Re: The Donner Party - Night 1
The way those two were playing, I had a feeling something weird like that would happen, especially with that last vote. I see a "lunch prevention" role but other than that...dunno about the self votes. And no other idea yet of why it went down like it did (including the no rotation).
Y'all are crazy. And I'm going with 1, because I am so

Re: The Donner Party - Night 1
Oh, yes, don't get me wrong -- there is Jacob Donner's role, but I figured since Elizabeth Donner brought the light onto Epi, I discounted that possibility altogether.
Oh well. Guess we'll see what happens tonight.
Linki w/ Blooper: Indeed, reminds me of Clue! What a fun game that was.
Linki w/ Zomb: Night time is when any role powers are PMed to Rox. So if your role has a power that is usable during the night time, as is typical, then you can PM that to her. It's basically a repeat of Night 0. Except this time kills can and will be used.

I thought people were voting for Epi becasue of FZ's theory about probability. I voted for him because of how he reacted to my vote for Zomba. I think he knows I am not bad, and he voted for me anyhow.nijuukyugou wrote:Agreed. I thought I'd see some insight reading through the thread why he and LC are the top candidates. It seems Epi's being voted for being Epi. Let the man play, for God's sake! :P LC seems to be voted because of (possibly fake?) infodumping, even though others have seemingly done the same, and given this as a reason to vote Epi (the whole "it's probability" thing). And now LC's voted himself. So many self votes and switches. Is there something I'm missing? There's definitely some weirdness going on here. Weird game. So let's make it interesting.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Can we not lynch Epi? I wanted to play mafia with him.

Jacob Donner - Brother/Father - You have a secret stash of food giving him the chance to prevent one lunch from happening.MovingPictures07 wrote:Only one theory springs to mind since there is no apparent lunch stop:
Epi is either Hunger or Winter and the "secrets" that he was talking about is that one or both of them has a lunch stop.
Hence why he didn't care using it up, since he'll probably switch out anyway, and it hurts the baddie team a bit.
That's all I got.
I'm totally Jacob Donner. Elizabeth was just mad at me the other day because I had too much to drink.
Wait...

Re: The Donner Party - Night 1
Ah, Clue. Still holds my record number of posts, even though I died so early. Good times
Good point about Donner. Forgot about that. I'm looking at roles and trying to come up with possible scenarios, but it seems it would be quite complicated with more than one factor (without secrets) for it to happen like it did. More thinking required. Also, why am I talking like Rorschach?
And @SVS, that's what I mean by the "probability thing," except I was combining it with the fact that LC seemed to have voted Epi in agreement with FZ's probability theory, as he was so-called "infodumping" to further prove FZ's point (further the probability). I did not say it quite so eloquently before.
Rob's such a troll.

Also i have no clue what you are talking about here, lambikins.Epignosis wrote:Ah. Again with what I know.S~V~S wrote:Nah, I am good. And I think you know it. We can change votes here unlike in Film. But I totally dislike her analysis on Snowman, whom I believe to be good.Epignosis wrote:She danced around a vote for me.
She easily voted for you when she had elsewhere expressed a distaste for voting for new people (welcome by the way).
She criticized my methods but didn't vote for me.
All of this is antithetical to what I believe a good S~V~S would do.
So this reaction makes me feel OK about switching my vote to you. Thanks for giving me a clear reaction so quickly
So something you posted weeks ago in another game before this game began was something you were cognizant of when you voted for Zomberella in order to gauge my reaction?
Talk about skillful planning.

Cool theory. I use a secret lynch save no one knows about instead of just voting LC on the fly and keeping it. You should write more of those.MovingPictures07 wrote:Hence my Weather/Hunger theory. I can't think of anything else.

Re: The Donner Party - Night 1
I believe he's clearly making a joke.Zomberella12 wrote:I'm super confused. Is Epi telling us he's Jacob Donner? Is that for real? What in the world is going on?
I find the possibility that he's Jacob Donner laughable at best:
1) Elizabeth Donner cast suspicion onto him when otherwise she didn't need to.
2) He self-voted, then voted S~V~S, then moved back and caused the lynch himself. No reason for him to use up a civilian resource if he is currently a civilian and is likely to switch to one later as well.
3) Epi would never out his own role.
Unless Epi and whoever is Elizabeth Donner are BOTH clearly playing the chaos "I don't give a ____" role. Which is possible, but there's still #3.
I just doubt it so much. Something else is at play here, especially given Epi's warning about "secrets". It may have been fabricated, but chances are there's some truth to it, in light of his survival.

Yeah, it's a pretty poor theory, I only thought it would make sense for the SK team to have a secret lunch stop. It's not based on anything evident.Ricochet wrote:Motto of this game, everyone. And i'm starting to think Dom was smart enough to get out of here in time.Dom wrote:wat

Re: The Donner Party - Night 1
No lynch, ha? What was exactly the state of votes at deadline? Was there a tie before Epi voted himself, or did LC have more votes?
Re: The Donner Party - Night 1
I just want to address the info dumping issue. The only thing that I said that could be considered as something of the sort is saying that Epi wasn't on my team. Had I just said that the probability of him being a baddie was higher for me because he wasn't a Donner, and then voted for him, would you not know he's not on my team?
The only way people would vote for someone on their team, is if they were baddies and then they'd probably move that vote before the actual deadline. So I am now convinced I didn't info dump, and I take my apology back.
And people voting for those who allegedly info dumped are not looking very civvie like in my eyes. *eyes* llama

The rules indicate that normal mafia rules apply. Role-outing is always against the rules, but some hosts don't state that infodumping is against the rules (ie. see GoC rules), so it is unclear if that is considered normal mafia rules or not.FZ. wrote:I just want to address the info dumping issue.
So to solve that problem, Roxy, is infodumping permitted?

I don't want to live in that universe.
