When Falcon left the show with his friends, he was in a great mood.

Not the least bit apprehensive. Maybe this was a mistake.

A Battle of the Bands was the kind of show Falcon most enjoyed attending. The bands had been spot on; not a note out of place, unless it sounded better that way. It was hard to say that one had been better than the other. Normally, his head would be filled with the sounds of the bands he had just heard, he might be humming as he walked or even singing a few lines of the lyrics. As his friends were doing, some air guitar, singing into an invisible microphone.

But tonight, he kept hearing pounding trumpets, a driving beat; not a rock beat. At first he thought it was totally in his head, but soon it seemed to be in the air around him. He looked at his friends, but they did not seem aware of it. They turned a corner into a dark alley (stories like this always seem to end up in dark alleys, yet people still somehow always turn into them). When you turn into an alley, you expect to find some garbage pails, maybe a few stray cats. But in this alley, they were confronted with a group of varied great apes. Not something you'd expect in a clean, friendly town in Canada.

Falcons friends, who were not mesmerized by music only they could hear, turned tail and fled like the sharp mobsters they were. Falcon, not so much.

They were almost up to 100 bwa ha ha, when they realized someone was sitting next to them, holding pointy objects. For the last, and only, time in their life, Sabi lost count.

When the team arrived to Camp Green Lake, rubbing their bruised backsides, the door opened to a vast field of hardened dirt and emptiness.

Coach SVS surveyed the field. “This’ll do. It’s an old pitch.”
Coach Scotty coughed and whistled uncomfortably, then started: “Yes, well. I also forgot the bag with the gear. Whoopsie Daisy.”

SVS scowled. “Well it’s a good thing this used to be a MafiaSportsball pitch. I’m sure the property manager wouldn’t mind if we all pitch in and dig around here to find some equipment so we can practice.”

There are items buried in the lakebed. Each player may dig one hole today, if it has not already been claimed. Claim a hole by using the vote tags and picking a plot, such as [VOTE: Dig A1] aubergine.

Players will learn if they find anything from their hole at end of day. This will not be revealed publicly.

If a player doesn’t dig a hole today, they will receive +1 vote against them in the poll.
