me that I read in the thread. I should have posted more today, but I really had a lot to deal with today. I won't be able to post anything else for 16 hours starting now, but then I should have time to make a couple more high quality posts.

Honestly I have no issues with the way dyson used their ability. Getting 3 clears is by far the most optimal use of it. Dyson when you have time can you please elaborate what made myself Scotty and rondo your top 3 townreads ?

Actually even if they are a team (which I highly doubt still) that by default makes falcon town anyways. Which means by Occam’s razor that falcon is very likely town here in most worlds

The good news is that I don’t think gav and tsp are ever a team. So one of them has to be town so I feel confident sponging their confident tr on falcon and putting falcon back in my towncore Alongside With the reasons I found falcon towny on d2.
