I didn't really think it was a "slip" like he knows better. I was teamed with him recently and he's pretty aware of where teammates are threadwise, he would be unlikely to make a mistake like that. And I've seen a few slips (once this girl, SoFi, was PMing her team to get in chat something was happeneing they needed to talk about, and she posted it in the thread by mistake. Said all their names and everything. Oops!)

This game favors the mafia at face value if mafia exactly repeat the death of a player they are killing and making it ‘NK player has been killed and was vanilla civ’.

It’s mostly a waste to use someone else that isn’t dead because they’ll still appear in the poll. So it’s only adding chaos for town to be info-leaning in their fake post.

It’s basically a free janitor, unless I’m reading it wrong. So that’s cool for them.

But you don't have to use it for that, a faux host post. You can say whatever you like as i read it. You can anon info dump, or whatever. Like "There is a cop in this game" , or "Player X is Mafia". Although that could help the bads, especially early days. And you'd have to be really careful about wording as blandly as possible.

Based on their own roles, the baddies will know we have one of two possible set ups. It will also be harder for the SK if they don't know which set up we have. So if you insist on yoloing, wait until there has been a PR flip. But i don't see how town benefits from any pre flip claims.

I was assuming that people would be using it for fake claiming, to keep the wolves in the dark as long as possible, and fake out the SK. It's a chaos element (have you met Wilgy?) and "Player X is dead, he's Vanilla Civ" times 12 is kinda meh.

Ah, there’s a better use for town, for sure. I just figured anyone can put anything and even if an info role put their true info in there, the advent of chaos just decreases the viability for town usefulness on the whole.

Like if we were playing a D&D campaign and every player but 1 was playing chaotic neutral, the main quest would be completed in spite of the chaos machines.

This is mainly why I read the set up so closely. I've played several Wilgy games, and there are always experimental and/or chaos elements.

I need to see more from Michelle. I need to get a feel for her, same for Roxy. Epi and TSP only have one post each, but I can get a fairly quick (although not necessarily right) sort on them fairly quickly. I need to see content from Rox and Michelle.

Jack and LC mainly seem to be lolcatting. I have grossly misread both of them in the recent past so want to get a better idea to develop.

Splints has been a no show. Falcon has been content light, but I also know his tourney game started.

Scotty is doing his yuk yuk Scotty thing, but he's also topical. Bad Scotty hides behind the yuk yuk stuff, this Scotty doesn't seem to be doing that.

I tend to equate snappy Porscha with townie Porscha and sweetie Porscha with Bad Porscha, she fooled the shit out of me in Hot Dog Fingers, with all of her niceness. The Porscha here feels a bit snappy to me, but pulled back a bit. So she's a question mark.

If I had to vote right not, not sure what I'd do, I'm finding more town or low content question marks. Hopefully we get some more posting going on.

Scot is definitely playing the town leader here which is not something Im used to from him but probably been at least half a decade since our last game together.

I don't automatically trust town leaders but I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt for a while, since it's a hard position for mafia to be in without slipping. That said with this game's activity level, the bar to clear to be a town leader is low.

So scot = lean town. Everyone else = meh.

My only experience with Porscha was my last scum game which also happened to be the scum performance of my life, and ended with a Porscha misyeet at Lylo.

I don't remember it very clearly but if my memory doesn't fail me, the entire thing was a long term project of mine to make people slowly suspect Porscha.

And a wolf team is only as creative as it's members are involved. I've seen teams where the members literally only show up in chat to discuss kills. No strategizing, no brainstorming. Not every team is the Arbiters. So even if some wolves are a hive mind, it's still a good idea not to point out their tools for them.

I like you for the tone of this post, but I'm not sure how much I agree with you. I always think hunting based on activity is playing roulette. The fact some players are not playing shouldn't be a reason to let others who are, get away scot free.

Of course, if the game goes on and some players have zero activity with no hopes of replacement, it falls into town's hands to finish them off. But now? I'd rather focus on people who are playing.

Update, as of now I realize Epi si not playing this game, lol. I saw he had a post so I stuck him on my "Need to hear more!" list; doh.

I still want to hear more from Michelle; we don't always agree, but when we don't, I generally understand her POV. I don't understand it here.

Rox is still a null for me, low/no activity in spurts is NAI for her, if anything radio silence could slightly lean town for me since she's generally a responsible baddie who doesn't want to let her team down.

TSP also null, like Roxy he shows up in clusters. LC all lulz all the time, still null. Splints no posts, so no idea. Falcon no real topical content.

No change re feelings for Scotty, I feel better about Porscha even if he doesn't. DDL, still mildly nullish verging on towny, but mostly towny.

My no vote right now is Scotty, Porscha, DDL. My unlikely votes are sig and Jack. Rox, TSP, Splints and Falcon are full nulls for me. LC is also null, but this is all very weird, it's not something I expect from him.

I don't like yeeting low posters solely for being low posters. But i also feel like that kinda penalizes the active people for being active, by making them the voting pool, especially on Day One. I am not saying I find LC suspish; I find him null. If that goes more than a day, I might find him suspish, but there is nothing to base that on. Just like there is nothing to base putting him in a no vote position either. You left Roxy, Splints and TSP off list. And a wolf team is only as creative as it's members are involved. I've seen teams where the members literally only show up in chat to discuss kills. No strategizing, no brainstorming. Not every team is the Arbiters. So even if some wolves are a hive mind, it's still a good idea not to point out their tools for them.

The best wolf teams are ones that spend a ton of time chatting. So the best wolf teams are teams with Mac in them.

A word on TSP. Several times in recent games, I have pushed him for being too quiet and he got yeeted and he was town.
