It’s fascinating to me that I literally vote in defence of someone who has taken three votes and noone blinks an eye.

Lots of people claim their roles early when they feel under pressure which Kate clearly did. Vanilla is a role that is not easily disproven in the way that a role with a more active component might be. But beyond that it's just an unlikely role to exist in the game, as previous GOCs have been role madness and nanook is not a host that is likely to make a game more mountainous.

Ill be honest, I have been mulling this over all day. If Ender is wolf he has put himself in a very difficult position. He either knows I am town and has steaked his reputation in this game on me being wolf and has to explain why he was wrong on his best read (he claims) or he has to backtrack a hard scum read as either a joke or fancy play syndrome. The weird thing about this (and I do think it's genuine) is that you have taken a question I asked Alison about Alison's headspace, and taken it as though it was my actual headspace.

It's Alison's words that I have 'no desire' to convince people. In reality, I did work to talk to scotty (the only person who voted for Kate) with the goal of convincing him not to vote for Kate. And I was able to have that conversation with Scotty because I know him well enough. I don't know Alison at all and she doesn't me, so I have no metric to consider what might appear to be 'convincing' to her.

The reality is, even though I haven't needed to, I WOULD choose to defend any of the people I've planted a town read on with my vote. But I've only needed to do it for Scotty because there hasn't been real heat on any of them. The apparent heat on Kate, other than a pretty genuine convo with Scotty, seems to me to be essentially illusory... content for testing reaction.
