@ epi - Based on the two pictures, I'm gonna say, gang signs or no, little epi is way more thug than the larger. Sorry - it's just more natural with him, wot with the jaunty way he wears his cap.
@ svs - I agree - timmer's avi is very striking and IDK what it means either.
also - some random. I'm drinking vodka and lemonaid in the Pink Floyd Coffee Mug splintsy sent me. It's of the Animals album cover. With the smoke stacks that remind me of Cleveburg. I find this to be a completely acceptable use of this mug.

Re: Random~
oh also - more random - there is some srrs re-evaluation of my life going on right now. I'm holding out for the new GM to start at the store. I am giving him a bit of time to get settled - but once he comes in and I'm not working 50-60 hours a week, I'm using my extra time for job hunting. I've made no secret about that. But what kind of jobs I'm looking into.... well....let's just say I'm open to things I've not always been open to before. Maybe it's time for me to think about being in a classroom again. And now is the perfect time to start looking at what I need to do to be certified, and getting that all done before this school year is out - so that I can job hunt in the summer.
I still need to leave this job on good terms - it's the only job I've held in this state. I NEED the reference.
I'll keep you all posted as it becomes relevant . But I'm considering things I've not considered in a LONG time. And that's probably very good for me. Maybe - just maybe - I'm ready for a classroom again.

Seriously. You needed to do this, but you also needed to come to this crossroads on your own steam. You can lead a teacher to the blackboard, but you can;t make them put down the pizza. Or something.

MP was all like, we have to assign a place where you always put your keys, even if I have to out a big sign there that says KEYS!
We finally give up,and I use the spare keys to my car and steal his key to my apartment. Then he texts me that night, guess where the keys turned up?

I'm coming to that point too. My boys are all getting to be school age (twins start kindergarten in Sept, and they just joined the soccer team!)... I live too far from work and work too far from home to make this work much longer. I'm torn on what to do, I love my job here, but I'm gonna miss too much there. On the other hand, jobs don't pay as much there as they do here. If we moved down here, I'd have to relocated the kids again. Poor Andrew already switched schools mid first grade... *sigh*

Samuel Adams is my favorite brand of beer (although I am not crazy about their flagship Boston Lager- I mainly use that for cooking). I bought a cause of their summer sampler, and the Little White Rye (had it with apple butter pork chops and carrots) was amazing. It may be my second favorite Samuel Adams beer.bea wrote:

I hate that some people think I am agressive. It is soooo disheartening to me. It literally has knocked the happiness out of me today because of it.
If my fun is agressive then maybe I need to not play or host games b/c agressive is deffo NOT the type of person I want to be labeled as. Irl I doubt there is anyone who would say I am agressive.
Agressive I hate the word.

Meh, i am not aggressive either irl, but i know i come across that way to those that do not know me. Don't worry about it Sweetness
Sometimes people confuse "persistent" with aggressive, and newer players often don't realize that putting yourself out there to catch baddies is what a civvie is supposed to be doing.
That said, I remember how upset i have been in the past over that label. But it is just a label, not a truth, so don't let it suck the happiness from you

Re: Random~
I think in mafia, aggressive has come to mean something it does not mean onthe real world. Someone who kind of plays a very vocal or opinionated game is considered aggressive in mafia, whereas in most other areas of life aggressive would mean belligerent or mean spirited. I highly doubt anyone considers the latter to apply to you at All my dear Roxy. Don't let it get you down, just consider the context.
you are an awesome and fun player, games are not the same without you!

I agree with that. I definitely am pigeonholed as an "aggressive" mafia player but I wouldn't say I'm that way at all IRL, lol. It's kind of weird how that works.

Re: Random~
I'm tired of being a half-hearted gamer. I am awful for starting a video game and NEVER finishing it. I mean, my goodness, I got to the very end of Neverwinter Nights shortly after our first child was born (2007!) and never bothered finishing off the final foe. I don't even know why I never completed it. Here is a list of games I have started and never ever finished:
Bladur's Gate
Mechwarriors 4: Black Knight & Mercenaries
Morrowind
Oblivion
Icewind Dale
Samurai 2 Total War
Empire Total War
X-Men Legends 2
Gangsters 2
Siege of Avalon
Halo
I am sure there are plenty more. Granted, having children has significantly limited my time with computer gaming, but with my son being a 5-year-old little gamer, we've been able to spend time together (he loves watching me play pretty much ANYTHING).
I don't have any plans to go through all of those games listed above, but when the school year has ended, I'm going to play through many of them.
That said, I bought several games through GOG (excellent site for cheap games, including many classics. I highly recommend Lord of the Realms 2).
I am about to start going through the Fallout series. I've never played a Fallout game before, so I'm going to start with 1, then 2, then Tactics and so forth. And I am going to get through them, darn it!
I also bought The Witcher and Divinity II, both of which seem quite promising.

1) DT - I thought every thread was the DT. *shrug*
(and yes, there were many many many good times in that thread. At least - I have foggy memories of many many good times. um...I think?
)
2) re: "aggressive playing." - If only given the words aggressive and passive, then yes, rox, more times than not I'd describe you as an aggressive player. That said - I think Daisy is spot on correct. The words we are looking for are "vocal" and "persistent." Not aggressive. In that context tend to think of aggressive players being more like say a wabbit - or a tranq - or a chris. - Not you. It works for them, but yea. It's totes not your style. I like your style and lots of other people do too. We would be worse for the wear without you.
3) Epi's gaming - My sweetie likes the fallout games. He's played them all. I hear great things about skyim too. I am not a gamer so every birthday and christmas I have to harass the people at game stop with "What should I buy him?!?!" I feel badly for that, but they've been pretty helpful.
