My read accuracy and winrate is quite low on the Syndicate, I'm afraid that there is just a big vibe mismatch. I struggle to understand a lot of people and a lot of people struggle to understand me.

I never thought about it this way but I'm pretty sure I struggle reading anyone older than me. I have an easier time reading younger people than me. If you're above 25 then I just can't empathize with you fully due to lacking your amount of experience being alive, I think.

My last mafia rand here was 3 years ago, and in those years I've only randed mafia once on SC2 mafia, and about 30-40 town rands. Wilgy, Long Con and nutella are the only ones here who have seen me mafia I think.

Cape you'll be able to tell imo but ppl read him wrong all the time so idk maybe defer and outsource your read if you need

I think that making the read that anyone is out of their wolf range yet would be very incorrect and dare I say disrespectful to their wolfing skills. That being said, of course the value of at least trying to make reads to push the game forward is valuable, it needs to start one way or another, and simply making a guess on people's alignments - nothing wrong with that.

So, let me take a leap of faith and try: I think Jack town, Scotty town, Cape town.

I don't feel great about it, and those could easily be wrong, but I suppose we need to get through the rocky start of the game one way or another.

yep it sure is, but thats cos im on a timer most games im village so ive shifted my focus from towncore building into just trying to kill wolves

there were other entrances that seemed fine but i havent played as much with those players so i was waiting for the day to play out some more. but since you brought it up id scotty seemed relaxed tonally, and i liked tutuu but im not sure if thats alignment indicative for them or not, they strike me as someone id probably like and get along with as either alignment

In a vacuum I'd say this is a >rand wolf post. (Edit: Not because of a particular benefit to wolves, just my observation from playing many games). But it would be relevant to take into account Darling's inexperience with everyone (unless they are an alt). Even if they were an alt they'd be pretending to be a newcomer anyway so it doesn't matter. What I was saying was ... yeah, it could be chalked up to the awkwardness of being a newcomer to a party where you don't know anyone. Chances are you won't be smooth from the start. So I suppose I should decide how much I wanna weigh in each of these two scales.

Hedgyness is scummy in my experience I agree; this particular archetype of a sentence ilario wrote "I like this person" hasn't been a scumtell in my personal experience.

Scotty was a wolf for the first time in forever, in the last game here, Guitar Mafia. He pocketed me on Day 1, and so I stayed true to him for the whole game, even as I called out his wolf partner at the start of Day 2. I was the only one in the game to make an accusation that was both strong and accurate, but of course no one would listen/acknowledge it.

The only potential pro is to not get myself scumread as Giving Reads Early is considered Standard Etiquette for a Good Samaritan Townie ... but yet ... what do I do when I don't have reads and I don't care about manipulating people by being mafia?...
