I am sorry I disagreed with your logic about Augers/random voting/weak reasoning. I was just having a bit og fun with the random debate. I will no longer look for fun in this game.

I will no longer be "agressive". I will place my votes and give a reason and that will be all.

If I offended anyone with my so called "agressiveness" I apologize.
You are being a little silly. No one is offended. No one is mad at you. We are all having fun. You have every right to be aggressive, but we have every right to think you are a baddie based on it. Cheer up, Roxy! :)

Yeah, exactly! I'm definitely not offended, and I (like everyone else, I hope) am in it for all the cheesy, 80s-themed fun I can get! You should play exactly how you want, but please don't be upset if I or others have a game-related response to your actions and statements.

Also, I think a large portion of your last post should have been in Sarcastic Orange ;)

Still missing a few PMs~ since it is Night One, I will let it go until half an hour before the poll closes, but those PMs need to be in an hour before the end of the night from here on it, ;)

8 AM

MacGyver woke up to sunshine in his eyes. It streamed in the small porthole of his staff cabin. He sat up and stretched, he felt GREAT~!! He looked at his clock; 8 AM. He sniffed the air, and it did not seem to have any residual gas odors. He got up and looked in the mirror, and then down at his arms and legs, and saw no marks that might indicate he had been injected with anything. He sniffed the cup with last nights herbal tea, and did not detect any odors of sedatives. He was stumped.

He walked to the door, and while there seemed to be a sticky residue around the frame, it did not appear to have been forced. He looked into his duffel bag (since the loss of his chewing gum, he was paranoid about his possessions) and everthing appeared to be safely in its place.

