I disagree with this line of suspicion from SVS on Lemonfairy. I thought Lemon’s unserious-serious vote felt like the kind of loose, uncalculated play that comes from a townie who’s just trying to get a feel for the game early on.

An old man offered a handful of seeds to a large gathering of pigeons in the main square of Scottyville. These birds often came on a bright sunny day to enjoy the generous offerings of the gentleman. Most of the birds had had their fill and were politely letting the hungrier of their peers take more. A small, off-kilter pigeon favoring its left leg hopped slowly towards the man. Seeing this, the sweet old man produced a humongous handful of seeds for the weak thing. ‘After all’, he nodded to himself, ‘all are deserving to reap the rewards equally’. He stuck out his hand and the curious bird ever-so-delicately clicked its beak.

Then out of nowhere, a large boot the size of a fridge absolutely flattened the bird. The old man barely had time to glance up at the commission before a racecar, a wheelbarrow and a once-thought-extinct T-Rex rampaged through the park.

Someone planted a new sign in front of the park, renaming it.

Gloriously, the area was under new development. Sweet, beautiful new development.

In another district, @Lemonfairy joined the neighborhood with now destitute Porscha, while @DrWilgy bought up Goober Ave next door to @S~V~S in her new house, named Doggerland I.

Further down the street, near a large parking lot, @Cape90 found a lovely new home in Red2. He kept the wallpaper and the pre-war era furnace. How quaint.

Additionally, The Swag Palace has gone into foreclosure and is now up for auction in the auction channel.

Mayor Scotty, upon hearing the news, sat upright and *nearly* spilled his coffee. But he didn’t, because he’s too boss for that.

The news was indeed disturbing, however. He slammed his finger down on the intercom button and buzzed in his secretary.

A small Yorkie shuffled in with a tray of hot towelettes on its back. Scotty blotted his forehead with one, and haphazardly threw it back onto the tray. The Yorkie retreated with haste because it knew its place.

He knew it was only a matter of time before the housing market would become unsustainable with the seemingly ‘too-good-to-be-true’ deals out there. They were too good to be true. He just had to make sure the banks that were granting the loans didn’t outspend their reserves. There were murmurs of the veteran realtors picking the pockets of the naive…these moves weren’t exactly against the FHFA, and frankly, Scotty barely had a bachelors and this is only a game of silly mafia crap, so it’s not worth a deep dive into financial mumbo jumbo.

But Scotty twirled his mustache around his fingers and felt nervous nonetheless. Sure he had a silver spoon in his mouth and a parachute landing if something were to happen in his grand Scottyville. But this was the capitalist ideal, and surely good would prevail.

‘Good’ being subjective, of course.

I looked at some falcon posts, and I thought they could be villainous. Like where he calls Cape not-towny for bringing up Lime Coke and Sloonei as options, and Roxy agrees, and he says "mind-meld". Could be a negative bias on the reading but it gave me bad vibes in light of Cape's town flip.

Of the RVS votes, Lemons stuck out tht most to me, not sure if it was a joke since Capes vote was pretty obvs a joke, or not. Taking someones obvs joky RVS vote and trying to say it's actually suspish is a fairly typical baddie move. That looked like this to me, but i could also see it being it's own joke vote. So eh.

OK, but did you not see that I was clearly being reachy and gave a terrible reason?
If I were actually a wolf I'd have tried harder to give a legitimate-sounding reason if I wanted to push someone.

What I don't get is that you seem to understand I was doing RVS things and/or joking but you keep clinging on to it (and kind of ignoring everything else).

And to be fair, all votes in the early stages where you're just testing to see what fits feels like they're kind of a joke but has the potential to become serious depending on how the voted acts/react after the vote is made. IDK why having a vote be both is a big deal and I can't tell if this is purely a meta clash between you and me or if you're trying to make something out to be more suspicious than it is.

Generally when you have 3 votes in a small game like this, it's an easy misyeet. People forget to come back, or they run late at work or whatever. But he honestly doesn't seem all that concerned about it. I don't know that I would be going all No U if it were me, but "Eh I'm sure it's a joke" is very mellow of him.

I felt as though SVS was presuming my innocence without any critical assessment here. She is quick to dismiss the votes on me as jokes (which they were, to be fair) while tossing some shade ("yucky") at those who've voted for me. But her one question for me didn't feel too probing, and I never got the sense that she pursued the thought that I might deserve the votes that I had, even if they weren't serious. As if she saw that I had votes, asked a token question, and then immediately pivoted to soft-defending me. This is the kind of thing that could happen when a Mafia member wants to score some towny points by defending a player under pressure that they know to be innocent.

When Epi asks if this exchange taught her anything about me, she starts by saying "It really didn't", and ends by saying she found my behavior "kinda towny."

like you have never misread someone....I have to be fair Cape's d 1 was all over the place and I almost voted for them myself for a quad-way tie but alas and alack we know what I did. I, too, am finding you towny and to be sure I do not know why. SVS is a v top tier player. To say I can read her would be a lie. We tend to circle each other warily. Me more than her lol Her game this time feels smooth, if that makes sense. While I have agreed a lot with what she has posted I am always wary. I will try and keep an open mind to what you are perceiving about her this game. But it is still early.

I read your posts (and the other two voters) where you supposedly gave your reasons for voting for him, and I took nothing away from them. Sometimes I find that asking the person with the votes why they think they're getting votes (especially ambiguous ones like yours and LC's) tells me something about them, as well as the votes on them. So I asked him cause I was looking for his opinion.

It really didn't. But it was still worth asking.

Generally when you have 3 votes in a small game like this, it's an easy misyeet. People forget to come back, or they run late at work or whatever. But he honestly doesn't seem all that concerned about it. I don't know that I would be going all No U if it were me, but "Eh I'm sure it's a joke" is very mellow of him.

What was there to be probing about? I asked you my question and your answer told me what I wanted to know. I think if you were bad, you would have been more stressed out by those votes.

I disagree with this line of suspicion from SVS on Lemonfairy. I thought Lemon’s unserious-serious vote felt like the kind of loose, uncalculated play that comes from a townie who’s just trying to get a feel for the game early on.

I have some slight beef with SVS, but I feel like she’ll struggle to answer any questions right now unless I’m asking her where I can find a quick influx of cash.

Of the RVS votes, Lemons stuck out tht most to me, not sure if it was a joke since Capes vote was pretty obvs a joke, or not. Taking someones obvs joky RVS vote and trying to say it's actually suspish is a fairly typical baddie move. That looked like this to me, but i could also see it being it's own joke vote. So eh.

I thought Sloonei's take on S~V~S had just the amount of nuance and mafia instinct that I like. I might support him for that vote if it comes down to it, down the line. I know that S~V~S gave a reasonable rebuttal/explanation, but it didn't move me. That said, I need to read through the day again.
