If you're a civ like you seem to me, and if it's a good thing like I hope it is, I don't want a baddie getting it, so you voting me and me voting you, won't help you get more votes.Roxy wrote:I am not sure I get your logic but I will change my vote.FZ. wrote:If you're really a civ, I'd rather you vote for yourself. Just her behavior so far. Seems civvie Rox to me. Of course, I don't know for sure.DFaraday wrote:Is there any particular reason people think Roxy is civ?

The day periods are 48 hours. At least, day one was.birdwithteeth11 wrote:Alright. I still haven't had a chance to catch up any since I last posted. Hopefully before work tomorrow, I will get a chance to.
Also, is each period only lasting 24 hours? Because I thought Day 1 wasn't ending until Friday. I'm incredibly confused about that.
Or simply stated, I'm really confused about everything that is happening right now. Because I haven't caught up yet. :P
Thank you.Epignosis wrote:Used to managing Speed Games...poll time is fixed.
MP "normal"? That does not compute.fingersplints wrote:He seems pretty normal to me.FZ. wrote:How about MP? He seems a bit eager to please. He keeps seeing my point of view, and explains things. Not sure I've ever seen civvie MP do that. Can anyone share their thoughts about MP? Does it feel genuine to you?
I agree.FZ. wrote:Glad no one died. And I wonder what the race results mean. I will barely be here today also, since I'm not around on Fridays.
I still feel like llama isn't contributing anything to the game, no matter how merry he is
Do tell. What struck your attention in particular?MovingPictures07 wrote:Having thought about it and looked at the D1 votes again, honestly I'm looking most at Llama today. I'm still not really feeling too sure where to look, though I do have tentatively good vibes from a few players.
Other players that made votes yesterday that struck my attention: Boogs, DFaraday, LC, Made, and Snow Dog. Not sure what to make of them though.
Well, I'm just not sure what to make of your hopping around and then settling on a single vote candidate. I'm leaning genuine, so I'm not really looking at you today, but it also could have been an easy way to avoid the suspicion that comes with jumping on a bandwagon.Snow Dog wrote:Do tell. What about Made and Boogs that voted for me basically for no reason whatsoever? And all of the llama voters?birdwithteeth11 wrote:Alright. So I am now finally caught up. And here's what I have so far.
-Ninja took quite a bit of flak for her post where she questioned why so many people were voting early on Day 1. And from what I gathered, llama got heat for seeming to be jumping on an "easy case". But I thought a lot of people seemed way too eager to vote for ninja, even with it being Day 1 and all. So I will be taking a good look at everyone who voted for her and got her lynched.
- Sabie and LC voted for me because I hadn't shown up. After I did show up, both of them continued to leave their votes on me. I remember sabie actively stating she was leaving her vote on me for missing the Day 0 poll. Honestly, if that's the only poll I miss, that doesn't mean anything at all. I've just been really busy this week and only had enough time/energy to check in once. I do find it odd that LC said he'd leave his vote on me because he "didn't feel the need" with Ninja ahead of me in the votes. But I'm more likely to give him a pass on it than sabie.
Yeah, that's all I've got so far.
I don't think anyone falls into that category other than Snowy... right? I'm not sure though.birdwithteeth11 wrote:Who were all the people that voted for Ninja, and then moved their votes away later on?
I think of all the Ninja voters, the only one I'm probably not going to examine closely is Ambray. Since she actually put forth a case of her own for voting Ninja. Everyone else felt like an easy bandwagon to me.
Yes, I will send out a PM when it is fixed. Sorry. I've been working with Bluehost, but they've recently gotten nonresponsive to me. It's certainly something I thought would be fixed by now.birdwithteeth11 wrote:Also, I keep getting the time-out messages. I'm guessing that is something that still hasn't been fixed yet?
I agree on the joke votes. I don't understand why we wouldn't examine those as well.Ambray wrote:Sorry for not voting in the night poll, I did intend to - but I went to a work do last night and got unintentionally very drunk...infront of all my bosses. I'm quite interested by all the 'joke votes' on D1 that ended up not being a joke at all because they were never changed. I think overall that led to spread out votes and an easy to manipulate poll. I'm going to have to go look at it again to remember what the end result was.
Thanks for the pass, I don't know why you said you find it odd. Maybe you need me to explain "didn't feel the need" a little better. I threw a vote on you to help prompt you to check in, not because I wanted to see you lynched. If I had checked back in and seen that you were going to be lynched, I would have moved my vote like I said I would, because you gave me a reason to. Since you seemed to be out of lynch-danger, I didn't think there was a point, especially since my catch-up on the thread was a big skim in which I saw some actual suspicions forming. I didn't have time to weigh in and analyze this new development, so I stayed with what I had.birdwithteeth11 wrote:I do find it odd that LC said he'd leave his vote on me because he "didn't feel the need" with Ninja ahead of me in the votes. Not sure how my vote can be classed as a bandwagon when I was the first one to bring him up and vote for him.Ambray wrote:[quote="birdwithteeth11"
So basically, we have 7 people who fall under the category of either joke or bandwagon votes: Made, Boogs, MP, DFaraday, llama, Snow Dog, and possibly, but much less likely, Ambray.