Maybe, he thought, for once in his life ABSOLUTELY NOTHING had happened the night before!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 AM
Swiss knew that the baddies would make a big play tonight. He knew he could depend on Duct to do what needed to be done. Being kept in different parts of Macs duffel, they had never met, and never would, but they had their way to communicate. Swiss let Duct know what had to be done, and Duct did it.
No bad forces would get into their cabin that night.
No one has died, no one has had to talk in tongues
It is now Day 2
So, in the post, I wonder if it was important that it was 7 am but MacGyver's clock read 8 am? :shrug:
I looked back at the Day 0 votes just to be sure, and Rox voted Gator Grip, and you did not vote that (you voted Fisherman). So... I'm not sure what that means, or if it has a connection to the players not being on the poll.
So what are people's thoughts on the chemistry lecture? It either came from the player with that role or from SVS, right? Either way, I think it should be given some weight. I ignored cryptic info in ny last game, which ended up being to my detriment. And ignoring lectures leads to failing. So MP, what have you done to be creepy? And anyone else care to weigh in on how valuable they believe the lecture is?
It's hard to know. If it comes from a player, it is no more valuable than any of the other opinions expressed in this thread. If it comes from SVS, it is a different matter.
Generally the way these things work there is some information that is true and some that is false. Figuring out which is which is the hard part.
Also, Chemistry Book if you think MP is creepy in this game go read him in the other game. Creepy is as creepy does.
I looked at this a little more carefully, and here's my take.
The bit about Snow Dog indicates to me that he has secrets, which would make him either Mac, Penny or the Army Knife.
"Vompatti is useful in a crisis" reminded me of this description: "Swiss Army Knife~ Macs BFF~ sends messages to MacGyver periodically and goes into crisis mode should Penny find the bomb before she finds MacGyver *secret*"
MP being creepy makes me kind of want to lynch him now, even though he hasn't particularly struck me as bad yet.
I agree that one of these pieces of info is likely false, so let's think about which one it might be.
I have no idea what I've done to be creepy (in THIS game, lol), so unless creepy has a new meaning all of a sudden, that piece of information has to be bogus.
It only "has" to be bogus if you are not lying, which is not an assumption I'm willing to make at this point.
Your analyses here of Snow Dog and Vompatti make sense. What if they're both true? And here's another thing I thought of, how do we know if there are 2 true and 1 false, 1 true and 2 false, or 3 false? And what if it's not consistent?
The fact that you're seriously contemplating (or seem to be) lynching me based off of a piece of information whose accuracy we don't even have any idea of and the fact that it says I'm "creepy" says to me that perhaps you're not being particularly logical about it.
It's my word against the science book. I am not "creepy", lynching me would be a mistake. I think the information from the science book needs to be taken with a grain of salt because we don't know how much of it is reliable. If we end up confirming some of it later on, then perhaps we can find out what is true or false, but just assuming at least one of them has to be true, and that it is based entirely without merit, well, that's absurd.
I've played many games with these type of info roles and they're usually not much help.
Relax, MP. I have not made a decision yet. However, we know the Science Book is good and we don't know whether you are or not, so I'm merely suggesting we don't ignore the info we've been given.
Who are you thinking of lynching at this point?
I know, just put yourself in my shoes, lol. I'm not saying we should ignore it either, sometimes info can be proven true or false. It just has to be taken clearly with a grain of salt.
You know, if I had to vote right now, I'm not sure. I do think Snow Dog and INH could have been bandwagoning, but I'm not particularly reading either of their behavior as baddie, currently. I thought the way AATB responded to the fact that he got 1 vote was kind of pingy, in a way similarly to what you saw in Boomslang in MOTU (the frustrated newbie baddie getting attention for the wrong reasons), and I'm still not sure what I think of Rox.
All of that to say, I don't know. I'll probably read through the entire game tonight once I get home from work which will still give me another two or three hours to vote.
You know, I thought that was strange too, considering usually when there is a failed nightkill it will say so and so survived a kill attempt by so and so team. Nothing like that at all.
That could be how SVS is doing failed kills or it could mean there was a missing PM.
You don't? I just reread it. SVS's games usually tell a story. If someone had been targeted for a kill and it failed, I doubt the post would say absolutely nothing happened.
You don't? I just reread it. SVS's games usually tell a story. If someone had been targeted for a kill and it failed, I doubt the post would say absolutely nothing happened.
I haven't had the pleasure of playing as many SVS games as I should have (for some reason they've come up at bad times for me during the past), but I'll agree that the mafia norm is to state the failed kill in the post.
Well, we can at least try asking if there were missing pm's. Won't tell us definitively if the kill was missing and based on her warning she might not tell us but I'm willing to try:
S~V~S were there any missing pm's last night?
No bad forces would get into their cabin that night.
Having read the host post again, I think this is likely the reason for no night kill.
Really, I guess its possible, but I would think it would say something like...the killer couldnt penetrate duct's thick tape or summat.
Well my biggest suspect at the moment is INH. His vote for LT was weird as was his back and forth with her. It was like he decided he was voting for her but didnt read the thread. I'll go back and post examples of this when I can.
I believe, and I know you don't llama, that a PM was missing for the kill last night based on the way the post was written. INH made one post about 10 minutes after LT was lynched and none since then. He has not logged on since Mon Mar 18, 2013 8:47 pm. I suspect that he forgot or otherwise failed to send in his pm.
To clarify, I'm not arguing that your hypothesis is wrong. I'm just trying to avoid making assumptions with minimal evidence at this point. You may well be right.
I am an avid Survivor watcher, and a strategy that I have seen being used is that of claiming it to be his/her birthday in order to gain sympathy.
Because of this, I'm voting for her.
Here's one example. Lt had already said she voted early by accident, thus INH's argument that "she's around" doesn't really hold water.
Not to mention, that it was obviously her birthday.
I just reread INH, and you're right. He does seem suspicious. His accusation of LT faking her birthday to gain sympathy seems very contrived given how easy it is to fact check. Also, he overtly defended Boo, whom I still don't trust. I am now leaning in your direction towards voting for him.
Kate wrote: I'm going to vote for Boo. I think that his suggesting to vote BWT early in the day for not having checked in is suspect. I also think he is too good of a player to think that way.
*votes Boo*
What exactly is wrong with this strategy?
He seems firmly against randomizing but in favor of voting a normally active player for not having shown up yet, on day one. I think Boo's idea of voting BWT was a bad one, so INH supporting it stinks of baddie bandwagoning. Jumping on a bad idea and hoping it will catch fire.
This post pinged me too. I think I even said something about the birthday thing in the thread, it seemed so ridiculous for him to state that. And the point about LT already having said she voted early by accident also made this post odd. I can see an INH vote at this point in the day.
MP wrote: I'm feeling the same way on all three of those players. I would say this seems to be relatively normal behavior from Rox, so while it doesn't make sense to me, she's not necessarily really pinging me as BADDIE or anything. I haven't played with her in a while now though. I'll read through posts myself once I have some more time and see if I can't figure anything out. I do think there's one baddie to be found in the LT bandwagon, perhaps, just not sure who it is.
Sockman- You say you haven't played with me in awhile - would you actually consider this statement to be true? B/c to me it is a flat out lie. We played the HV game then Epi's game and now this one. Thats 2. 1 games recently. In the HV game you went so far as to say what my normal game behavior was. So hmmm
As for the NP not saying who was targeted I actually agree with - wait for it - llama - I think Swiss gave the power to Duct the power to prevent the NK from going through. I thought that when I originally read it and I still think after re-reading it twice.
As to who I am looking for the lynch I haven't settled betwixt the 2 I have in mind.
