I have yet to win on this site by the way.

I fucking suck.

I really regret just quitting and letting myself get dusted off.

Game felt easy Day 1, and then literally the super inactive Day 1 people looked towny as hell, and I was just lost and didn't feel like I could fight my way out of the POE since I had no idea where to go. So I just got out of the way and trusted the game onto town's hands. Turns out wolves were super deep.

I should've just self pres'd onto Falcon because there was evidence that he was scummy, just didn't bother with it in case I was wrong.

Here's the thing, and I hate doing this because it's literally me defending myself and trying to keep me in the game when I'm not in the mood for it, but I can't pull myself away from it because "COMPETITIVENESS!!!! WOO!!!".

I'm not voting or leading anything because I don't want to be in the POE, force a vote onto another town, and continue on in this game in the POE when I'm completely unsure of myself and I don't have the energy to go.


If I was mafia here though, I would actually have a vote on someone and would try to be pushing someone out. My posts would actually be different than apathy.

Not saying "I'm a good wolf" because I suck as a wolf. I'm saying that I would be way more meme-y and having significantly more fun.

Well I liked him trying to get onto the game despite not having internet and using his phone data during EOD1. I feel like as town that players would try to be here as much as possible for the game.

Problem is that I asked him earlier about what he prefers alignment wise and he ignored it so the progress is entirely halted.

I noticed for long stretches of the game Illario was posting as though like only 1 other player existed in the thread, D1 it felt like he was disproportionately quoting and responding to or talking about Dizzy, early day 2 there was an obsession about me, though that was somewhat thread wide... It's an easy play for mafia to really focus on one player who's irrelevant to their plans / who they have no intention of voting for.

He will try to do that as town sometimes because he likes trying to solve with other people. In a vacuum it looks like a pocket attempt but it's something that I don't think he'd have trouble faking as mafia.

Though I feel like as mafia Illario would try to get interactions with his partners to try to distance. Like he's not a noob wolf player that would make his stuff look obvious.

I even pointed out to Sloonei that he was trying to get Sig to do things outside of Sig's own town meta in order to potentially not vote him. Which is hilarious and ridiculous. It's not one player though, it's just how it is, creature last game... This game Sig... Previous game Made. As I understand these players get it early and often.

It's kinda rough trying to read these individuals as a town player because the playstyle just naturally hurts them when there's much more active and prominent voices in the thread.

Also think it's roughly the same feeling every game of "I don't want to ML this player because they're good an it would be embarrassing if I killed a good town player." So the LHF's get blasted way more than them.

Which sucks to have but even I fall for it and I feel like it just hurts my game.

My issue is that literally every game I play with Falcon I end up scumreading the guy, and that's probably this playstyle difference on this site compared to other games that I normally play.

Like so many town players just look scummy by playstyle.

It makes so many of these players such a >rand flip.

I need to make it up to everyone for my lackluster playing this game by burying a wolf.

Unfortunately, I have 2 issues.

1. I'm not confident in my ability of getting scumreads. For some reason I just don't have it and I don't feel like I'm getting better at it?

2. I'm not even confident in my townreads. Like the direction the game is going, and the certain PRs that have been revealed, my worldview of the game has kinda been thrown off.
I'm at a point where I'm thinking either "This person is probably a good wolf and I'm townreading them based off of just being a good player" and "This person has been lackluster but I might be falling for voting off a LHF" much like I ended up doing to Sig Day 1.


The fact that the numbers are tighter, I don't want to end up scumcasing someone, forcing another mishang, and we're back in the same position but with lesser room to breathe.
I almost wanna let myself get dropped and let the town hopefully come together and solve it.
Literally have my gameplan be "get out of the fucking way."

My confidence in these games has gotten rocked lately so I'm just in a bad way here.

I’m referring to Lime Coke rather than to ilario. If I understand the dialogue, you showed him that a premise on which he was doubting ilario was untrue, and it apparently was irrelevant and the doubts remained. I don’t get it on Lime’s part.

i do not think that his read on lime coke is inherently wolfy. it fits with whatever conception i have of what an "illario wolfread" looks like. i find it believable that the read could come from ilario as a villager, but it would help me a lot if he was more specific about his concerns

and of course, i would love to hear lime coke explain why he thinks that ilario would definitely not have that read on him as a villager. you didn't seem to take an inherent issue with ilario's reasoning for being suspicious of you on d1, so why is it wolf-indicative for you now?

the framing of your read on ilario in this post implies that you are suspicious of illario because of the specific reasoning that he is using to be suspicious of you. but illario used that specific reasoning to voice suspicions of you on d1, and you did not seem to take any issue or concern with it

i know that you thought that he townread you on d1, but it does raise some red flags that you are suddenly acting like a thought by illario that was posted an entire dayphase ago is inherently wolfy

regardless of any of that, i would find it really helpful if you talked about your read on illario in more detail. if you feel up to it, maybe even look through his ISO and point out some posts you find wolfy?

Well I knew that he said that early day 1, but he brought it back up when he's stated that there's other ways to read me? It's weird that he goes off of THAT alone.
