MacDougall: Ignoring meta entirely, he's offered one post of game-related content. I don't think it would take much work for him to change that read, and I expect he will, it just hasn't happened yet.
pyxxy: Mostly mech-related discussion thus far. I think that she's fine on tone, and the discussion points she mentioned have been fruitful, I'm glad she mentioned a scumread, but I would like to know what she saw in the other falcon that she doesn't see now.
falcon45ca: For better or for worse, falcon always seems to be in his wolfrange, and this game is no different. I don't see any bite in his reads, which is the one thing that makes me think it's a little more likely to be right.

Hole selection will resolve at the end of day for everyone (after the elimination) and each player will be privately notified of their reward (or lack thereof). If a player is eliminated by poll, their hole will not be dug that day, thus freeing up that digging spot the following day.

I spent a little time considering if I should hold and get a double dig on D2 but I think that's worse for town? If we all think that the best town play is not letting scum get any of the powers, then we want to use our numbers advantage to max digging in the first few days.

D1 - 12 holes bc DK, 9 town and 3 scum / 10 town and 2 scum (depending on DK), 24 holes remain
D2 - 10 holes bc NK and DK, 14 holes remain
D3 - 8 holes bc NK and DK, 6 holes remain
D4 - 6 holes bc NK and DK, 0 holes remain

^assuming no one abstains from digging ever

to make a point along with the math: I think that abstaining from digging on D1 is NAI because it's sort of a crapshoot and on D2 you'll just have to dig the one hole you know is safe + one random anyway, so abstaining is more a player's preference to ensure they make it to D2

after D1 though...then I think we will be able to read into the reasonings behind any abstainers

Fingersplints; I couldn't remember a thing she said, so I had to read her. Of her 8 posts, about half were about how she doesn't enjoy/engage in mech discussion. Only real suspish discussing post was agreeing with an equivocating post Marmot made about his reads (which to be fair, I also agreed with). I know she is a low poster in general, so I need to see more (especially her reaction to this poke), but what I did see put her a bit wooflean for me.

I don’t generally have a lot of suspicions day 1. I usually try to sort some I feel best about first. I find it helpful to identify who feels best to me.

I usually try and identify my feelings about falcon early, since I used to misread him ton. I’m not getting the same town vibes I was able to identify early the past few games with him. He’s definitely be POE for me

I do not use it with any extra meaning. It is almost a hyphen, but not quite.

But also I should say, I didn't say "rand!wolf", I said ">rand!wolf", which I read as "greater than random chance of being a wolf".

I just saw this now. I figured that out about the "< & >", I think someone was talking about it in a spec chat. I didn't mean your post specifically, I've just seen a lot of people using the !, and wasn't sure if I was misreading the meaning.

I am a gut player, but even the basic playstyle has changed alot since I last played (until recently) that I am not sure how to read things that other people find suspish, or towny. Like my first game back, I sussed Sabi for several things that, to me, were pretty universal bad tells, and I was in fact 100% wrong about them. Watching cartomancy, I found that most people play like that now.

For the most part, I'm a gut player. But having a comparative baseline is still good.

Since I'm about to reread him, what do you think of Falcon? If you already said, I may have missed it.

Well, just because you've harped on it, doesn't mean that's the only person you might sus. I've never seen Falcon bad. I've never see you bad, Neon or alot of other people bad. And some people, like Mac, Splints, or marmot, I haven't seen bad in years, and I'm sure they evolved.

Are you a player that relies on tells for finding wolves? I don't think you should be so discouraged from lack of wolf data on the majority of the cast. Your natural scumfinding abilities should carry you through.

I am a gut player, but even the basic playstyle has changed alot since I last played (until recently) that I am not sure how to read things that other people find suspish, or towny. Like my first game back, I sussed Sabi for several things that, to me, were pretty universal bad tells, and I was in fact 100% wrong about them. Watching cartomancy, I found that most people play like that now.

For the most part, I'm a gut player. But having a comparative baseline is still good.

I alluded to this somewhere, idr. I spent the NPC madness games (I was NPC) townreading falcon _but_ not really speaking up about it. I went on to regret that when people miskilled him for lowposting. So I came into this game determined to defend Falcon if I townread him again.

No, not necessarily, I felt better when I voted about Wilgy than the other wagon on Falcon, and would prefer to put more space between them. Voting for you would have made three 2 person wagons. And I don't think baddies are so rigid on day one, any port in a storm.

I responded becasue, A) I was saying I am at sea re Falcon, hoping you could help me see what I was missing, and, B) I thought you were pushing me with your "harping" answer, rather than just answering. I was being a tad defensive because of how you reacted to me in LGM.