I didn't hop around. I voted for ninja as best case. I believed her defence so moved it. One change. Hardly hopping.

You think you should look ONLY at the Ninja voters nonetheless?
See, here's the logical fallacy we always run into as players. Consider this:
Llama is civ. (I'm not saying he is, I have no idea, this is just a scenario). Let's switch the number of votes that struck Llama and Blooper yesterday. Llama gets flipped. Then who would everyone be looking at? Llama's voters. Even though there were plenty of players who voted each, and each were civ, the players who get exclusively eyeballed by the masses are the voters of the lynchee, even though it's possible baddies voted for either player.
That's the problem I always have with looking solely at the "______ voters" for each lynch. Yes, they should be considered, but I think others should get theand be forced to disclose their intentions as well. Because we honestly have no idea what the baddies did last lynch: whether they bandwagoned onto Blooper, bandwagoned onto Llama, or threw off onto me or you or someone else.

I'll get around to it when I get the chance. I'm still trying to absorb everything since the game started. But as soon as I get more concrete thoughts, I'll be posting more.MovingPictures07 wrote:BWT, to be fair, Boogs voted for me because at that moment in time, I had voted for him, and he's apparently busy. Made just voted for me right off the bat and never moved it. It doesn't help that the game started around a busy time for a lot of people (not faulting anyone for that though).
Why are you not looking at Llama voters?
Anyway, I know you've recently caught up, so I'm just curious to see what you'll find.
I need to work on a bunch of stuff today that I was ignoring yesterday and the day prior, so I'll be back... sometime.
Llama's flippance seems like a common thing to me. I don't see his chaotic/jokey voting as unusual, nor is it indicative of good or bad alignment. He's worth looking into, for sure. But I feel like he often makes for an easy bandwagon target because of his eccentricities.birdwithteeth11 wrote:

It seems like possible baddie manipulation may play a part into it as well, since the votes were spread out enough. So that might be another thing to look into as well.

My problem is you're focusing to groups of votes by players instead of just looking at all of them. We don't know what the baddies would have done. Players bandwagoned onto Blooper and Llama, as well as threw off jokey and meaningless votes.MovingPictures07 wrote:Why can't a civvie vote for someone after someone else has voted for them?
Why can't a baddie lead a lynch with a case?
Ambray very well could be bad. I argue the first because I am a civvie and I voted for Blooper because I thought Ambray and FZ.'s observations rang with some content when I revisited Blooper's post.
posted this before Ninja's role was announced, but after the vote ended. Didn't mean to leave my vote on MP. Personally, I would like to look critically at FZ, but other than that no pings atm.Made wrote:I would of voted Ninja, thought i am critical of FZ.
