Hey, where's your non-player blue, good sir? You can't just barge in here like that without your NP blue!

David, there is a button above the text box called "np." That stands for "non-player." Feel free to post (off-topic, that is, not with the purpose of speculating or participating) by coloring your text blue. Even the Mod has to post using this color.Atavachron wrote:what kind of deeply troubled game is this...

So, here's my new theory for you all. What if I'm actually a civvie but I was forced by Snow Dog's team to act as an outed baddie now instead of having to draw attention away from him? What do you guys think? Pretty believable, right?

OR, how about, I've been recruited to the civvies by The Sorceress? Surely all of you will believe that?
Nah, I wouldn't even want that at this point. The life of a civvie is the life of a deadman.

Here's a theory I came up with. Now I don't know if I'm right, and I don't know if Timmer is saying something similar - but I might as well share the theory to get it out there.
I'm actually wondering if MoPi didn't do some of this "attention calling" on purpose. I believe neither he nor Snow Dog (obviously) are Modulok. Grizzlor's power was not all that alarming, and my guess is MoPi's isn't either. (Which is why he is bating someone into blocking him, so the better powers go through.) Now, he has said he fully expects to get lynched tomorrow. This makes me think he is "sacrificing himself" for the team. The longer Modulok stays alive, the more powerful he gets. So if Horde can stave off any suspicion of Modulok for a couple more days it's good for them, even if they lose a couple members in the process.
I posit that we look for someone with Horde connections besides MoPi tomorrow. If we can't find someone, obviously we know MoPi is, but I would really prefer to find another Horde member who might actually have a chance of being Modulok. Also it is worth considering that they have some sort of lynch protection power - in which case they'll likely use it on MoPi tonight so that we can't lynch him tomorrow (perhaps as Timmer indicated).
And obviously Horde was planning some lynch manipulation this past lynch, so I think ALL CIVS need to be very careful tomorrow with the lynch and we need to plan it carefully before we start voting. That way we will be more likely to lynch who we want to lynch.
Timmer, if you agree with some or all of this theory, just quote this post the next time you post and say anything. If you disagree, do NOT quote this post the next time you post.

Also, thanks juliets for coming up with that nifty idea of getting a yes or no answer from our cursed friends.
That's a good question Kate. I wonder if the curse will affect their voting abilities or anything else. When you were cursed with Teh Stink were you adversely affected in any other way?

Re: [Night 8] Masters of the Universe Mafia
All I have to say is, good luck finding any of my teammates.

Re: [Night 8] Masters of the Universe Mafia

Night 8: Eternium
Flyin’ High was the first to arrive at the solution: “It’s a compass,” she said. “The cardinal directions north, east, south, and west.” Others were not far behind her in deducing this image. She adjusted the cells accordingly.
The door groaned and the cavern shook.
In the illuminated chamber were hundreds of shimmery teal stones, some polished and some not.
“It’s a cache of Eternium,” said the Kulatak leader. “And that’s not all.”
Further inside the room was a book. The leader picked it up and studied it in the soft glow of his electric lantern. After some time, he said, “This is the records of the Kulatak patriarchs. It has the maps, charts, and observations of our forefathers regarding the breadth of the Ice Mountains. We all believed these documents to be lost, but here they are. I cannot imagine why they- and this store of Eternium- were sealed up in here all this time. Perhaps they faced a danger we now do not.”
He turned to Flyin’ High.
“For your ingeniousness,” the Kulatak leader said, “we are indebted. We do not regard obligations of thanksgiving lightly. Go with him there, deeper into our city, where you will be measured and where you shall receive the token of our gratitude.”
Flyin’ High followed the Kulatak escort.
“As for the rest of you,” the leader said, “we cannot abide your presence here much longer. I have sensed something malevolent, especially now that we have made our discovery. I have seen opportunistic eyes among you. And furthermore, my offended nostrils cannot tolerate the smell coming from those three. But we will not send you out into the icy mountains, even though the storm has abated and the snow now falls with grace. You must meet Yewl.”
Yewl was a gnomish little man with round spectacles and a face full of whiskers. The sight of human visitors delighted him. Yewl’s workshop was a tinkerer’s dream: Parts and tools strewn about in a cheerful disarray, with charts and telescopes and dozens of unnamed objects and unfinished projects.
Before Yewl could address anyone, the Kulatak spoke from the doorway: “Yewl, please transport these people away from here. Leave as soon as it is prudent.”

Re: [Night 8] Masters of the Universe Mafia

Night 8: The Airship
“We’re going to travel in that thing?” someone asked.
Yewl tried to pretend that he was not offended, but his chagrin came through all the same. “I’ll have you know I’ve piloted this airship many times, and often without incident!”
The groaning and creaking that accompanied the machine’s startup was hardly reassuring, but the mistrustful inhabitants of Stilia were insistent that their party depart from them, even though at the same time they continued to express their thanks for Flyin’ High’s quick assistance with the ancient door. The puzzle-solver rejoined the party just before takeoff.
The airship ascended high into the snowy darkness, leaving its hangar and all of Stilia behind.
“Visibility’s all right- not perfect, but I’ve been through worse. Gauges are all normal.” Yewl continued to spatter jargon and other incomprehensible technical talk in an obvious effort to reassure his doubtful passengers.
“Take us south, to Eternos Palace,” someone said.
“Eternos Palace?” Yewl mewed, but caught himself. “Of course! Eternos Palace is where we shall go!”
Throughout the night, the airship hobbled southward. The snow eventually ceased. They passed the wide Plains of Perpetua. They could see in the distance the smoldering, smoky remnants of the chemical plant in Pelleezea. The air acquired a saltiness as they traveled over the Sea of Rakesh, and then it became dry and parched as they passed the Sands of Time.
It was nearly dawn when a tempest frustrated their travel. And Yewl panicked.
As many of the passengers attempted to calm Yewl down and keep the airship stable in the squall, someone approached indiglo, who stood by the railing, holding on and trying not to vomit.
In the darkness, the assailant’s mask was perhaps a redundancy. He lifted indiglo by the legs and hoisted her overboard. The thunder shrouded her scream as she fell.
Her fear of the fall itself was intensified by the total darkness of the night; indiglo would not be able to anticipate the moment of impact, the instant of her death.
An impact did come, but not from below. The collision was so great, it knocked her breath out. But she soon realized that her feet found solid ground. She clutched the redolent earth in her hands as she waited for her breath to return. Even though the deluge gnawed at her eyes, she watched in horror as the airship went down. The crash she heard was not thunder.
The morning shone brightly by the time she caught up to the others. Everyone was wounded and tending their injuries along a shoreline littered with wreckage. They all somehow survived. Everyone except Yewl. The engineer’s small figure remained in the compressed cockpit.
"Where are we?" the stunned indiglo asked.
There was one missing PM.
It is now Day 9. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.
