The 2014 Syndicate Awards - Favorite Quote
The first round of voting is now closed. We are moving on to some of our individual "Socky" awards. We are going to try and keep this round open for 1 week, but since this one will be run a bit differently we may extend this one for longer.
For this category we are looking for nominations for funny or memorable quotes from games played this year. You can nominate as many quotes as you like. Just post them in this thread. Please include a link to the quote, if possible.
Thanks.

I also have to give a shout out to Vompatti, who is always amusing. The one that sticks in my mind is "Killing animals is wrong unless we eat them" which has the virtue of being true as well as funny.
Does anyone remember what that one game was with the screamingly hilarious insanified posts? I was trying to find it, but can't, and I don't even remember if it was this year.

The quote I will never forget is from last year's champions game.
insertnamehere wrote:So, let me preface this by saying that I am by no means, an expert at coding. This was the first really big program that I've decided to make. It could work, it could not, I'm going to try and see.
I've created a program that goes into every poster's game history, specifically games where they were bad, and sees what their top phrases or words are. It then contrasts those with the top words or phrases from a persons post history when they were good. It then eliminates the words that were on both lists, leaving us with that person's tells. After that, it goes into this thread, and sees how many times someone uses words or phrases identified as tells. The higher that number is, the more likely chance you are to be bad. This was a bitch to make, and it's something I've worked on for a long time, a bit of a pet project if you will.
Now, of course, because of the limited sample size, the program is more likely to be incorrect these first few days, but, as more and more people post, I know more and more about their role.
To summarize, I'm the NSA now, bitches.

Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

there were some truely hillarious moments in Who - though I can't remember the exact quotes. God bless ardvark if he goes through that long ass thread to find them.
I love the whole "I saw so and so with the devil" thing during Harry Potter, but can't remember who said that either.
Lame thy name is Bea.

I also said, "I am the king of Romans and above grammar."bea wrote:really? that was you? damnit - I already sigged you once.

And for the record, it wasn't that I trusted Eloh, it's that the cases against her were nonsense (100% right, but nonsense).
