alexa counter-question while I'm still reading: do you agree with my take about his reads being much less passionate as scum?

I think in the wolf game he noticeably doesn't have that same degree of emotional investment in his reads that he has here.

It reminded me a lot of his mindset when he gets angry over being scumread but without the performativeness and shouting which I found towny.

Honestly LC's ISO so far is actually really solid.

Honestly, alexa is my top town now. I don't want to go into it too heavily because it's sort of icky but I'd be really surprised if she could fake the reaction to me earlier as well as the subsequent stuff.

She's also towny outside of that, it's just the thing that pretty much eliminates any doubts I have right now.

I think you're just town struggling to get into the game with your issues. It reminds me of Last Will where you couldn't get your feet under you and it made you look awful, but once you actually got your footing you played extremely well.

I didn't like ilario's interactions around alexa early, there were a couple posts that showed a combination of awkwardness and self awareness that reads as scummy to me. I think his trans handling was kinda meh, but that's harder to judge. I think he's mostly been pushing pro scum poe, although tbf he's not alone in that regard fmpov.

Its a bit of an ego tunnel atp I guess but I don't really care

Mac had a townie eod1, and I think the work he's done today is largely out of his scumrange. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, and the counterargument is that if he's mafia here he's likely trying his ass off given the playerlist, but yeah, I think given his reads and his play he's probably just town

Ender is a bit of a lazier read tbh, he reads similar to his play in scythe to me, and I have a decent record of correctly tolerating him, so I just locked it in.

Thanks. Wrt illario he has a very distinct dynamic with alexa and they're pretty much like mafia best buds in that regard and interwine their play a lot (source: having played with them a lot) and in the nicest way possible he's known for having really wild reads.

Mac's EoD was towny to me pretty much solely because I think he had a very real chance to get me flipped and decided not to (especially when Trans flipping town would be a bad look for him anyway). Tbh I don’t see really see where you're coming from with your point about his D2 though, I think it's been really wolfy tbh. Would you mind expanding on your read?

Tbh I pretty much agree exactly with what you've said about Ender, I'm just not going to town lock him over it.

Lol well the tl;dr was that he hard shielded a couple of towns from D1 for reasons he never really explained outside of "knowing their meta" (like 100% confidence in them being town levels of shielding) which he refused to reevaluate even up to the point where he was mechanically 99% a wolf if the person he was shielding was town, was very snarky when people pushed against his reads but never really did much about it and I don't really remember who he was pushing but I remember every time we wanted to push one of his shields and he disagreed he suggested we push on some random townread vanity scumread of his that would never have gotten traction.
I don't think I'm playing that similarly, im not vanity pushing ilario as discussed with Mac I've functionally given up on him dying, and my townresds have a solid basis imo

Also worth noting that hard defending early underexplained townreads is a hallmark of my towngame as well

Please explain to me your more controversial townreads and would you mind linking a game where you played like that as town? I think the strongest I've seen you defend a townread is in Scythe and even there you were mostly willing to re-eval later on you just knew TGT was 100% a wolf.

Also Nook says lmao but with a lot of os and that is oddly surprising to me.

Tl;dr of the bit you asked me about was that I think you're relying almost solely on faked towniness in a way that I don't think you would need to as town and which actively shows that you're struggling to demonstrate legitimate reasons for you to be town. I think it's a really jarring difference compared to how you played in Traitors for Exile and even Scythe.

He's mostly just not really trying to interact with me at all? Which I had mostly brushed off as not being I the thread at the same time as him very often but I actually don't think he's put his usual amount of effort into reading me this game either.

Which is weird because he generally believes our playstyles have a lot of parallels and is usually actually pretty good at reading me?

I’ve been agreeing but I’ve also considered that like holding onto the Ilario scumread is like the easiest fake scumread possible here and he hasn’t really done any reeval on it tbh
